  • Patent number: 7209372
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a flyback converter with a synchronous rectifier which is applied to a power supply of a portable computer such as a notebook PC. The flyback converter is operated in a critical conduction mode to turn on/off a main switch at a zero crossing point of an output voltage. The flyback converter is also adapted to supply a driving voltage to a synchronous switch using the output voltage. Therefore, there is no need for a secondary auxiliary coil of a transformer and for a Schottky diode to be connected in parallel with the synchronous switch, resulting in simplification in circuit design.

  • Patent number: 7209464
Abstract: A verification system and method for packet call processing of a mobile telephone. Each IP address is assigned to a terminal, a packet service simulator and the mobile telephone. The packet service simulator simulates a control signal of UTRAN necessary for the mobile telephone and connects data traffic to an internet after a packet call establishment. The packet service simulator transmits an IP packet generated from the terminal to its Ethernet address, receives a packet for the terminal and transmits it to the mobile telephone. For this, the packet service simulator responds to the terminal's ARP request. The terminal is linked to the mobile telephone via a PPP, and the mobile telephone and the packet service simulator to an external internet via an Ethernet.

  • Patent number: 7208356
Abstract: Provided is a multiple-gate metal oxide semiconductor (MOS) transistor and a method for manufacturing the same, in which a channel is implemented in a streamline shape, an expansion region is implemented in a gradually increased form, and source and drain regions is implemented in an elevated structure by using a difference of a thermal oxidation rate depending on a crystal orientation of silicon and a geographical shape of the single-crystal silicon pattern. As the channel is formed in a streamline shape, it is possible to prevent the degradation of reliability due to concentration of an electric field and current driving capability by the gate voltage is improved because the upper portion and both sides of the channel are surrounded by the gate electrodes. In addition, a current crowding effect is prevented due to the expansion region increased in size and source and drain series resistance is reduced by elevated source and drain structures, thereby increasing the current driving capability.
