Abstract: The brake system has at least one valve assembly, disposed between a master brake cylinder and at least one wheel for controlling the brake pressure during anti-skid operation. A pump is also provided for pumping pressure fluid, withdrawn from the wheel brake during a pressure reduction phase, to the master brake cylinder. A valve assembly comprising two parallel-connected 2/2-way valves is provided between the master brake cylinder and the pressure control valve assembly. During anti-skid operation, the first 2/2-way valve can be switched into a position (b) that throttles the flow of pressure fluid both from the pump to the master brake cylinder and from the master brake cylinder to the wheel brake. As a result, pulsations at the brake pedal of the master brake cylinder are largely avoided.
Abstract: A divided nut comprising two divided nut parts made of plastics which provide engaging projection means and engaging step means so as to engage with each other in a state of fixed fittings. The divided nut parts are integrally connected to each other by means of belt-like connecting means where they are bent to fit each other.
Abstract: The brake system has an apparatus for traction control having a pressure generator. The pressure generator has a longitudinally displaceable cylinder for receiving brake fluid. The cylinder is connected by means of a valve to a pressure course between a master brake cylinder and a wheel brake cylinder. An actuating element is provided for closing and opening the pressure course to the master brake cylinder as a function of the cylinder position. The actuating element, extending coaxially between the cylinder and the valve comprises a tube and furnishes hydraulic communication between the cylinder and the valve. If excessive drive slip occurs, brake fluid can be positively displaced out of the cylinder by longitudinal displacement thereof, and brake pressure can be generated in the wheel brake cylinder. The actuating element assumes a piston function, which enables a structure of the cylinder having a smaller diameter and a long stroke. This makes for more accurate adjustment of the brake pressure.
Abstract: The brake system having an electrically controllable brake apparatus of a trailer, the brake apparatus includes a control unit which is connected via electrical lines to an electrical energy source of a tractor. In braking, electrical currents are brought about of such a magnitude as to cause severe voltage drops in long lines that the functional safety of the brake apparatus may be threatened. The brake apparatus therefore has an electrical energy storage device disposed on the trailer, which can be charged by an energy source of the tractor and can be discharged upon triggering of the brake apparatus of the trailer. Voltage drops in the relatively short lines between the energy storage device and the control unit are therefore minimum. The lines between the electrical energy source of the tractor and the energy storage device of the trailer are charged by only low charging currents. The voltage drop is therefore low despite the long line length.

Abstract: A fuel injection device for internal combustion engines including a fuel distributor which has a plurality of connection fittings with a radially protruding locking collar. A plurality of fuel injection valves embodied as so-called top-feed valves that are inserted in a liquid-tight manner into the connection fitting. For retention of the fuel injection valves these valves are provided with oppositely disposed catch springs which extend parallel to the valve axis and on faces oriented toward one another have a groove and locking protrusion for engaging the locking collar from behind.
Abstract: A hydraulic brake system for a vehicle including, brake pressure modulators that prevent the locking of vehicle wheels caused by excessively high braking pressures. Such brake pressure modulators include brake line blocking valves and cylinders with pistons, where upon piston displacement, pressure fluid escapes from the wheel brakes to lower the brake pressure. The displacements of the pistons are controlled via valve assemblies that are connected to a servo pressure source. Failure of the servo pressure source, if there is even a small leak of a valve assembly, can lead to at least partial loss of a brake force during a braking event. To recognize and indicate any leak that might be present, a control unit which acts upon the valve assemblies is arranged such that it directs the valve assemblies into various switching positions and in this process, via a pressure sensor, observes whether logically observed pressures are varying impermissibly.

Abstract: A vehicle brake system having an anti-skid system with, at least one anti-skid valve assembly disposed in a brake line that leads from the master brake cylinder to the wheel brake. To pump pressure fluid out of the wheel brake to the master brake cylinder, a return feed line is provided. Located in the return feed line, in succession in the pumping direction following a pressure fluid reservoir, are a throttle and a return feed pump driven by an electric motor.
Abstract: Proposed is a low loss fiber optic switch which allows exclusive two way communication of data between a number of terminals and various host computers. A rotary switch mechanism allows the terminals to be connected exclusively to the selected host computers. An optical coupling fluid sealed in the switch mechanism minimizes signal losses and promotes higher data transmission rates.
Abstract: A pressure fluid reservoir having at least an approximately vertically disposed cylinder with a displaceably guided divider piston therein. The piston divides a pressure fluid reservoir chamber of the cylinder, located below the piston from a gas chamber located above the piston. The divider piston has a hollow chamber, which is covered with respect to the gas chamber by a cap having an opening. The cap has a fluid seal for lubricating piston sealing rings. A riser pipe that begins at an opening in the cap extends as far as a bottom of the hollow chamber that contains fluid. In an expansion of a gas cushion located in the gas chamber in the riser pipe and in the hollow chamber, fluid is pumped through the riser pipe to the fluid seal, to regenerate it the fluid seal. The pressure fluid reservoir is particularly well suited to vehicle brake systems, where long functional reliability of a piston seal is crucial.
Abstract: The invention relates to an apparatus for pressure regulation in hydraulic systems, in particular in anti-skid systems of vehicle brake systems. According to the invention, a throttle switchover valve that includes a bypass valve and a throttle assembly is disposed in the brake circuit between a damper chamber and the master cylinder. The throttle switchover valve either creates an unhindered passage for the brake fluid or throttles it, depending on the intensity of the brake pressure. This suppresses pulsations transmitted to the foot pedal, yet nevertheless, rapid braking and fast release of the brake of a motor vehicle are assured.
Abstract: A brake system including a traction control apparatus having at least one pressure generator 35, which has a cylinder 60 for receiving and expelling brake fluid by means of a piston 60. The cylinder 60 is connected, with a valve 72 actuatable as a function of the motion of the piston 50, to a pressure course between the master brake cylinder and a wheel brake cylinder. To attain a short structural length, on the one hand, and a long stroke of the pressure generator on the other, the piston is embodied as a rod piston; it is connected to a coaxially extending hollow cylinder 40 that envelops the piston 50 in the cylinder 60; the hollow cylinder 40 is longitudinally guided and is provided with a racklike set of teeth 41 on its outside for the engagement of a motor drive mechanism 43 for driving the piston relative to the cylinder.
