Abstract: Wheel suspension for road vehicles, in particular non-power-driven semi-rigid axles for private cars and light commercial vehicles having a crossmember defining an axle, axle carrier or swinging axle link and trailing arms attached at both ends of the crossmember, whereby the trailing arm features an arrangement for attachment to the vehicle and for mounting the wheel. The trailing arms are extruded single or multi-chamber hollow sections, made for example of aluminum or one of its alloys. The trailing arms feature a projection facing the middle of the vehicle. The projections on the trailing arm form a channel-shaped section along with the wall strip of the trailing arm. Attachment structure for attaching the elements for wheel suspension and for the crossmember of the axle or axle carrier or swinging axle link may be mounted on this channel-shaped section.
Abstract: A temperature sensor 51 is provided in the bill validator according to the present invention to produce a detection signal when a temperature in the case 11 is lowered below a predetermined level. Upon occurrence of the detection signal of the temperature sensor 51, a first timer starts counting a confirmative period of time. When the first timer counts up the confirmative period of time, a second timer produces a drive signal to activate the conveyer motor 38 for a predetermined warming-up period of time. As the conveyer motor 38 is rotated for warming-up, the belt 23 runs in the case 11 to revive its flexibility and generate heat due to dynamic friction of the mechanic parts including the conveyer motor 38, pulleys 21, 22 and belt 23 during rotation of the conveyer motor 38.

A locking handle is pivotally mounted on the arm and is arranged to move the arm between a closed position in which the wheels are engageable with a bar or rail and an open position in which the wheels are clear of the bar or rail. A bolt or screw is secured to the arm and is adapted for attachment to the clamp of a lantern.

Abstract: There is provided a heat pump system including two (4, 6), at least similar units in fluid communication with each other, each unit having a housing (8, 8'), a first air/brine heat exchanger (12, 12'), a second brine/refrigerant heat exchanger (24, 24'), a brine inlet (10, 10') for applying brine onto at least one of the heat exchangers, a brine reservoir (14, 14') and a pump (28) for circulating the brine from the reservoir to the inlet. The first and second heat exchangers are in closed loop fluid communication with each other and have a compressor (44) for circulating a refrigerant therethrough in selected directions.
Abstract: An adsorption/desorption process for selectively removing nitriles from a hydrocarbon feedstock includes the steps of: (a) providing a hydrocarbon feedstock having a nitrile content of less than or equal to about 400 ppm; (b) providing an adsorbent for selective removal of nitrile from a hydrocarbon feedstock comprising a substantially homogeneous mixture of a cationic nonacidic zeolite and an inorganic oxide matrix, the zeolite having an accessibility index of between about 0.1 to about 0.4; (c) contacting the feedstock and the adsorbent at nitrile adsorption conditions whereby at least about 80% of the nitrile content is adsorbed by the adsorbent during contact with at least about 200 volumes of the feedstock per volume of the adsorbent so as to provide a used adsorbent having nitrile molecules adsorbed thereon; and (d) contacting the used adsorbent with a desorbent at desorption conditions so as to remove the nitrile molecules and provide a renewed adsorbent.

Abstract: In an apparatus for the volumetric metering of fluid, pasty and/or powdery substances, in particular for separating small amounts of substance from a delivery flow, by means of an adjustable-volume measurement chamber which is connected to a feed conduit and which is provided with an outlet, a capillary measurement conduit (22) is connected as the measurement chamber to a vacuum conduit (33). In particular cases the measurement conduit can be acted upon by conveyor air, but in the normal case it is provided with a metering needle which is displaceable therein and whose free needle end (19) delimits the measurement chamber at one end. In addition a movable sealing body (56) is to be associated as a closure element with the mouth opening (23) of the measurement conduit (22), that serves as the outlet, which sealing body can be connected to a closure device (50) which is limitedly rotatable about a pivot means (52).

Abstract: A method for the automatic locking of the differentials of an all-wheel driven vehicle, slip signals being formed which, as soon as they exceed a threshold value, initiate the driving of the respective differentials. In order to take into account the influence of the steering rolling radius, the change in the steering value is ascertained. From this, using a function determined by the geometry of the vehicle, an apparent slip is ascertained. From the respective apparent slip, corrected threshold values are determined and measured slip signals are compared with the corrected threshold values and, if necessary, the driving of the respective differential is initiated. The method can also be used on a vehicle having articulated-vehicle steering.
