Abstract: A frequency conversion apparatus having a mixer eliminates phase miss-matching between two intermediate frequency (IF) signals having the same frequency and a 90 degree difference in phase. The frequency conversion apparatus for compensating for phase mismatching of first and second IF signal in response to an RF input signal transmitted through an RF input terminal includes a quadrature signal generator (QSG) outputting first and second oscillating frequency signals having a 90 degre difference in phase, a first mixer mixing the RF input signal with a first resultant frequency signal having a first resultant phase and generated from the first oscillating frequency signal and an inverted signal of the second oscillating frequency signal, and a second mixer mixing the RF signal with a second resultant frequency signal having a second resultant phase and generated from the second oscillating frequency signal and an inverted signal of the first second oscillating frequency signal.
Abstract: In an image processing apparatus, a desired image processing is applied to an input signal by using a color correction table which changes an amount of conversion for a white point according to the luminance of white provided from an image output apparatus. It is possible to avoid influence of adaptation of the eye by making chromaticity of a target white point (D=O, (xwt, ywt)) close to chromaticity of white of the image output apparatus (D=1, (xwd, ywd)). Further, the target white point after the conversion is made close to a white point of the image output apparatus as luminance of the white provided from the image output apparatus increases. The reason for this constitution is that the human eye tends to adapt to bright light more than to dark light.
Abstract: The invention relates to surface acoustic antennas for submarines. It consists, in a known antenna, in replacing certain pressure sensors with velocity sensors in order to obtain cardioid directivity with a zero oriented toward the hull of the submarine. It allows the use of baffles serving to attenuate the noise generated inside the submarine.

Abstract: The invention relates to a synthetic sonar antenna and more particularly to the self-calibration of such an antenna. It consists in minimizing the number of sensors of the reception antenna by fixing the reduced pitch between the sensors, imposed by the precision of the self-calibration, solely at the two ends of the antenna. According to a variant, the reduced pitch is fixed at just one end of the antenna. It makes it possible to increase the precision of the self-calibration with a smaller number of sensors than in the prior art.

Abstract: A collapsible table includes a table top formed of a pair of pivotable table top half-sections hinged to one another at their adjacent edges along a center-line of the table and displaceable between an open position where the half-sections are coplanar, and a folded position where the half-sections overlap one another. Each half-section has at an undersurface thereof a transverse support member pivotally articulated thereto with a leg associated with each lateral edge of the transverse support member, and a pair of longitudinal support members pivotally articulated to the undersurface. The support members are displaceable between erect and collapsed positions whereby the transverse support member is prohibited from collapsing as long as at least one of the longitudinal support members is erect.
Abstract: A synchronism pattern detecting timing recorder (20) records a synchronism pattern detecting timing at which a synchronism pattern is detected in reception data, a synchronism decider (12) collates the reception data with reference data to decide whether or not the reception data is consistent in phase with the reference data, and a timing generator (22) operates, when the synchronism decider (12) gives a decision for inconsistency in phase, for a match between the synchronism pattern detecting timing recorded in the synchronism pattern detecting timing recorder (20), as a subsequent one, and a timing of a synchronism pattern of the expectation data, and the subsequent synchronism pattern detecting timing in record is used to render the phases consistent, allowing for a rapid synchronization to be obtained, without the need of waiting a detection of synchronism pattern, even with an inconsistency in phase due to a false synchronism pattern.
Abstract: A decelerating device includes a casing defining internally a chamber filled with a viscous fluid, e.g. silicone oil; and a movable member fitted in fluidtight manner to the casing, so as to be housed at least partly inside the chamber and immersed in the viscous fluid. The movable member has a partition for dividing the chamber substantially in fluidtight manner into at least two adjacent portions varying in volume as a function of the position of the movable member with respect to the casing; and a calibrated constriction for maintaining permanent hydraulic connection of the at least two adjacent portions of the chamber, so that the viscous fluid flows between the chamber portions as a consequence of relative motion between the movable member and the casing.
Abstract: Disclosed are a chip scale package and a method of fabricating the chip scale package. The chip scale package comprises conductive layers with a designated depth formed on an upper and a lower surfaces of a chip, and electrode surfaces formed on the same side surfaces of the conductive layers, which are connected to corresponding connection pads of a printed circuit board. The chip scale package is miniaturized in the whole package size. Further, the method of fabricating the chip scale package does not require a wire-bonding step or a via hole forming step, thereby simplifying the fabrication process of the chip scale package and improving the reliability of the chip scale package.

Abstract: An LED package comprises a substrate, one or three terminals formed on a first side of the substrate, three terminals formed on a second side opposite to the first side, and two or three LEDs disposed on the substrate, one of the LEDS being electrically connected to one of the terminals formed on the first side while being electrically connected to one of the terminals formed on the second side, and other LEDS being electrically connected to two terminals formed on the first side or to two terminals formed on the second side. A light source comprises the LED packages having the structure as described above. Without being arranged in a line, the LEDs emitting the same color are differently arranged in every LED package, thereby solving the problem of non-uniform combination of the colors according to the positions of the LEDs on an LED package-mounting substrate.

Abstract: A container for dispensation of wet tissues includes an elastically flexible flap causing a part of the uppermost wet tissue exposed outward from the container through an opening to collapse toward a hinge of a lid. The flap has a covering portion adapted to cover the opening and a distal portion on the opening's periphery extending beyond the opening. The container ensures that the part of the wet tissue is held between the opening's periphery and the distal portion of the flap.
