  • Patent number: 7078110
Abstract: A slide bearing is described with a bearing metal layer on copper basis as applied to a carrier and a running layer made of an alloy of aluminum and tin which is applied physically onto the bearing metal layer in vacuum. In order to combine favorable resistance against wearing with a low inclination towards jamming with advantageous tribological properties it is proposed that the bearing metal layer consists of an alloy with 4 to 8% by weight of tin, 0.6 to 1% by weight of silver, 1 to 2% by weight of an iron phosphide and 0 to 0.15% by weight of carbon, preferably in the form of graphite, and the remainder of copper.

  • Patent number: 7077924
Abstract: A method for producing tapes in pairs for the manufacture of closing tapes for baby diapers. The tapes are formed mirror-symmetrically and secured on the baby diapers in pairs. The method comprises the following steps: a web of material is separated in four strips, whereby two strips are processed as plane support tapes. The two other strips are guided via reversing stations over the support tapes and folded to form release tapes that each comprise a short leg and a long leg. Closing tapes that comprise male or female closing elements for a mechanical self-closure, are laminated to the support tapes in the direction of transport of these support tapes. The release tapes are applied to the support tapes in the direction of transport, whereby the short leg is glued to the support tape, and the long leg at least partly covers the closing tape that has been applied to the support tape. There is also a device for producing the tapes using the method described above.

  • Patent number: 7075095
Abstract: A multistage plasma accelerator system includes at least one intermediate electrode between the plasma chamber between electrodes that include each other. An especially good efficiency can be achieved by way of an uneven distribution of potential to the potential stages formed by the plurality of electrodes having a high potential gradient of the last stage, when the plasma beam emerges, and by a special shape of the magnetic field prevailing in the plasma chamber of the last stage.

  • Patent number: 7073809
Abstract: A snowboard binding comprises base plate with an extension in the peripheral regions on either side of its longitudinal axis, and a U-shaped support element, each extension retaining a respective leg of the support element, which supports a back support pivotably disposed in the region of the support element base and/or which is a stop restriction for a back support mounted on the extensions of the base plate. A pivot bearing mounts the support element so as to be pivotable in a limited pivot path about a pivot axis extending transversely to the longitudinal axis and parallel to the base plate. The binding comprises an adjusting and locking mechanism for fixing the support element in a desired angular position relative to the base plate, and/or an elastically resilient damping mechanism for rebounding the support element into a pre-defined angular position relative to the base plate.

  • Patent number: 7073482
Abstract: A four-stroke internal combustion engine is described, with at least one cylinder(9), a crankcase (3) which forms a crankcase pump and is connected via a valve (15, 18) each to an air manifold (16) for fresh air on the one hand and to an intake manifold (17) connecting the crankcase (3) with an intake port (11) of the cylinder (9) on the other hand, and with a reservoir (25) for lubricating oil arranged on a conveying device (26) for lubricating oil, with an oil circulation comprising the crankcase (3) as well as an oil separator (19) provided in the intake manifold (17) and with a device (23) for injecting fuel into the intake manifold (17) or into the combustion chamber (29) of the cylinder (9). In order to provide advantageous constructional conditions it is proposed that the conveying device (26) connected to the reservoir (25) comprises a duct (27) for injecting lubricating oil into the crankcase (3) and that the intake manifold leads to the oil separator (19) by circumventing the reservoir (25).

  • Patent number: 7072505
Abstract: A method of defining deviations from a desired position of pixel sites in an image recording matrix by defining the 3-D data of a planar or slightly curved surface. To the extent necessary the results are smoothed, and the measuring points, utilizing the 3-D data, are projected back the sensors of the image recording matrix for determining the difference between the two points projected onto the sensors and associated with a 3-D measuring point. After selectively shifting the surface relative to the 3-D measuring system, prior method steps are repeated until the desired accuracy in the definition of the deviation has been has been attained.

  • Patent number: 7070424
Abstract: In a connector, a contact group has a signal contact and a ground contact, and the signal contact is arranged adjacently to both sides of the ground contact. Each of the signal contact and the ground contact has a contact portion connected to a partner side contact and also has a terminal portion connected to a connecting object. The pitch intervals between the terminal portions of the respective contacts of the contact group are equally set. The contact portion of the signal contact approaches the contact portion of the ground contact. Thus, the pitch interval between the contact portions of the adjacent signal contacts is widened with respect to the pitch interval between the terminal portions.

  • Patent number: 7069881
Abstract: The invention relates to a cooled ring carrier that is cast into a piston for internal combustion engines. According to the invention, the zone of the ring carrier facing the cooling channel is coated, thereby preventing air from escaping from the cooling channel through the ring carrier material to the melt during alfination of the cooled ring carrier, and forming oxides.

  • Patent number: 7069889
Abstract: Disclosed is a camshaft, especially for an internal combustion engine of a motor vehicle, comprising at least one cam that is provided with cam segments (2, 3), which can be displaced relative to each other. The aim of invention is to create a compact camshaft structure while obtaining or ensuring good and stable guidance between the cam segments (2, 3) that can be displaced relative to each other. Said aim is achieved by placing the ends of the U-legs of the second cam segment (3), which has the shape of a horseshoe and is movable while the other cam segment (2) is connected in a fixed manner to the camshaft, entirely within the outer contour of the basic camshaft material located between the U-legs in the radially deployed position of the second cam segment (3), said U-legs resulting from the horseshoe shape of said cam segment (3) and extending in a free manner at the ends thereof.
