  • Patent number: 5129936
Abstract: The formation of paramagnetic iron sulfate hydrate salts containing iron in the di- and trivalent states from black magnetic iron oxides of high iron content and their use as fertilizers effective on both acid and alkaline soils is disclosed. Such oxides are comminuted, wetted with a specified amount of water, reacted with concentrated sulfuric acid, and dried. The resultant products are paramagnetic and contain iron in both the di- and trivalent states. These products have fertilizing and soil conditioning properties superior to non-magnetic iron compounds containing iron only in either the di- or trivalent state.

  • Patent number: 5129976
Abstract: A method of adhering a decorative paper to a cubic structure such as a box. A double-face adhesive sheet is prepared to have an upper and lower release papers, and the lower release paper is entirely peeled off to adhere thereto a decorative paper. A cut is formed on the upper release paper to form a desired shape of non-adhesive portion and surrounding adhesive portion. The upper release sheet at the surrounding adhesive portion is peeled off and the cubic structure is positioned on the non-adhesive portions. Then, the adhesive portion is bent inside of the cubic structure and adhered to the interior of the cubic structure.

  • Patent number: 5130963
Abstract: An optical disk player using quadrant type photodetector as light receiving means. The phase difference output by the time difference detection method is issued as a tracking error, and a DC component of differential output by the push-pull method is issued as a tilt error, and zero cross of said differential output is detected. By using this detection output for the detection of zero-cross timing on off-track, stable operation of the tracking servo unit is ensured.

  • Patent number: 5129440
Abstract: An improved expandable and contractible window covering comprising an assembly of elongated cells is disclosed. Each cell is formed by folding a strip of material and joining an edge to the next adjacent cell. The rear wall of the cell comprises less material than the hanging front wall flap of the cell, and the material of the cell is chosen to be relatively soft and flexible, so that the hanging front wall flap of each cell droops downwardly at least to the juncture with the adjacent lower cell.

  • Patent number: 5129679
Abstract: A locking device for securing at least first and second members which are movable relative to each other in response to a force acting thereon, in a locked rest position, with a release mechanism for releasing the members from their locked position, includes a locking element providing at least first and second support locations at which respective ones of the first and second mutually relatively movable members bear against the locking element to hold them in a locked condition. The co-operation of the locking element and one of the mutually relatively movable members provides a pivot axis about which the locking element is pivotable under the effect of an unlocking moment, to provide a release action. The device further includes a stationary stop means against which, in the locked position, the locking element bears due to the unlocking moment applied thereto.

  • Patent number: 5130365
Abstract: The invention relates to a coating composition suitable for application to plastic surfaces. The coating composition comprises, as essential components, 100 parts by weight of a chlorotrifluoroethylene based copolymer having hydroxyl group as a functional group, a curing agent for the copolymer such as a polyisocyanate, 0.5-30 parts by weight of an acrylic or methacrylic polymer which serves as an adhesion improving component, and an organic solvent. Usually the composition contains an ultraviolet absorber and another light stabilizer. For example, on a polycarbonate article this composition provides a durable coating film without marring the transparency and healthiness of the polycarbonate substrate. By the addition of a pigment the coating is modified into a paint composition which is particularly useful for repairing a bake finished paint film formed by using a polyvinylidene based paint.

  • Patent number: 5129859
Abstract: An automotive vehicle air conditioning system has an air distributor duct branching off into first and second outlet ducts for delivering air in different directions, respectively and an air flow control device disposed at a junction where the distributor duct branches off into the two outlet ducts. The air flow control device consists of first and second air flow control members disposed side by side for deflecting air flows passing into the first and second outlet ducts, respectively, either one of the first and second air flow control members being actuated to deflect a flow of air passing therethrough so as to deliver air into the one of the first and second outlet ducts in a high proportion relative to air delivered into the other.

  • Patent number: 5129699
Abstract: An airfoil roof incorporated into or added onto a vehicle roof in the form of a longitudinal tunnel that is open at the front and closed at the rear which enables air to pass into the forward end of the tunnel during forward movement of the vehicle with the closed rearward end of the tunnel catching such air which causes a limited lifting force to be exerted on the vehicle to, in effect, reduce the weight of the vehicle thereby reducing the energy required to propel the vehicle over a road surface thereby resulting in energy conservation by enabling a vehicle to be propelled a greater distance while consuming a given quantity of fuel which results from the decrease in weight and the reduction in rolling resistance and fricitonal resistance between the vehicle tires and road surface.

  • Patent number: 5128502
Abstract: A three-pole switch arrangement has for each pole a pole housing, onto which collar-shaped extensions, protruding on the underside, are formed. Provided in the extensions are screw holes, the graduation of which corresponds to the screw coupling, by which the mechanism housing has been screwed to the pole housing. The outer switch poles are oriented outwardly by one graduation and are fastened to the frame by means of screws. Counter to this inclined position, the mechanism housing, rotated by one graduation, is screwed onto the pole housing. It is consequently possible to use the same parts for all three switch poles, and also to transport the switch arrangement pole-by-pole.

  • Patent number: 5127746
Abstract: A bearing holder for bearings mounted on journals includes a lower support socket secured to a frame, and a cover part pivotally connected with the socket. The cover part is able to be locked in a shut position, folded onto the bearing positioned in the support socket. In order to provide a bearing holder of this type, which makes possible the removal and insertion of the journals without releasing the cover parts by hand, and without having to be pivoted and locked for the purpose of opening and shutting, cover parts are pivotally bearinged on two upper lateral parts of the support socket about axes which are parallel to the journal. Such cover parts include an upper, longer arm and a lower, shorter arm of a two-armed lever.
