Abstract: In a method of producing a high-strength cold-rolled steel sheet excelling in deep drawability, a steel material is used which consists of: a basic composition including 0.01% or less of C, 0.1 to 2.0% of Si, 0.5 to 3.0% of Mn, 0.02 to 0.2% of P, 0.05% or less of S, 0.03 to 0.2% of Al, 0.01% or less of N, 0.001 to 0.2% of Nb, and 0.0001 to 0.008% of B in such a way that the respective contents of C, Nb, Al, N, Si, Mn and P satisfy the following formulae:5.ltoreq.Nb/C.ltoreq.30, 10.ltoreq.Al/N.ltoreq.80, and 16.ltoreq.(3.times.Si/28+200 .times.P/31)/(Mn/55).ltoreq.40; Fe remnant; and inevitable impurities, the method including the steps of:performing rolling on the steel material with a total reduction of 50% or more and 95% or less while effecting lubrication thereon in a temperature range of not higher than the Ar.sub.3 transformation temperature and not lower than 500.degree. C.
Abstract: A liquid dispenser for a viscous liquid includes a hollow cylinder and a plunger axially slidably accommodated within the cylinder. The plunger has a tapered front section with an outer diameter at its rear end which is slightly smaller than the cylinder inner diameter, a drum-like intermediate section with a reduced outer diameter, and a cylindrical rear section with a maximum outer diameter which is slightly greater than the cylinder inner diameter, wherein these sections are axially aligned with, and connected to each other. The rear section has a plurality of resiliently deformable flap regions defined by, and between a plurality of axial slits in its outer surface.
Abstract: A semifinished product for electric contact made from a composite material based on silver-tin oxide is described as well as a powder-metallurgical process of making said product. The structure of the semifinished products contains regions which contain no metal oxide or very little metal oxide in alternation with regions which contain the entire metal oxide component or a greatly predominating/share thereof in a fine division.

Abstract: The invention relates to a high strength cold rolled steel sheet having excellent non-aging property at room temperature and excellent drawability, said steel sheet having a dual-phase structure composed of a high-temperature transformed ferrite phase and a low-temperature transformed ferrite phase having high dislocation density.The invention also relates a high strength cold rolled steel sheet having excellent non-aging property at room temperature and bake hardenability, as well as excellent drawability. This steel sheet is produced by preparing a hot-rolled steel sheet, cold rolling the hot-rolled steel sheet at a rolling reduction not smaller than 60%, annealing the cold rolled steel sheet at a temperature which is not lower than the .gamma. transformation start temperature but below the A.sub.c3 transformation temperature, and cooling the annealed steel sheet at a rate not smaller than 5.degree. C./sec but not greater than 100.degree. C./sec.
Abstract: A mold powder for use in continuous casting, containing specified amounts of CaO, Al.sub.2 O.sub.3, TiO.sub.2, Li.sub.2 O, BaO, MgO, F and Na.sub.2 O, and further containing at least one of BN and C as aggregate. The mold powder, when used in continuous casting of a steel rich in strong reducing metal elements such as Al, Ti, REM and so forth, remarkably suppresses generation of deterioration in the surface quality of the slab and break out of the slab which are attributable inferior lubrication.
Abstract: A high differential pressure control valve having a plurality of stages of high resistance ports forming a high resistance passage and one or more low resistance ports forming a low resistance passage in a cage. The number of stages of low resistance ports is smaller than that of the high resistance ports so that a fluid at the side of an inlet passage is introduced into the high resistance passage under a low open degree range and into both the low resistance passage and the high resistance passage under a medium and a high open degree ranges.
Abstract: A battery-less electronic cylinder lock comprises an electromagnet or other electrical release mechanism controlled by an electronic circuit. A cooperating key comprises a battery and a code producing circuit. When the key is inserted in the lock, power for the lock is supplied from the battery to the electronic circuit and the electromagnet by means of a transformer coupling arrangement with a primary portion in the key and a secondary portion in the lock. Alternatively, power may be supplied via electrical contacts on the key and on the lock.
Abstract: To fill insulating glass panes with a heavy gas, one of the glass plates (40) of which the insulating glass pane is formed is initially only partly joined to the other glass plate (42) during assembly and to that end is flexed along one edge so that a gap is temporarily left between the glass plate (40) and the spacer (41) and a heavy gas can be introduced through that gap to fill the interior space of the insulating gas pane.
Abstract: The present invention relates to an arrangement for a load hoist comprising a load device supported by a lifting cable and a driver for driving the load device in a horizontal direction. The driver is arranged to be actuated by the movement of the lifting cable in the lateral direction in order to displace a supported load device, together with an associated load, in an appropriate direction. The displacement may be controlled by load personnel who maneuver the load device, causing the load to move in a desired direction. The invention results in simple and efficient actuation of a load hoist.
Abstract: An automatically actuated door arrangement is provided. The arrangement includes a plurality of slidable doors which are opened and closed by an electric motor/cable arrangement. Open and close switches control the opening and closing of the doors. A sensor device provides the open doors/close doors signals to the controller, and eventually to the motor. The motor is connected to the cable drive by a clutch arrangement which allows slippage should the movement of the doors become obstructed. The door travel path may be arranged in a slight V-shape, to allow for more efficient sealing of the door bottoms. A controller is provided to receive, process, and distribute electronic signals for controlling the extent of the door opening, the speed of opening and closing, and other operating parameters. The controller includes a series of indicators for monitoring the status of the door arrangement, and also includes inputs for altering the operating parameters of the door arrangement.

The detector tube can be used for the detection and measurement of micropressures and micro flow rates.

Abstract: The apparatus comprises a horizontal conveyor (2), which comprises an endless conveying element (5) having supporting surfaces (11, 12 ), on which the insulating glass panes (20) stand. Abstract: A wheel suspension system for a bicycle is provided with a telescopically coupled sliding tube and a fork leg forming a suspension assembly with a shock absorber assembly. The fork leg is provided satisfactorily high rigidity for withstanding torsional torque which is potentially exerted through a brake lever during application of a brake. The fork leg with sufficient rigidity can be formed from a tubular material.
Abstract: A continuously cast slab of Fe-Ni series alloy comprising 30-50 wt % of Ni or further 0.001-0.03 wt % of B and the balance of Fe is controlled to an eqiaxial crystal ratio of 20% or 30% in accordance with the existence or nonexistence of B content in the continuous casting and, if necessary, subjected to an electromagnetic stirring treatment or the like for controlling the eqiaxial crystal ratio and then heated at a temperature of not lower than 950.degree. C., 1000.degree. C. and 1100.degree. C. to economically produce Fe-Ni series alloys having improved effect for restraining streaks during etching.
Abstract: A zinc or zinc-alloy plated steel sheet having an improved weldability and plating properties, as well as a method for making the same is provided. Even when the substrate steel sheet is the one which is difficult to deposit a zinc or zinc-alloy layer by conventional methods, such as an extra low carbon steel sheet, the present invention enable a reliable production of a galvanized steel sheet suffering from no plating failure or insufficient adhesion as well as a reliable production of a galvannealed steel sheet suffering from no plating failure or streaking of the alloyed layer.The zinc or zinc-alloy plated steel sheet having improved weldability comprises an extra low carbon steel sheet, an iron-carbon plated layer or a carbon-rich layer generated by diffusion of the iron-carbon plated layer on at least one major surface of the extra low carbon steel sheet, and a zinc or zinc-alloy plated layer on the iron-carbon plated layer or the carbon-rich layer.
Abstract: In this invention, a back end portion of a preceding sheet bar and a front end of a succeeding sheet bar are cut in a transfer line at an entrance side of a finish rolling mill so that at least both side edge regions of these sheet bars are contacted with each other at a butted contact state thereof and a gap is formed between both end portions and then portions to be joined int he preceding and succeeding sheet bars are locally heated and pushed to join them while gradually enlarging a joining area, whereby the required time is largely reduced as compared with the conventional technique and also it is attempted to miniaturize the heating apparatus and shorten the length of the apparatus.
Abstract: A beam sampler comprises a substrate made of highly transparent fused silica or zinc selenide, both capable of sustaining high power laser beams. The substrate defines an outer surface through which the light beam being sampled propagates. A sinusoidal diffracting relief is etched on this outer surface directly into the light-propagating material of the substrate. When a light beam propagates through the outer surface of the substrate, the three-dimensional diffracting relief extracts from this light beam at least one pair of low power beam samples.
