Abstract: This fabricating system provides flux material coating in a continuous manner for a continuous welding electrode as well as for welding electrodes of various selected lengths. The system consists of a driving mechanism for supplying a continuous metal core to a pressure coating station. A straightening device is located between the initial driving mechanism and the coating station to ensure the metal core is in a perfectly straight form when entering the coating station. Multiple pressurized flux coating material bins are coupled to the coating station. The bins are automatically controlled such that when one bin has been depleted, a second bin will be coupled to the coating station immediately to continue the supply of coating flux material continuously to the coating station while the depleted bin is being replenished and pressurized for operation when the second bin becomes depleted.
Abstract: This board game apparatus is adapted for two to four players to play a variety of strategy challenging and luck demanding games. It includes an eight-sided game board having a checkered grid of horizontal rows and vertical columns of squares provided on its playing surface, and two types of plurality of six sided cubic playing pieces positioned on the board. One type of the playing pieces has a first symbol provided on at least one of its six sides to represent a blocking function. The remaining playing pieces have six symbols identifying their six sides. Each different one of these symbols is provided on a different side of their six sides to represent six different functions of these playing pieces. When the playing piece is positioned on the game board with a selected symbol located on the top side, it assumes that particular function.
Abstract: A skill challenging puzzle game shaped like an space station comprises of three spherical members rotatably mounted on a circular disc-shaped main body. Each spherical member is rotatably mounted on a horizontal axis located at the periphery of the main body and consists of eight equal size sectors. The disc-shaped main body consists of an inverted upper saucer and a lower saucer mounted together and rotatable horizontally relative to each other about a central axis such that the upper portion of the spherical members may be scrambled from or matched with selected lower portion of the spherical members. The matched spherical members may be additionally rotatable relative to their horizontal axes to obtain various challenging combinations of colours or patterns provided on the spherical members.
Abstract: The elongated welding electrode is for plasma arc welding. It has a welding flux material coated on an elongated metal core. Gaps are formed in the flux coating and located at even intervals along the entire length of the electrode. The ratio of the melting points of the flux coating material and the metal core is in the range of 0.9 to 1.05. The ratio of the weights of the flux coating material and the metal core is in the range of 1.1 to 2.5. The electrode may be used with a simple welding gun and a large welding current to produce the plasma effect for welding without having to use an additional supply of gas for shielding the molten weld metal and for cooling the slag.
Abstract: Coaxially sheathed single core conductors are employed in this power distribution system. A current of equal magnitude and opposite in direction to that flowing in each core conductor is fed back through the coaxial sheath of that conductor so as to create a neutralizing magnetic field generated by the current flowing through each core conductor to result in substantially no magnetic field emitting from the distribution lines. It also reduces line reactance to provide more even current distribution of the current amongst the parallel conductors.
Abstract: A linear drive is provided within this welding device for out a welding operation with an elongated welding electrode. The device advances the electrode towards the welding area as well as for providing the welding current with high efficiency to the welding electrode for the welding operation. The linear drive is provided by a plurality of current conducting elements circulated between two parallel tracks. The elements directly engage with a drive gear mechanism provided within the device, and they also have contact fingers engage with the metal core of the electrode exposed in a plurality of slots formed in the welding flux coating provided on the electrode.
Abstract: The elongated welding electrode has a flexible welding flux material coated on the outside surface of a flexible welding metal core. The flux material is provided in short equal length segments with slots formed between adjacent segments to expose the metal core therein. The welding current can be applied to the weld through the core in a plurality of the exposed slots so that a large current with relatively no current loss can be used in the welding operation. The slots also serve as means to facilitate the automatic advancement of the electrode through the welding equipment. The welding flux coating over the metal core of the electrode is covered with flexible protective coatings so that it is extremely flexible such that the flux coating will not break off from the metal core during winding on and unwinding from the carrier reel.
Abstract: This anti-pollution system for an incinerator has a heat recovery base unit which utilizes the heat from the exhaust gas from the incinerator to produce the steam for scrubbing the pollutants from the exhaust gas of the incinerator. The system also has a selected number of scrubber units mounted on top of the heat recovery base unit, in which the polluted exhaust gas is further subjected to scrubbing by fine sprays of a mixture of water and air in a tortuous path to eliminate all the pollutants. Each scrubber unit has provision to monitor the condition of the exhaust gas to ascertain the elimination of all pollutants before the exhaust gas is released into the atmosphere.
Abstract: This clearance indicating device has a pivotal rod for contacting an automobile when the latter is driven close to a wall surface. The pivotal rod causes a sliding rod to slide upwards from a support frame. The closer the automobile is positioned to the wall surface the higher the sliding rod will extend upwards from the support frame. Two pivotally mounted cantilever arms are mounted on the support frame. The arms are connected to two ends of a sliding cord coupled to the sliding rod such that the arms will swing upwards in various degrees to indicate the closeness of the automobile to the vertical wall surface.
Abstract: This continuous welding apparatus has a high welding current efficiency. It includes a single drive belt mechanism having adjustable variable speeds for continuously advancing an elongated welding electrode to a welding location. The welding current is applied simultaneously through multiple contact points in the electrode by contact brushes to provide a high current for the welding operation. The brushes also serves as the carriers for advancing the welding electrode. A continuously formed weld can be made with such high efficiency welding device, and the resulting integrally formed weld is strong in strength and has a smooth surface appearance.
Abstract: The portable collection bag carrier has two tubular support posts removably mounted on a base board. A T-shaped bracket is mounted on each post. A vertical slot is formed at each end of the horizontal bar member of the T-shaped bracket. A slider member is slidably mounted on the vertical leg member of the T-shaped bracket, and a loop-shaped cable is mounted on the slider member. A collection bag may be removably mounted on the carrier by folding the top rim of the bag to wrap over the horizontal bar member of the T-shaped brackets, and placing the loop-shaped cable over the folded top rim of the bag to engage with the vertical slots. The cable is then tightened by sliding the slider member downwards to secure the bag in place. The base is also provided with a set of wheels and a tow rope to facilitate the carrier from being moved with ease around the work area for filling the bag.
Abstract: The elongated welding electrode made with this continuous manufacturing method is suitable for use in a continuous welding operation and it has a high conduction characteristic for the welding current. In the sequential process, an elongated welding metal wire core is continuously passed through a coating station in which a wet welding flux material is coated onto its surface. The coated wire is then passed through a pre-drying station for removing most of the moisture content from the flux material coating. The mostly dried coated wire is advanced to an abrasion station in which transverse slots are formed at evenly spaced distance along its length to form the interim welding electrode having the flux material coating in equal length segments. The wire core is exposed in the slots between the segments. A selected length of the interim electrode is then wound on a dispensing reel.

Abstract: This belt has a generally flexible portion in which several compressible wells are formed. The flexible portion is located over the back of the person wearing it around the chest. A plurality of upstanding substantially resilient semi-rigid stems are provided in the wells. The stems have a height slightly lower than the depth of the wells. When the person sleeps on the back, the weight of the body would compress the wells such that the semi-rigid stems will protrude outside of the wells to cause irritation to the back of the wearer so that the person would subconsciously turn to sleep on the side or stomach thus detering snoring to occur.
Abstract: A light screening device is provided with a clamping arrangement for attaching firmly and securely to the sun visor of an automotive vehicle. The clamp comprises two substantially T-shaped members slidably mounted to each other and includes a latching arrangement between the T-shaped members for locking the clamp in a selected size opening for attaching to sun visors of various sizes. The transparent light screen is slidably mounted to a bracket which is hingedly mounted to the clamp through a slider so that the light screen can be pivoted to a storage position juxtaposed to the sun visor or to a selected operative position below the sun visor. The light screen may also slide sideways relative to the sun visor to provide light screening in selected lateral positions.
Abstract: The pressure balanced torsion system is for use in a backrest and the like. The system has a plurality of torsion action assemblies. Each assembly consists of a pair of pressure bearing plates mounted at the free ends of a torsion spring. The torsion spring is pivotally mounted to a rigid support plate which forms the back plate of the backrest. When a body rests against the backrest, the counter reactive force generated by the assembly causes both pressure bearing plates to push back against the body until the torsion is balanced, thus providing a uniform support to the body.
Abstract: A disposable dental curing light guide which can be made of a low cost polymer. The light guide can be radioactively sterilized and packed in a sterilized dispensing envelope to maintain it in a sterilized and clean state. The light guide can provide satisfactory transmission of light between 400 nm and 500 nm for dental curing purposes.
Abstract: The linear roller bearing device provides full support and smooth sliding arrangement between the bearing body and the support rail. Four continuous channels are formed in the bearing body to house a plurality of rollers having identical configuration and dimensions. The rollers have a smooth cylindrical body and conical ends. At least two removable side covers are provided in the bearing body to facilitate access to the rollers for maintenance and replacement purposes. The rollers can be inserted into the continuous channels which are covered with removable end covers.
Abstract: This electrical system is for use in a portable hand-held battery operated light curing device. The system includes a microprocessor which is activated by the battery to provide a series of square wave signals to the light curing lamp such that the light output of the light curing lamp is constant over a selected period of time. The system also provides a fast charging circuit for recharging the battery over a relatively short period of time.
