Abstract: A semiconductor memory device includes a memory cell capacitor for storing information, wherein the memory cell capacitor includes a capacitor insulation film of a double oxide on a lower electrode. The lower electrode has a layered structure of Ir/IrO2/Ir or Ru/RuO2/Ru acting as a diffusion barrier of oxygen or Pb. Further, the use of a Pt—Ir alloy is disclosed for the lower electrode.
Abstract: A sealed non-aqueous electrolyte cell which has a casing made of a laminated material and which inhibits deterioration in the performance of the cell attributable to a decrease in the degree of sealing. This cell is achieved by addition of an inorganic oxide fine powder which is not an active material and is accommodated together with electric energy generating elements within the casing made from a laminated material composed of a metal foil and a resin film.
A polypropylene layer is disposed inside the casing and is bonded on the inner surface of the metal foil through a carboxylic acid-denatured polypropylene layer.

Abstract: A vehicular transmission comprises an engine E, a continuously variable transmission CVT and a starting clutch 5. The driving force from the engine E is conveyed through the continuously variable transmission CVT with a speed change to a countershaft 2, and the starting clutch 5 is used to convey this driving force from the countershaft 2 to wheels of a vehicle. The continuously variable transmission CVT is hydraulically controlled by a control valve CV which receives control signals through a line 35 from an electrical control unit ECU. When the temperature of the oil used for engaging and disengaging the starting clutch 5 is equal to or higher than a predetermined temperature, the transmission allows the engine E to stop operating. This control to terminate the operation of the engine is an idling elimination control and is achieved by terminating the fuel supply to the engine and by maintaining the resulting condition of non-fuel supply while the vehicle is being decelerated and brought into a halt.
Abstract: A liquid filling apparatus comprises an apparatus body having a liquid channel connected at one end thereof to a liquid tank and at the other end thereof to a filling nozzle, a metering cylinder provided in the liquid channel between opposite ends thereof in communication with the ends for causing the liquid to be filled to flow into and out of the liquid channel by strokes of a piston housed in the cylinder, a check valve disposed upstream from the metering cylinder of the liquid channel, and valve opening-closing means for mechanically operating the check valve so as to open the valve during the inflow stroke of the piston and to close the valve during the outflow stroke of the piston.
Abstract: A seat-occupant restraining apparatus is provided which includes a bag, accommodated in a shoulder belt, for restraining a seat occupant in a seat, and when a vehicle collides, expands the bag with a high-pressure gas produced by an inflator. A relief valve, which opens according to an increase in the internal pressure of the bag, is provided in a gas passage for supplying the high-pressure gas from the inflator to the bag. If the bag is completely expanded by the high-pressure gas from the inflator and the internal pressure of the bag reaches an appropriate value, the relief valve opens and discharges an extra high-pressure gas from the bag, whereby the internal pressure of the bag can be controlled to the appropriate value without causing variations. According to the above-described constriction, it is possible to realize a stable air vent function superior to that of a vent hole, without providing a vent hole in the bag of an air belt assembly.
Abstract: A travel assisting hydraulic circuit for a hydraulic drive type working vehicle with enhanced general versatility, in which the traveling assisting circuit during travel at a high speed can be configured to be a simple circuit. For this purpose, in a hydraulic drive type working vehicle including a traveling HST circuit having a traveling pump driven by the power of an engine, and a traveling motor driven by the pressurized oil from the traveling pump, in which the output torque of the traveling motor is transmitted to a drive wheel via a speed reducer, the traveling assisting hydraulic circuit includes an assisting pump driven by the power of the engine, and an assisting motor for outputting the torque generated by being driven by the pressurized oil from the assisting pump to the speed reducer to add the torque to the output torque of the traveling motor.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for preparing metal powder by means of blowing a cooling liquid toward a flowing down melt metal flow characterized that the cooling liquid is successively discharged downwardly from an annular nozzle toward the melt metal flow for surrounding it in the form of a hyperboloid of one sheet, wherein the annular nozzle is provided with a hole through which the melt metal flow may pass, and that the hyperboloid of one sheet has a pressure reduced by 50˜750 mmHg at the neighborhood of the constricted part inside the hyperboloid of one sheet. According to the present invention, there may be prepared fine and sherical metal powder which has a narrow range of a particle size distribution.
Abstract: Apparatus for the rolling and heat treatment of elongated metal product of relatively small cross section, such as rods and bars, is described in which the elements required for the conduct of a variety of heat treatments are arranged in in-line disposition whereby any of several heat treatment procedures can be performed on the product without need for transferring the product to remotely located heat treatment facilities. The methods of performing various heat treatments through use of the disclosed apparatus are also described.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for bonding together two disc substrates, at least one disc substrate having a UV transmissive-visible light reflective information recording layer provided on a UV transmission base. In this method, the disc substrates are bonded together, so that the information recording layer of one disc substrate faces the other disc substrate, by employing UV irradiation to cure a UV curable composition used as a bonding agent. In the case of the present invention, to cure the bonding agent, UV is irradiated in a single or repeating flash so as not to impair the information recording layer. As a result, the bonding agent can be cured in a shorter period of time with less energy consumed as compared to the conventional method of using conditions irradiation of UV light to cure a UV curable composition used as a bonding agent. Abstract: A reflow soldering apparatus for soldering a first component mounted on a substrate with a first solder having a first melting point and soldering a second component mounted on the substrate with a second solder having a second melting point higher than the first melting point. The reflow soldering apparatus includes a heat source for substantially uniformly heating the substrate, a capsule for enclosing the second component, and a vacuum pump for decreasing the pressure in the capsule. The melting point of the second solder can be lowered by operating the vacuum pump to decrease the pressure in the capsule by a given amount, so that the first component and the second component can be reflow-soldered at substantially the same temperature.
Abstract: A fixing structure for optical connectors consists of a circuit board, a receptacle having a conductive housing shieldingly connected to the circuit board, the housing having an integral fixing portion with a prepared hole formed therein, and a screw passed through the circuit board and screwed in the prepared hole to fix the housing to the circuit board. The fixing portion has a sealing wall closing the prepared hole at a distal end thereof and an enclosed shaving receiver formed in the prepared hole, between the sealing wall and the screw. A short circuit is prevented which is caused by shavings produced when the screw is screwed in the prepared hole.
Abstract: An electrophotographic printer includes a photosensitive drum, a developing unit, an image transfer unit, and pre-transfer discharges arranged between the developing unit and the image transfer unit. The pre-transfer discharging means is arranged to progressively reduce the absolute value of the electric potential of a given point in the surface of the photosensitive drum. The reduction of the electric potential is performed in a non-abrupt manner through two or more steps as the given point is moved from the developing unit to the image transfer unit.
