    Abstract: Methods of access point control of client roaming are disclosed. The methods can include the access point periodically transmitting requests to a client, the access point monitoring reception of response to the requests, and the access point transmitting at least one disassociation frame if a response is not received by the access point from the client. An embodiment includes the disassociation frame being suppressed if the access point receives an association response from another access point that is intended for the client. Another embodiment includes the access point transmitting a disassociation frame if a response is received from the client, and a signal quality parameter of the response is below a threshold.

    Abstract: A method and apparatus of calibrating filtering of receive and transmit signals is disclosed. The method of calibrating filtering of a received signal includes injecting an LO signal. The injected LO signal is filtered by a tunable filter. The filtered signal is frequency down-converted with an equivalent LO signal. The frequency down-converted signal is sampled while tuning the filtering. A desired filter tuning is determined based upon the samples and a frequency of the LO signal. The method of calibrating filtering of a transmit signal includes injecting an LO signal to a transmitter. The LO signal is filtered by a tunable filter. The filtered signal is frequency down-converted with an equivalent LO signal. The frequency down-converted signal is sampled while tuning the filter. A desired filter tuning is determined based upon the samples and a frequency of the LO signal.

An apparatus for controlling an adjustable gain of an amplifier is also disclosed. The apparatus includes a control loop for setting the adjustable gain. The control loop includes an adjustable gain replica amplifier. A switch receives an output of the replica amplifier and a precision reference. An error amplifier receives outputs from the switch and generates a control voltage. The control voltage controls an adjustable gain of the replica amplifier and the adjustable gain of the amplifier.

The transceiver additionally includes a plurality of subtraction circuits. Each subtraction circuit receives an output of at least one of the sample and hold circuits. Each subtraction circuit subtracts at least a fraction of a replica signal from at least a fraction of the output of the at least one of the sample and hold circuits. The subtraction circuits generate an output that represent the far-end signal with substantially reduced echo and/or cross-talk interference, and is available for additional receiver processing.

One embodiment of a method of sampling a signal includes receiving an analog signal and generating first samples at a rate of Fs, and generating second sub-samples from the first samples at a rate of Fs/N and having a relative phase of approximately (360/N)*(i?1) degrees, where i varies from 1 to N. In a first embodiment, at most two second sub-samplers are tracking the output of the first sampler at any point in time. In a second embodiment, only one of the N second sub-samplers are tracking the output of the first sampler at any point in time. A third embodiment further includes generating third samples from the second samples at a rate of Fs/N, and having a relative phase of approximately ((360/N)*(i?1)+180) degrees. A method of interleaved analog to digital converting includes corresponding time interleaved ADCs receiving the third samples.
