    Abstract: An apparatus for actuating a throttle valve secured on a throttle valve shaft in internal combustion engines has an adjusting lever which is seated in a manner fixed against relative rotation on the throttle valve shaft and is actuatable by a pivot lever on the one hand, and on the other, when the pivot lever is stationary, by an electromotive throttle valve adjuster. With a pivot lever bush, the pivot lever is seated on a split taper socket secured to the throttle valve shaft. For restoring the adjusting lever, a decoupling spring is provided, which is disposed on a split guide sleeve surrounding the pivot lever bush and is braced, with its tangentially offstanding spring ends, on the pivot lever and adjusting lever. To avoid friction losses in the rotation of the adjusting lever relative to the fixed pivot lever, the split taper socket protrudes axially on the swivel lever bush, and one sleeve part of the spring guide sleeve is secured to the split taper socket in the protruding region.

    Abstract: An electromagnetically actuatable valve is proposed, which serves in particular to inject into the intake tube a mixture-compressing internal combustion engines with externally-supplied ignition. The valve includes a flat armature which is firmly connected with a ball arranged to cooperate with a fixed valve seat. The flat armature is pivotally supported on its end remote from the valve seat on a spring tongue preferably embodied out of a remnant air disc. A tubular inflow stub is disposed concentrically to the valve axis, communicating on one end with a fuel distributor line and on the other end protruding as deeply as possible into the valve. A tubular outlet stub leading away from the valve seat is concentrically guided in the inlet stub, and arranged to have its end remote from the valve seat discharge into a fuel return flow line. As a result, a cooling of the valve and the return of heated fuel which contains vapor bubbles to its supply source is assured.

    Abstract: A fuel injection pump including a pump piston, which pumps fuel at injection pressure to an injection nozzle as long as a control valve blocks the flow of the fuel, which overflows from the pump work chamber via a flow conduit, to a low-pressure chamber. In this operating state, if the control valve jams and the supply of fuel to the pump work chamber is not completely prevented. A Venturi pump is provided to evacuate the fuel. By means of the Venturi pump with a permanent flow of fuel through it, the static pressure is partially dropped at a flow throttle and this negative pressure is utilized at bottom dead center (UT) of the pump piston to evacuate the pump work chamber by suction, thereby preventing an unintended injection. The apparatus is especially suitable for high-pressure injection in Diesel engines, to achieve redundantly safe operation.

The swirl channels extend in an axial direction from one end of the swirl insert to the other, are slanted toward the longitudinal shaft of the injection valve and discharge in a tangential direction into a preparation bore. The swirl channels serve simultaneously as metering channels whose throttling length is adjustable by displacing the swirl insert inside the guide bore.

A relief conduit controlled by a relief valve which automatically blocks the relief conduit during the high-pressure phase and opened upon the beginning of the cutoff, for increasing a closing pressure exerted on the fuel injection valve after the end of the injection operation. The pressure line includes a pressure valve which opens in the supply direction and closes upon the beginning of the cutoff. The relief valve is urged in the opening direction by the pressure in the pressure chamber in the high-pressure chamber phase, and opens during flow of fuel from chamber in a direction toward the spring chamber of the injection valve simultaneously with a decrease in pressure in the pump work chamber.

To increase the protection of the ceramic substrate against breakage, a reinforcing element is provided on a first housing half, protruding into the flow opening over a portion of the ceramic substrate and being glued to the ceramic substrate in the same manner as the first housing half. Protective ribs protrude from the housing halves into the flow opening in the direction of the ceramic substrate and prevent unintentional contact with the ceramic substract by objects or fingers. The flow rate meter is suitable for measuring the flow rate of the aspirated air in internal combustion engines.

During one intake stroke segment of the pump piston, the feed line is connected to the pressure chamber; during another intake stroke segment, the feed pump is connected to a reservoir, so as to control the fill volume of the reservoir as a function of time.
