Abstract: A steering handle apparatus for use in a bicycle includes a handle bar and a change-speed lever apparatus for effecting a change-speed operation with a forward operation or a return operation to a home position of its control lever. The control lever is disposed, in the home position, on a side of the handle bar opposed to the other side contacting interdigital pads of a rider's hand gripping the grip portion of the handle bar. Further, the control lever extends towards the grip portion, and the forward operation on this control lever is effected in a direction aligned with a bending direction of the rider's thumb. The improved bicycle steering handle apparatus assures the rider or greater safety by always providing the rider with a good gripping condition and of easier control lever operation.
Abstract: The invention relates to an apparatus for coupling a shaft or a hub by means of a radially resilient bush, which can be radially clamped to the shaft or hub by axially tightenable clamping elements by exposing the clamping elements to a radially operative spring assembly; the release of the coupling is effected by means of a hydraulically- or pneumatically-actuated cylinder and piston arrangement. The nucleus of the invention is that the spring assembly is accommodated in the cylinder chamber acted upon by the pressure fluid.
Abstract: This invention relates to a mouthpiece for diving which can be attached to a regulator in scuba diving. The mouthpiece comprises a tubular air guide including first and second end portions and a pair of resilient supporting arms elastically provided contiguously of the left and right sides of the air guide second end portion. Stopper portions are provided on the resilient supporting arm portions and include side portions formed between these stopper portions and left and right outside walls of the air guide second end portion. The left and right side portions are movable so that they are opened when a person having small teeth marks bites the mouthpiece and are closed when a person having large teeth marks bites the mouthpiece. The stopper portion comes into pressure-contact with the outside wall of the inclined air guide portion, thus supporting the air guide portion.
Abstract: A system applicable to motor vehicles having a master brake cylinder with a pressure fluid supply container and at least one pressure control valve assembly is associated with a wheel brake. A pump provided which in the anti-skid mode pumps pressure fluid drawn from the wheel brake to the master brake cylinder by use of the pressure control valve assembly. In a traction control mode, the pump draws pressure fluid from the master brake cylinder and forces it to the wheel brake. To this end, the pressure control valve assembly has a first line connection communicating with the master brake cylinder, a second line connection communicating with the wheel brake, and a third line connection through which quantities of pressure fluid flows in the anti-skid mode to reduce the wheel brake pressure.
Abstract: The invention relates to a vibrator roller for soil compaction, comprising an undercarriage having at least two roller drums disposed one after the other in the travel direction. Front and rear imbalance generators in the form of weights rotating with 180.degree. phase displacement are assigned to the roller drums, and the undercarriage carries the superstructure, via elastic resilient pads. These resilient pads are positioned at least in the vicinity of the minimum vibration of the undercarriage, so that practically total vibrational decoupling between the undercarriage and the superstructure is brought about.
Abstract: A hydraulic circuit for controlling the deck swiveling speed of a working vehicle comprises a hydraulic actuator for driving the swivel deck, a flow control valve for controlling a rate of oil flow to the hydraulic actuator, and a direction control valve for switching an operating direction of the hydraulic actuator. The flow control and direction control valves are operatively connected to a swivel control lever. The greater amount of swivel control lever is operated toward a right or left swivel position, to the greater extent the flow control valve is shifted in a flow increasing direction. The direction control valve is operable to switch oil lines in response to an operation of the swivel control lever.
Abstract: A fuel distributor for fuel injection systems of internal combustion engines, having at least one fuel injection valve including a housing and a valve carrier that has at least one axial, open, stepped receiving bore that communicates with a fuel supply line, for the fuel injection valve. A bearing shoulder surrounds the receiving bore and the fuel injection valve is supported on the shoulder by a collar and is firmly fastened by an end holder. For acoustic decoupling of the fuel injection valve and the valve carrier, the collar is encompassed by a shaped ring of an elastomer material that fits over the collar on upper and lower face ends, at least in a vicinity of a bearing surface of the bearing shoulder and holder.
Abstract: A fuel injection pump for internal combustion engines that has a pump interior and a final control element chamber, separated from it, the latter having an electric final control element for actuating a quantity adjusting device that determines a fuel injection quantity, parts of the final control element from which a control variable for the injection quantity is derived and which thereby serves as a material measure, are to be protected from the influence of fuel. By means of a jet pump through which a permanent propulsive flow flows and which is part of a flow conduit, the static pressure at the intake bore of the jet pump that communicates with the final control element chamber is lowered, and this negative pressure is utilized for evacuating the fuel entering the final control element chamber in the form of a leakage flow along the bearing of a control shaft.

Abstract: An air conditioning apparatus having a cold accumulating cycle including a first compressor, a first condensor, a first decompressing mechanism and a heat accumulator and a refrigerating cycle including a second compressor, a second condensor, a second decompressing mechanism and an evaporator, wherein the heat accumulating cycle and the refrigerating cycle are provided independently of each other and in that a cooling device using the evaporator as cooling means serves for cooling by utilizing heat accumulated in the heat accumulator thereby constituting a cold transfer circuit.
Abstract: A fuel injection pump for internal combustion engines, having a piston driven for simultaneous reciprocation and rotation and embodied both as a pump piston periodically pumping fuel and as a distributor piston rotatable in the guide bore. The piston includes distributor openings that discharge at its jacket face and communicate with various injection nozzles as a function of the rotational position of the distributor piston. During the supply stroke of the pump piston, a branch line is connected to the work chamber of the pump piston, which branch line is connectable, via separate distributor openings of the distributor piston with at least one injection nozzle different from the injection nozzle connected directly, via a different distributor opening to the work chamber (5).
Abstract: A system and method for regulating a brake pressure in a brake chamber by a master brake cylinder piston, this master brake cylinder piston is associated with a brake pedal and piston rod that are acted upon by a braking force. When the brake pedal is actuated with a braking force, the master brake cylinder piston is simultaneously placed under pressure as a function of the pedal travel, and covers a longer travel than the brake pedal and piston rod.
Abstract: The invention relates to a device for atomizing liquid with the aid of gas or for comminuting gas into small bubbles with the aid of liquid, in which the gas and the liquid are joined into a two-phase mixture in a mixing chamber and mixed, and the inflow speeds and volumetric flows of the individual phases are selected such that the outflow speed of the two-phase mixture is equal to the characteristic sonic velocity. An essential feature is that to maintain the mixing ratio, the outlet cross section is adjustable.
Abstract: A fuel injection system for an internal combustion engine having a fuel supply line and at least one electromagnetically actuated fuel injection valve for metering a fuel injection quantity, which valve includes a mouthpiece fitting embodied on the valve body which protrudes into an opening in an intake tube of the engine, and the end remote from the mouthpiece fitting communicates via a fuel inflow opening with the fuel supply line. To meet hot-start conditions of the engine, the valve body is surrounded by a sheath and between the sheath and the valve body an annular chamber is formed, which extends over a substantial portion of the axial length of the valve body. Via one inflow and one outflow opening, the annular chamber is incorporated into the fuel flow in the fuel supply line.
Abstract: An injection valve for fuel injection systems of internal combustion engines which is used for injection of fuel into the intake tube. The injection valve includes a valve housing in which a core that cooperates with an armature is located. Connected to the valve housing is a nozzle body in which a conical valve seat face is formed, with which a sealing section of a valve needle actuated by the armature cooperates. The valve needle is guided by guide sections in a guide bore of the nozzle body, and upstream of the sealing section, the valve needle has a cylindrical section which protrudes through a central opening of an insert body. The insert body rests with a jacket sealing face on the valve seat face and has flow openings that lead from upstream to downstream of the insert body and are aimed at the valve seat face.
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a tampon applicator having a tampon for physiological use to absorb woman's menstrual blood, and comprising a rotatable member connected to a trailing end of the applicator and rotated to thereby cause the tampon to be protruded from and retracted into an outer cylindrical member of a case. The tampon in its spared state is thus held within the outer cylindrical member so that the applicator can be made small-sized and easy to carry. The tampon applicator is easily used by simply rotating only the rotatable member, without fear of staining fingers wherein protrusion of the tampon out of the case can be adjusted by rotation of the rotatable member so that a user can protrude the tampon to a desired length most appropriate to her before she inserts the tampon in her vagina, whereby she can use the applicator with a reduced feeling of disorder or incongruity because the tampon is inserted together with the case after protruded therefrom.
Abstract: A fuel injection device of for internal combustion engines, particularly a unit fuel injector, having a pump piston preferably driven via a drive cam and having a free piston hydraulically driven by the pump piston, the free piston divides a pump chamber from a pressure chamber, from which a pressure line leads to an injection nozzle of the engine. Via a magnetic valve, the fuel to be injected is first metered into the pressure chamber during the intake stroke of the pump piston and subsequently, in the control stroke, an injection quantity determining the supply onset is metered into the pump chamber. The pump piston with spaced annular grooves serves as a reversal device. During the metering stroke, a maintenance pressure that is lower than the metering pressure of the fuel and is generated via a pressure control valve is maintained in the pump chamber.
Abstract: A method for topping off a reservoir chamber of a hydropneumatic pressure intensifier with oil, and the embodiment of such a hydropneumatic pressure intensifier, in which the reservoir chamber has a vent bore, which being usable as an overflow protection means as well is controlled by a flow control valve and is uncovered preferably by the reservoir piston in its outset position. In the event of improper aeration, the reservoir piston is thrust against a stop determining its extreme position, in a further feature of the invention a second vent bore can be uncovered by such movement.
Abstract: In an apparatus having a radial piston device, in particular a radial piston pump or motor or the like, a pump body rotates around a control tap. Radially moving pistons are supported in the pump body and with the control tap define a pumping chamber for a fluid medium. This pumping chamber can be connected to both an intake bore and a pressure bore. Further, pressure zones are found on the jacket face of the control tap, between the control tap and the pump body, so that as a result the pump body is mainly supported by hydrostatic forces. These pressure zones are intended to comprise intersecting conduits, with segments of the jacket face remaining between them.
Abstract: The invention relates to a device for a hydraulic unit, in particular in anti-skid systems for vehicle brake systems, which has a radial piston pump. The eccentric driven by a drive shaft in the pump meets pump pistons also located in the pump, usually in the region of high stroke variation speed. An resultant mechanical and hydraulic vibration, which causes noise and annoying movement at the brake pedal, is counteracted according to the invention in that a resilient intermediate element is disposed between the pump pistons and the eccentric element, and the eccentric is driven via a torsionally elastic coupling.
