  • Patent number: 7087256
Abstract: An improved flavoring composition and process for brewing malt beverages is disclosed. In one embodiment of the invention, the flavoring composition is formed from a high solids percent, room temperature stable, partially aqueous composition of a potassium salt of iso-?-acids. Such composition may be added to the wort kettle or else used as a post-fermentation additive, preferably after dilution with demineralized water. In another embodiment, the flavoring composition comprises a mixture containing reduced (rho-) iso-?-acids in alkali metal salts form, ?-acids and hop oil. This latter composition is useful as a substitute for normal kettle extract, hops or hop pellets, allowing easy preparation of beer that resists formation of unpleasant, “skunk” flavors but has otherwise similar flavor and physical properties.

  • Patent number: 7082671
Abstract: A recording/reproduction element is mounted on a magnetic head slider via a piezoelectric element so that a displacement of the piezoelectric element performs fine control of the position of the recording/reproduction, thus enabling fine spacing and high track positioning accuracy. This improves linear recording density and track density. A pair of electrodes are formed on both sides of a piezoelectric element to constitute a piezoelectric actuator. One electrode is arranged opposite the rear surface (air flow out end) of a magnetic head slider 11. A recording/reproduction element is arranged on and electrically insulated from the other electrode. The piezoelectric element includes a piezoelectric element displaced in a spacing direction, enabling fine spacing control, a piezoelectric element displaced in the track direction, enabling fine track position control, and a piezoelectric element displaced in a magnetic disc rotation direction, enabling reduction of jitter of a reproduction signal.

  • Patent number: 7082072
Abstract: A semiconductor memory device includes a pair of memory sub arrays and a control signal generating circuit. The pair of memory sub arrays shares a sense amplifier, and each of the pair of memory sub arrays has a plurality of memory cells arranged in a matrix. Each of columns of the matrix is connected to a pair of bit lines, and each of rows of the matrix is connected to a word line. The control signal generating circuit sequentially outputs first and second refresh start signals within an operation time to an external refresh command in response to an internal refresh command. A first refreshing operation is carried out to first memory cells connected to a first word line of one of the memory sub arrays in response to the first refresh start signal, and a second refreshing operation is carried out to second memory cells connected to a second word line different from the first word line in the memory sub array in response to the second refresh start signal.

  • Patent number: 7081002
Abstract: The invention pertains to a separable plug connection, particularly for rectangular connectors that are composed of a shielding metal housing, a connector insert and an insulating sleeve that encompasses the metal housing, as well as a correspondingly designed mating connector. The invention proposes to arrange the encompassing sleeve in a displaceable fashion, wherein metal locking levers arranged on the metal housing are guided into a slot within the sleeve in such a way that the free ends of the metal locking levers are pressed part during a sliding movement of the sleeve. When the connector and the corresponding mating connector are connected and interlocked, this causes hooks integrally arranged on the metal locking levers to be levered out of opening arranged on the mating connector such that the locking device is released. The hooks engage into the openings when the plug connection needs to be interlocked.

  • Patent number: 7079153
Abstract: A mark-making tool creator creates mark-making tool definitions for a graphic computer software application having a mark-making tool handler for handling mark-making tools based on mark-making tool definitions. The mark-making tool creator comprises a donor handler for receiving definitions of selected donor mark-making tools and a control value synthesizer. Each definition has a set of donor control values defining the respective donor mark-making tool. The control value synthesizer interpolates the sets of donor control values of the selected donor mark-making tools to generate one or more new sets of control values, and provides the new sets of control values to the mark-making tool handler as new definitions to create and display new mark-making tools for user's preview.

  • Patent number: 7066635
Abstract: Light is input into an incident surface portion from a fluorescent lamp, and most of the light propagates in repetition directions. Since a length of an emission portion of the fluorescent lamp is shorter than that of the incident surface portion, there are areas to which no light propagates and dark portions generate in the repetition directions of a string of prisms. Since these dark portion generate out of the display area, a display quality is improved.
