Abstract: A device comprising: a holding fixture (23) for a carrier device (5) of a stamp pad (40, in particular for a stamp (1) with a pivotable printing plate carrier (8), in which a shaft (20) with an approximately rectangular cross section is arranged. The carrier device (5) for the stamp pad (4) is mounted therein, and if necessary can be pushed out relative to the shaft (20). A holding device (31) positions the carrier device (5) relative to the guide track of the shaft (20) in its position of work or use (33). A further holding device (32) enables the carrier device (5) together with the stamp pad (4) to be positioned in a replacement or maintenance position (34) remote from the position of work or use (33), and to be restrictable relative to the shaft (20) on how far it can be pushed out. The further holding device (32) can, if necessary, be deactivated by applying increased displacement forces on the carrier device (5).

Abstract: An extrusion die for injecting plasticizable elastomers into a cavity of an injection-molding die, wherein the extrusion die is mounted on a cold-channel block which, for distribution of the material plasticized in a plasticization aggregate, is arranged between the aggregate and the injection-molding die. The extrusion die opening can be closed off with a needle that forms the extrusion-die-opening end of an insert that can be displaced in the extrusion die body and has a material transport channel. An external drive is provided for the displacement movement.
Abstract: In a connector for electrically connecting a mating object, a cover 12 is used for pressing the mating object against a contact 16 held by a housing 11. The cover is held on the housing 11 to be rotatable in a first direction and to be movable in a second direction intersecting the first direction. The cover is kept in a connected state by locking portions 14 and 21 which are engaged with each other in a direction opposite to the first direction and in the second direction. Upon disconnection of the mating object, the cover is rotated in the first direction to release the engagement of the locking portions and is moved in the second direction, thereby allowing the mating object to be disconnected.

Abstract: A method for measuring the plasticity of materials such as ceramic raw materials and masses. A weight acts on a sample body and a path signal that reproduces the deformation of the sample body is measured. During the deformation process, the time progression of a reaction force applied by the sample body is measured. Path and force measurement values are passed to a computer for processing and evaluation. Devices for measuring the plasticity of a material according to the method are also disclosed.
Abstract: A cooled valve seat ring for a cylinder head of an internal combustion engine, having a valve seat part, wherein the cooled valve seat ring comprises a sheet-metal cooling channel consisting of a thin sheet of steel and which is connected with a coolant circuit via bores which serve as inflow and outflow for a coolant, wherein the cooled valve seat ring is connected with the cylinder head material by casting technology. In one embodiment, there can be a cooled valve seat ring that is connected with a cylinder head material via a laminate casting process. There can also be a cooled valve seat ring that has an alfin layer for a connection with the cylinder head material. In addition, the cooling channel can be welded onto or soldered onto the valve seat part. Furthermore, the sheet-metal cooling channel can be connected with the valve seat part so as to form a gas-tight seal.
Abstract: Methods are specified for producing passive components on a substrate, which methods permit, with a low outlay and a good yield, the production of different components, in particular high-resistance and low-resistance resistor elements and/or capacitor elements having a higher and those having a lower capacitance per unit length on a substrate. In this case, lift-off processes can largely be dispensed with, particularly in the case of critical patternings, and selective dry- and/or wet-chemical etching can be effected.
Abstract: A method and a device for conditioning electric installations in buildings for the rapid transmission of data produces symmetrical transmissions paths, along which high frequency signals can be transmitted with substantially no interference, using low-level emission. By introducing an inductance coil into the neutral conductor, as closely as possible to the earth point of the building, the conductor becomes insulated for high frequencies whereas the remaining conductors constitute the high-frequency earth. The high-frequency communication signals are transmitted between the neutral conductor and the protective conductor. This produces transmission channels with relatively good symmetry and negligible interference, which permit a significantly improved exploitation of resources.

Abstract: An apparatus is described for fastening a constructional element (1) to a spectacle lens (2) with a butt end (8) of a constructional element (1) which overlaps the lens edge, with two parallel fastening pins (4) which project from the butt end (8) and form annular enlargements (5) which are barb-like in their cross section, and with plastic sleeves (6) which can be inserted into bores in the spectacle lens (2) and form a head overlapping the edge of the bore and in which the fastening pins (4) engage in an interlocking way under deformation of the sleeve wall from the side of the bore opposite of the heads.
Abstract: The invention relates to a water-based biodegradable and non-toxic functional fluid for mechanical drives, preferably for use in steam engines. The object of providing such functional fluids for use in mechanical drives, particularly for the hydrodynamic lubrication of plain bearings, preferably for crankshafts of superheated steam engines, having customary bearing play which is not overly precise, is achieved. It should be capable of being used in closed power plant systems also at sump temperatures higher than 120° C., e.g. in the crankcase under a crank shaft, and should be water-based or water-dilutable. According to the invention, this is achieved by addition of a low percentage of polyaspartic acid to water or to water/glycol mixtures, preferably polyaspartic acid having a molar mass of from greater than 1 000 to 10 000 g/mol being used.
Abstract: The invention relates to a transmission sensor (1) for measuring the turbidity of a fluid, comprising a first and a second measuring section (2, 3). A transmitter (6) emits electromagnetic radiation into the two measuring sections (2, 3). A first receiver (14) is allocated to the first measuring section (2) and a second receiver (15) is allocated to the second measuring section (3). The transmitter (6) is inserted into a transmitter carrier (8) in such a way that the transmitter (6) is forced to adopt a predetermined oriented position. The receivers (14, 15) are inserted into a receiver carrier (18) in such a way that each of said receivers (14, 15) is forced to adopt a predetermined oriented position. A transmitter carrier holder (9) forcibly positions the transmitter carrier (8) in a predetermined location and a receiver carrier holder (19) forcibly positions the receiver carrier (18) in a predetermined location.
Abstract: A segmental earth retaining wall block having a front side, a top side with a transversal tongue of a given width projecting from it, the tongue extending at a first distance from the front side, and a bottom side with a transversal groove made in it, the groove being sized to receive the tongue of another similar block positioned below and thus to allow stacking of the blocks. The groove extends at a second distance from the front side that is smaller than the first distance, and the first and second distances are selected so that the tongue and the groove are offset with respect to each other over a distance that is smaller than the width of the tongue.
Abstract: A method and device for automatic timing of mass sporting events is described. Participants of the mass event each wear a transponder with an individual code, which is read after the finish and is associated with a recorded time. Upon finishing, an internal timer of the transponder is activated and its transponder time is evaluated with the determination of a finish time from the recorded time as the adjustment amount.

Abstract: A central buffer coupling for coupling a first rail car body with a second, adjacent rail car body of a multiple-unit rail vehicle, has a coupling head pivotally connected by a coupling shaft to a linking housing of the rail car body, and a pivoting unit pivoting the coupling shaft. The pivoting unit has a guide participating in horizontal pivoting of the shaft that runs about a vertical pivot axis. Pressure surfaces symmetrical to the longitudinal axis of the shaft which correspond to a respective pressure device, bring about horizontal re-centering of the shaft. The respective pressure devices are supported on the linking housing of the shaft to bias the related pressure surfaces against the guide. The guide is positionable with the action-linked coupling shaft in every position of the planned pivot region, via an activation device.
