  • Publication number: 20100059935
Abstract: A betting game employing a game board and a cylindrical die with a plurality of flat surfaces, or faces, about its circumference that is spun like a top on a pointed bottom and allowed to spin until it falls to rest with a face upwardly directed that corresponds to a consequence indicated on the game board. Typically, a token is placed on a selective section of the game board that corresponds to a die face, typically by a same numeric designation. If the upwardly directed face corresponds to the section in which a token has been placed a payout is made. If a token placed bridging two adjacent sections, a payout of a lesser amount is also made. Two or more colors, but fewer colors than die faces, may be included on the die and game board. Thus, a bet can also be placed on which color will be found on the upwardly directed die face. A color bet is typically done by use of a same colored token or a token on a same colored section of the game board.

A position of one or more playing pieces on the peripheral ledges determines game play within the game board. Game boards can be attached together in a variety of ways to form updated playing surfaces of different shapes and sizes, thereby allowing for a variance in the play of the game. The playing pieces on the playing surface can move across multiple game boards. Thus, the rules of the game board in which the game piece moves dictates how the game piece thereon is played. Alternatively, each game piece retains its original functionality regardless of which game board it is currently positioned.

Abstract: This is a game played with a plurality of loco motor turreted vehicles FIG. 2. Involving strategy and skill, on any smooth or semi smooth surface without a game board. The game involves two groups of turreted vehicles FIG. 1. Which can be moved across the surface and which are capable of changing their lines of fire determined by the position of the moveable turret. The goal of the game is to steer any of one's turreted vehicles into the opponent's HQ (3), thereby winning the game (4D). This simple act is deterred by the fact that the vehicle cannot cross an opponent's vehicle's line of fire without being destroyed (4B). If this occurs, the vehicle is automatically deemed as destroyed and inverted at the point where it crossed the line of fire (4A). The vehicles may travel towards the opponent's HQ (3), and eventually into it, by avoiding the opponent's lines of fire. If this is not possible, the vehicle may choose to destroy the opponent's vehicles with the offending lines of fire.

Abstract: A system for determining the skill of a player eliminates the element of chance by comparing players who have the same initial position. In the case of cards, the initial position is the hand dealt to the player and in tile games, it is the initial distribution and arrangement of tiles. A player with a less than advantageous initial position may win a game over an opponent having a better initial position. It cannot conclusively be said whether this win is due to the good play of the winner or the bad play of the loser. However, it can clearly be said that the winning player has a higher skill level than the losing player.
