Abstract: A device is to secure conduits on saddles comprising grooved rails transversely with an axial line of the conduit, provided with a foot projecting engaging parts laterally for the suspending wall, holding curves continuing from the foot, a main body having projections forward from the end of the holding curve, and a vane plate whose sides have the length equal to or more than the inner width of a flange and other two sides are shorter than said two sides, and which has a female screw at the center portion. The vane plate is disposed under the seat part, and is screwed with a stem of the screw member inserted in a passage of the seat part, and is pulled upward by an elastic body disposed around the stem between the head of the screw member of the vane and the seat part, and the vane plate is contacted to the suspending wall of the saddle by rotating down the screw member, and the conduit is fixed temporarily.

Abstract: A base on a movable table is used for determining the x and y coordinates of a workpiece. The base consists of a first reference base and a second reference base, with each reference base having a reference face with grooves adapted to receive a wire to determine the location of the side of the workpiece in one coordinate direction and two reference holes having wire guiding grooves for checking the thermal expansion of the side of the workpiece. Additionally each reference base has an indicator for showing both the distance between the two reference holes and the distance between the centers of the two reference holes and the reference face.
Abstract: A microwave absorber with a microwave-absorbing material, a protective hong surrounding this, and a waveguide leading into the protective housing, through which waveguide the microwaves to be absorbed can be conducted to the absorbing material, the microwave-absorbing material forming a solid body with a hollow, on one side of which the waveguide opens, a termination element being arranged on the side of the hollow opposite to the waveguide, and the housing being provided with an inlet and an outlet for a cooling fluid.

Abstract: A target holder for an ion implantation system is disclosed. The targets are supported on a disk which is mounted on a motor which spins the disk. The motor is in turn mounted on a shaft which makes a reciprocating scanning movement along its axis. The spinning of the disk and the reciprocation of the shaft provide uniform exposure of the targets to the incident ion beam. In addition, the shaft can be rotated about its axis to control the angle of incidence of the ion beam as it strikes the targets.

Abstract: A safety lock in a steam pressure coffee maker is disclosed. The safety lock comprises a piston fitted in an orifice of the coffee maker body. When the pressure in the coffee maker chamber is sufficiently high, the piston is moved causing the piston rod to enter recesses provided along the periphery of a threaded plug which closes the main aperture. With the piston rod in this position, the threaded plug cannot be turned, thereby ensuring that the main aperture remains closed until the high pressure conditions no longer prevail.
Abstract: A microwave calorimeter for very high power, with a housing, which surrou a feed chamber, into which a waveguide runs for feeding the microwaves, and an absorber-chamber which is separated from the feed chamber by a dielectric wall and contains a microwave-absorbing fluid, the fluid consisting at least in part of a compound whose capacity for the absorption of microwaves is less than that of water.

Abstract: A cover for a disposable drinking cup is provided. The cover has a hinged tab defined by score lines which is re-closable. A pair of spaced apart arcuate ribs is provided on the cover which forms an arcuate recess. The recess is designed to releasably engage the tab and retain it in an open position. A sump can also be included on the cover, which serves as a collection reservoir for any spilled liquid.

Abstract: A power transmission device for machine tools which provides tow driven shafts at a right angle to each other. A first driven shaft is disposed at a right angle to a driving shaft and is driven from a bevel gear on the end of the driving shaft engaging a ring or crown gear on the first driven shaft. A second driven shaft is disposed parallel to the driving shaft and carries a pulley driven from a pulley on the driving shaft. The driving shaft is adjustable toward and away from the second driven shaft to allow adjustment of the tension of a belt disposed around the pulleys, and the ring or crown gear is movable axially on the first driven shaft to allow such adjustment.

Abstract: For producing titanium clad steel plates by hot rolling, oxide of Mo or V is used as an intermediate material, and a slab assembly is formed with ferrous bases and titanium cladding materials. At least one side of cladding surfaces of the bases and the cladding materials is coated with an oxide of Mo or V of 20 to 300 g/m.sup.2, and an interior of the slab assembly is air-discharged less than 10.sup.-1 torr, and the slab assembly is heated at temperatures between a melting point of the employed oxide plus 50.degree. C. and 1050.degree. C. and undertaken with hot rolling.
Abstract: In a vacuum vapor-deposition system a substrate holder is arranged stationary in the main part of a vapor-deposition chamber. Evaporation apparatuses are arranged on the floor of the vapor-deposition chamber, which is moveably connected to the main part of the vacuum-deposition chamber via a bellows and can swivel about two mutually intersecting axes or be displaced along two mutually intersecting axes with respect to the main part by means of two drive mechanisms. In this way the thermostatization of the substrate and the production of very uniform layers is facilitated.

Abstract: A heat-sensitive recording sheet comprising:(a) a support sheet;(b) a thermo-sensitive color forming layer formed on the said support sheet, said thermo-sensitive color forming layer comprising a colorless to pale color leuco dye and an acidic material capable of coloring the colorless to pale color leuco dye when heat is applied thereto;(c) an over-coat layer formed on the said heat-sensitive, color-forming layer, said over-coat layer comprising an inorganic silicate or a mixture of an inorganic silicate and a water-soluble, high-molecular compound or a slightly water-soluble high-molecular compound.The said heat-sensitive recording sheet has a reduced property of sticking of coatings and/or dreg to a thermal head during recording and gives a developed image which is not faded by contact with plasticizer, oil, fat or water.
