  • Patent number: 4920074
Abstract: The present invention provides a surface mount Gull-Wing type resin-encapsulating package for encapsulating a semiconductor chip, wherein the cut face (outer tip end) of each outer lead is formed to have a smaller cross-sectional area than that of each outer lead, for improving the extension of solder to the cut face of that lead. Such relatively smaller cross-sectional area of the outer tip end of each outer lead reduces the exposed area of the lead material when disconnecting the leads from the frame in separating the device from the frame.

  • Patent number: 4920262
Abstract: In a photoelectric device, particularly, a photoelectric device for optical communication, an optical fiber is fixed at two fixing points so that the extremity of the optical fiber is disposed opposite to the light emitting surface of a laser diode chip and the optical fiber extends in a nonlinear shape, for example, in a moderate curve, between the two fixing points. Even though holding members fixedly holding the optical fiber at the two fixing points and a base member supporting the holding members are formed of a metal or metals having a coefficient of thermal expansion far greater than that of the optical fiber, and even if the distance between the two fixing points is varied due to the thermal expansion or contraction of the holding members and the base member, the optical fiber is obliged only to change the shape of extension.

  • Patent number: 4918683
Abstract: An optical disc consists of a base plate, a reflective thin layer and a protective thin layer. As the base plate, polymethylmethacrylate is used. Since defects in the protective thin layer are a function of defects in the base plate, in order to reduce defects in the protective thin layer, defects in the base plate are reduced. For reducing defects in the base plate, a copolymer of methyl methacrylate and methyl acrylate is used.

  • Patent number: 4917176
Abstract: A device for cleaning inner surfaces of heat exchanger tubes including a pair of main cleaning device bodies each having a moving device and a brush driving device disposed on opposite tube plates on which each opened end of the heat exchanger tubes is disposed. At least one of the pair of main cleaning devices is provided with a cleaning brush changing device, and each brush driving devices is made to correspond to the opened end of the same heat exchanger tube so that pressurized fluid is alternately supplied to each of the corresponding brush driving device from a pressurized fluid supplying unit and thereby the cleaning brush is moved. As a result of this, only one cleaning brush can clean a multiplicity of heat exchanger tubes. Furthermore, since a brush changing device is provided, the cleaning brush can be at need replaced by fresh one so that a further number of heat exchanger tubes can be cleaned.

  • Patent number: 4918359
Abstract: A vertical deflection circuit used in a cathode ray tube display device for shortening a vertical blanking period is disclosed which includes back-flow blocking diode means for preventing an oscillating current from flowing backward to a vertical push-pull output amplifier circuit in the vertical blanking period, resonating capacitor means, and electrostatic energy supplying means for energizing a fly-back pulse. The resonating capacitor means is provided to generate resonance due to the capacitance of the capacitor means and the inductance of a vertical deflection coil, on the basis of the electro-magnetic energy of the vertical deflection coil at a time immediately before a retrace line starts from the bottom of display screen, thereby producing a fly-back pulse. The back-flow blocking diode means prevents the fly-back pulse from flowing backward to the vertical output circuit, that is, prevents the fly-back pulse from de-energizing the output of the vertical output circuit.
