In accordance with the present invention, an array of flow directing elements comprises a plurality of flow directing elements mounted to a rotor disk. The plurality of flow directing elements includes a first set of first flow directing elements whose natural vibration frequency has been modified by having material removed from a leading edge tip region and a second set of second flow directing elements whose natural vibration frequency has been modified by having material removed from a midspan leading edge region.     Abstract: The present invention relates to a process for inspecting a part to detect defects in the part. The process comprises the steps of placing a part to be inspected in an immersion tank, introducing a mixture of a penetrant dye and a supercritical carbon dioxide solvent into the immersion tank, maintaining the part immersed in the mixture for a time sufficient for the penetrant dye to penetrate any defects in the part, removing the part from the immersion tank, and inspecting the part for the presence of any defects. A system for carrying out the process is also described.

The system comprises a stripping tank containing an electrolyte bath stripping solution for removing a coating from at least one workpiece immersed in the stripping solution while a controlled absolute electrical potential is maintained on the at least one workpiece with respect to a reference electrode also immersed in the stripping solution, a rinse tank for rinsing the workpiece(s) after removal of the workpiece(s) from the stripping tank, and a distillation unit for receiving electrolyte containing dissolved metals from the stripping tank, for purifying the electrolyte received from the stripping tank, and for returning the purified electrolyte to the stripping tank. In a preferred embodiment, the stripping tank, the rinse tank, and the distillation unit are mounted to a skid. The system further includes a control module.

The signals transmitted from a base transmission station (BTS) to the mobile station as well as a call build-up signal sent at certain intervals, are stored with the GPS position. Furthermore, signals between the base transmission station and the respective mobile station, which signals are sent at specified intervals, are recorded with time stamps by means of a mobile radio analysis device (MA). Subsequently there is a mixing together of the recorded data of the mobile station with the recorded data of the mobile radio analysis device, sorted according to time stamp, with the measured results issued by geographic position and by time.

This enables the filling pressure to be increased or reduced on the basis of the weight of a lying person loading the cushion elements until a predetermined value corresponding to a specific degree of hardness or comfort for lying is attained. Simple pressure on a key on a remote control is therefore sufficient to bring about completely automatic adaptation to the lying person, regardless of whether he or she weighs 40 or 150 kg. This intelligent mattress offers an absolute maximum of individual comfort for lying with a minimum of effort for operation.

    Abstract: A nuclear fuel spacer grid, fabricated by intersecting a plurality of zircaloy or inconel grid strips and used for placing and supporting a plurality of elongated fuel rods within a nuclear fuel assembly, is disclosed. In the spacer grid of this invention, each of the grid strips is not cut away to form separate springs or dimples for supporting the fuel rods, but has an axial slot extending from one end of each strip to a length. The grid strips are intersected at the slots prior to being welded together into a single grid structure at a welding tap formed at an outside end or a middle portion of each of the slots. Each of the grid strips also has a dipper-shaped coolant mixing vane, or a dipper vane, at each of the upper and lower ends thereof. The spacer grid thus maximizes the thermal hydraulic coolant mixing effect within a fuel assembly and stably supports the fuel rods within the assembly while improving the mechanical/structural strength of the assembly, such as a buckling strength.
