  • Patent number: 4129819
Abstract: A STIFF POSITIVE FEEDBACK TO THE VOLTAGE REGULATOR TAP AT WHICH THE Zener diode in circuit with the control transistor of the regulator is called into play accelerates the switching operation at the operating thresholds of the regulator, while a negative feedback from the same regulator terminal, with inversion produced by a transistor, is applied to a second tap of the voltage divider farther from ground, where its effect is delayed by a capacitor that also serves to filter the command voltage applied to the regulator. The transistor that inverts the feedback acts as a controlled current source drawing current from the second voltage tap. The circuit is highly compatible with production by integrated circuit technology.

  • Patent number: 4129294
Abstract: Suction-pulling devices for engaging the underside of a lifted top sheet of a stack of sheet material are carried on short carrier pieces inwardly extending from the respective front ends of two swing rods suspended above the stack near its sides. The swing rods are suspended on two crank arms, the most rearward of which is continuously driven to cause the front ends of these rods to describe an oval path in the vertical plane. The upper part of this path, which provides the forward motion, matches the speed of a suction lifter for the top sheet in a rear path portion and matches the linear speed of the drive rolls of a succeeding transport device in a forward portion. The suction-pullers are rotatable about a horizontal axis to fit the lay of the sheet being transferred and a control cam on a bearing of the rear supporting crank arm also produces a slight outward pull of the suction lifters during the forward motion to stretch the front edge of the sheet.

  • Patent number: 4129248
Abstract: Bottom parts, overlapping on a longitudinal median strip and connected at bending lines with the long sidewalls of a folding box, are attached to the short sidewalls by connection flaps which have triangular ears glued to the adjacent short sidewall halves. The triangular adhering ears are bounded by 45.degree. fold lines from the remainder of the connecting flap. The lower bottom part has a shallow oblique cutout at each end with its apex on the folding line between it and the connecting flap, so that the upper bottom part will ride on it easily as the box is set up while blunt corners on the leading edge of the oblique cut-out press in to provide snap action as the box is set up by inward pressure on the short sidewalls. In the folded condition, the sidewalls are folded together along the midline of the narrow walls. The two bottom parts are fastened together by a sticking strip edge along the middle. The lower bottom part bends on a folding line at the edge of this strip as the box is set up.
