    Abstract: An improved rpm regulator for a fuel injection pump associated with an internal combustion engine. The regulator includes a control lever, a fuel quantity control sleeve connected to the control lever, a regulating spring assembly connected to the control lever, a device for generating an rpm signal and applying a corresponding force through the control lever to the fuel quantity control sleeve in opposition to a force exerted by the regulating spring assembly and an adjustment lever connected to the regulating spring assembly for adjusting the preload exerted by the regulating spring assembly. The regulating spring assembly is improved and includes two holding members containing two compression springs so that when the two holding members are moved outwardly relative to each other the two springs are compressed. The springs are chosen and the holding members designed so as to minimize the degree of variation which can occur during a control process.

The table is equipped with a single supporting mechanism for effecting the desired different translational movements in the transverse direction and the vertical direction, and its rotation and about axes parallel to its longitudinal axis. The platform is suspended at each of its ends by a mechanism which includes two concentric cranks, each journalled at one of their respective extremities to a pivot integral with a carriage or slide block gliding in a slide fixed transversely at the end of the platform. The transverse position of each of the carriages in the slide is independently controlled by a pinion secured to a hollow shaft rotatably mounted on said pivot and engaging a chain whose two ends are fixedly secured to the opposite extremities of the slide.

The device has a relay valve included in assembly with a motor vehicle operator controlled brake velve, a wheel brake cylinder and a source of pressurized air. The relay valve has a primary and secondary pressure side. The primary pressure side is connected to the brake valve and the secondary side is connected to the wheel brake cylinder. A short circuit connection between the primary and secondary pressure sides is provided with a control for effecting a balancing of the pressures on both the primary and secondary pressure sides after the pressure on both sides has been reduced from a peak value by a desired extent during application of the brake system.

The accumulator piston discharges the liquid to a function jack which utilizes the energy produced by the pneumatic pressure. The pneumatic cylinder is not provided with compressed-air exhaust ports and is freely connected to a compressed-air reservoir at the working pressure. The volume VR of the reservoir is large in comparison with the volume VC of the pneumatic cyclinder, the ratio VC/(VR + VC) being equal to the permissible variation in the working pressure of the air according to the intended use of the device.

Each of the pressure valves includes a space which is divided into first and second chambers by a flexible member. At least one of the pressure valves is embodied as an equal pressure valve, and at least one of the pressure valves is embodied as a differential pressure control valve. The pressure in the second chamber of the differential pressure control valve is the pressure prevailing upstream of the fuel metering valves, and the first chamber of the differential pressure control valve communicates with the second chamber of each of the equal pressure valves so that the pressures therein are equal. Fuel metering occurs at a constant pressure difference.

    Abstract: A lightweight container for foodstuffs or the like, formed from a multi-layer composite material, typically a sandwich of metal and synthetic plastic foil. A dish-shaped base member and a cover are thermally joined or welded at respective flanges. The cover is provided with weakening score lines which define an area which is to be removed by fracturing the cover material along the score lines when a tab, contiguous with a part of the cover, is pulled up. Each partial section of the tear-open cover has such a tab which is intended to be grasped with the fingers of one hand. The tabs themselves are not joined to the base member of the container and may, in fact, protrude out of the plane of the cover when the container is sealed. The hermetic seal in the region of the free-standing tabs is assured by a platelet, which may be made of the same material as that from which the container is made, but which may have a different composition.

An annular slide, moving coaxially with respect to the piston, cooperates with the terminal apertures of one or more of these relief channels to relieve the fluid pressure in the working chamber of the pump, thereby interrupting fuel injection to the nozzles of the engine.
