Abstract: It is to provide a paper cutter which can tear an uncut portion of paper easily and prevent from reeling out the paper from the device even when the uncut portion of the partial cut paper is pulled straightly. In a paper cutter having a guide 21 for guiding continuous paper R and cutting means for cutting the continuous paper R passing through the guide 21 with its one portion uncut, two projections 2a and 2b protruding in contact with the both surfaces of the continuous paper R are provided on a path of passing the two separated portions and the root-around portion R2 in the vicinity of the root R0 of the continuous paper, and when the tensile force works on the continous paper R passing through the guide 21, owing to these projections 2a and 2b, the lower portion of the root-around portion R2 of the paper is downwardly drawn, hence to provide an aperture in the portion around the root R0.

Abstract: A hand-held optical fiber cutting apparatus comprises a base, and a cutting device and a bending device, comprised of a pushing shaft mounted on the cutting device, that slide to perform cutting. The base includes an optical fiber guiding support to receive the optical fiber to be cut. Via a manual switch, an optical fiber clamp pivotably mounted onto the base can rotatably open or close to clamp the optical fiber. The bending device further includes a bending base pivotably assembled with the base. To cut the optical fiber, the cutting device and the pushing shaft slide toward the clamped optical fiber that is sequentially precut via a cutting blade of the cutting device and then cut off via a rotation of the bending base pushed by the pushing shaft.

Abstract: The invention describes a method and an apparatus removing a plurality of die-cut products from an operating area of a die-cutting apparatus having multiple dies. The die-cut products are simultaneously picked up at a pick-up point in the operating area. Then, they are simultaneously moved to a delivery point outside the operating area. At the delivery point, the die-cut products are released simultaneously. The operations of picking up moving and releasing are carried out in such a manner that the die-cut products at the delivery point are situated at substantially at the same position with respect to one another as those which they adopt at the pick-up point.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for collecting and removing chaff from an internal drum imaging system. The chaff collection apparatus includes a chaff tray coupled to the internal drum below the side punches. The chaff tray includes a cover comprising a plurality of evenly spaced frangible fingers. A specific set of the fingers is removed from the cover according to the locations of the side punches on the internal drum. In this manner, only the portions of the cover below the side punches are open to the interior of the chaff tray. The chaff produced by each punch passes into the chaff tray through a respective opening in the cover, and is captured within the chaff tray. The areas of the cover of the chaff tray that are not located below the side punches remain covered by the remaining frangible fingers, thereby preventing chaff from escaping the chaff tray.
