Abstract: A method of measuring planarity of strip in a strip-rolling line or a strip-processing line in which a measuring beam, a plurality of measuring beams or discrete measuring pins in an inclined pattern across a measuring roller, measures the tension forces acting upon the strip to form a force summation foundation across the strip width. A tension distribution function is derived from the force summation function by taking derivatives of the force-summation function with respect to the width dimension of the strip and, if desired, dividing that derivative by the thickness of the strip.

Abstract: The invention relates to a tap selector switch with a preselector for uninterrupted switching-over between different winding taps of a tapped transformer. The entire selector is in that case accommodated as a separate assembly in an own insulating material housing, and the fixed preselector contacts are constructed in circular form and arranged around a switch rod in different planes in the interior of this insulating material cylinder. Abstract: The invention relates to a method for wrapping unit loads or packaged goods (2) using a section of elastic film (8) that is at least approximately hood-shaped, whereby the section of film is gathered and pulled over the unit load or packaged goods. The invention aims to provide a significantly faster packaging method of this type, which can be used in branches of industry with high production figures, e.g. white goods (dishwashers, refrigerators etc.). To achieve this, the section of film is gathered by a gathering device (3), then taken by a covering device (6) that can be displaced separately and subsequently pulled over the unit load or packaged goods, in particular being stretched beforehand. Another section of film can be gathered by the gathering device, while the previous section of film is still being pulled over the unit load or packaged goods.

Abstract: A tube end having an outwardly projecting ridge is secured in a fitting having a body formed with a seat centered on an axis and open axially rearwardly. The tube end is coaxially engageable in the seat, and a retaining clip on the body extends secantally across the seat and can move between an outer spread position engaging a respective inner surface of the seat and an inner retaining position spaced radially inward from the respective inner surface. The tube end when fully axially inserted in the seat is engaged axially outward of the ridge by the clip. A latch element can move between an outer freeing position generally clear of the clip and an inner locking position engaged outward of the clip between same and the respective inner surface and preventing the clip from moving from the inner retaining position to the outer spread position.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method for deposition of a catalyst, in particular a method for coating a membrane electrode unit (MEA) for a fuel cell.
