  • Patent number: 4159095
Abstract: A seat height adjustment mechanism comprises a seat base frame mounted on a supporting fixture by means of front and rear sets of levers to enable the vertical height of the front and rear ends of the seat base to be adjusted relative to the fixture. Angular adjustment of the front and rear levers is effected by means of respective gear sets at opposite sides of the seat. The gear set associated with the front end of the seat base can be operated directly by the seat occupant and the two gear sets are linked by a selectively operable clutch device so that the rear end gear set can be operated simultaneously with the front end gear set if the clutch is in the operative condition. In this way, the seat is raised or lowered bodily at both ends. When the clutch is inoperative, the rear end gear set is not operated and only the front end of the seat is then raised or lowered.

  • Patent number: 4132370
Abstract: A device for forming a supply bobbin from a thread advanced from a yarn supply includes a stationary winding drum having a winding space around the drum and defining an internal chamber and a slit connecting the winding space and the chamber. A rotatably mounted thread guide means for winding yarn on the winding space of the drum is included and a plurality of pins rotatably mounted within the chamber of the winding drum are provided for movement in an axial plane with respect to the winding drum through the slit one after the other. The pins successively exit and enter the chamber of the winding drum through the slit. Means are provided for so driving the pins continuously in a fixed transmission ratio with respect to the thread guide means that the pins exit from the chamber after a predetermined plurality of yarn windings have been formed on the winding space of the drum. The pins separate successive series of yarn windings by each momentarily forming a barrier for yarn windings.

  • Patent number: 4114982
Abstract: This invention is concerned with light transmitting screens which can be used in printing of half-tone illustrations such as photographs and in color television. The screen is formed on one face with a plurality of projections or depressions which so adjoin one another that the face is free of interstices, light incident on the contoured surface so formed being refracted as it passes through the screen to break up the image being transmitted into a pattern of dots. For use in color television, the projections or depressions are defined as triangular pyramids whose surfaces are subtended from their bases at different angles to be in sympathy with the wavelengths of the different colors being transmitted.
