  • Patent number: 4981076
Abstract: This system consists of two fundamental devices based on a holder frame in which the screen to be insulated is embedded and remains fixed to the first frame by means of applying a third frame equipped with embedding elements. Once the silk screen has been insulated, it passes to a screen holder frame situated on the silk screen printing machine, in which the screen is embedded by means of fixed adjustable screws that are self-centering and the whole unit is attached to the screen holder frame, by means of a conventional pin adjuster. The entire process of the system should be followed in order to obtain maximum results.

  • Patent number: 4977597
Abstract: Stereo receiver circuit for processing a multiplex signal comprising a pilot signal by means of a pilot signal detector which detects frequency components in the multiplex signal at the frequency of the pilot signal and which controls a Schmitt trigger for influencing the mono/stereo operation, said circuit also comprising a control circuit capturing the noise components in the multiplex signal and acting on the Schmitt trigger. To prevent the Schmitt trigger from switching between the state for mono operation and the state for stereo operation in the case of weak reception field strengths, the control circuit is only active in mono operation and influences the input signal of the Schmitt trigger in the case of reception of sufficiently strong noise components to such an extent that the Schmitt trigger remains in its switching state for mono operation.

  • Patent number: 4970146
Abstract: A method of determining the amount of nutriment absorbed in living organisms comprising animals, fish and plants comprises adding to the animal, fish or plant food one or more elements from the lanthanide series as tracers. After the nutriment has been absorbed, a sample is taken from a localized part of the living organism, for example a fish scale, and the sample is analyzed by ICP (inductively coupled plasma) to determine the amount of tracer and thus the amount of absorbed nutriment in the living organism.

  • Patent number: 4970596
Abstract: The write clock controlling operation of the PIP circuitry (e.g. the analog digital converter in the PIP channel) utilizes a clock signal source having a substantially higher frequency (preferably six times) the desired write clock frequency. This clock signal is applied to a divide by six circuit which has a cycle reset controlled by the horizontal synchronization signal of the incoming PIP signal. The write clock signal furnished by this arrangement has the correct rate for sampling the incoming PIP video information and is pseudo line locked to the PIP horizontal synchronization signal.

  • Patent number: 4970469
Abstract: Phase detector having a first input for an angle-modulated input carrier to be detected, and a second input for a reference carrier having a phase shift which is dependent on the angle modulation with respect to the input carrier, the input and reference carriers being at least multiplied in the phase detector, and a frequency demodulator including such a phase detector. In order to inhibit signal distortion and notably second-order interference products in the demodulation of an angle-modulated input carrier, the phase detector according to the invention is adapted to derive an in-phase carrier A and a phase quadrature carrier B from the input carrier and to derive an in-phase carrier C and a phase quadrature carrier D from the reference carrier which has a phase which, at an average, is equal or opposite to that of the input carrier, while the phase detector is further adapted to supply from its output a signal which substantially corresponds to AC-BD.

  • Patent number: 4965853
Abstract: A zero-IF radio receiver circuit comprises an input filter (3), quadrature mixers (9,10), d.c.-blocking capacitors (24,26) and a demodulator (22). The circuit is partly integrated on a semiconductor chip and an inductive component of the input filter comprises one or more of the chip bond-wires. In order to compensate for the inevitable variation of the inductance of these bond-wires from circuit to circuit part of the signal from the local oscillator (12) is added to the input signal before its application to the input filter and the d.c. component of the resulting output from one mixer (10), which component is representative of the phase shift of the local oscillator signal produced by the input filter and hence of any tuning error of this filter, is applied to a tuning control input (30) of the filter to reduce the error. Alternatively the tuning control signal may be adjusted to maximize the sum of the squares of the d.c.

  • Patent number: 4964168
Abstract: A circuit arrangement for storing a speech signal in a digital speech memory (SP) and reproducing the stored signal comprises among other things a control circuit (SS). The control circuit produces control commands and clock signals for the individual modules of the arrangement. The speech signal to be stored is available in one of various predetermined codes. In order to enable storing speech signals of considerable lengths, it is provided to write the speech signal into the digital speech memory (SS) in a preferred digital code. For this purpose, input converters (EW1, EW2, EW3, EW4) are used which convert the code of the speech signal to be stored from the one it has into the preferred digital code, if the signal is not already available in this code. Multiplexing means (M1, M2), controlled by the control circuit (SS), further convey the converted speech signal to the input of the digital speech memory (SP).
