Abstract: A camera device comprises a photosensitive film, a frame connected to the film for holding the film fixed in a plane, a plurality of lenses having respective focal lengths, and a plurality of spring loaded brackets equal in number to the lenses. The brackets removably mount respective lenses to the frame and are dimensioned for holding the lenses at respective focal positions relative to the film. Releasable locking elements equal in number to the lenses are attached to the frame in operative engagement with respective brackets for holding the brackets in collapsed pre-usage configurations in opposition to spring forces tending to expand the brackets and position the lenses at the respective focal positions. A plurality of shutters equal in number to the lenses are mounted to the frame for enabling light transmission selectively from the lenses onto the film.
Abstract: Disclosed is a frame-supported pellicle, which is an integral body consisting of a rigid frame and a transparent plastic film adhesively bonded to one end surface of the frame in a slack-free fashion, for dustproof protection of a photomask used in a photolithographic patterning work in the manufacture of fine electronic devices such as LSIs and liquid crystal display panels. The frame-supported pellicle is prepared by bonding the frame and plastic film with an adhesive having a glass transition temperature substantially lower than that of the polymeric resin forming the film and the adhesive bonding work is performed at a temperature higher than the glass transition temperature of the adhesive but lower than that of the polymeric resin of the film so that excellent adhesive bonding strength can be obtained between the frame and the resin film still without causing any adverse influences on the resin film such as distortion and crease formation.
Abstract: In a projection system for projecting a video picture composed of picture points on a screen with at least one light source which emits a light bundle and can be varied in intensity and with a deflecting device which deflects the light bundle to illuminate the picture points on the screen, a transformation optical system having at least two stages is arranged between the deflecting device and the screen and is corrected according to the tangent condition so as to be free of distortion. The transformation optical system has at least two optical stages. The first optical stage produces an intermediate image plane which is imaged on the screen by means of the subsequent optical stage (s).

Abstract: A portable sampling system and method for use with a cargo tank's vapor control valve or other suitable tank entry device to enable an operator to extract and bottle a product sample in place without transfer of the collected sample to another container thereby using the same container for both collection and bottling and without transfer of the collected sample through an open atmosphere. A built-in sampling valve and sample bottle fill attachment are associated with a hand held gauging apparatus for collection of the product sample free of human contact therewith, a vapor return hose assembly couples the built-in sampling valve and bottle fill attachment to the gauging apparatus for eliminating vapor release to the atmosphere and to protect an end user from possible exposure to toxic vapors.
Abstract: A porous multi-layer film favorably employable as a separator film for a nonaqueous electric battery comprises at least three united polyolefin layers, in which at least one polyolefin layer is a polyethylene layer and at least one polyolefin layer is a polypropylene layer which is placed in contact with the polyethylene layer. The polyolefin layers are combined to form a united structure with a peel strength of at least 3 g/15 mm and has a pore volume of 30-80%, a maximum pore size of 0.02-2 .mu.m, a shutdown temperature of 135.degree.-140.degree. C., and a thermal durability to maintain the shutdown condition up to at least 180.degree. C.
Abstract: A multifocal contact lens customized for a patient has an anterior side with a power curve defined in part by (i) a central spheric aspheric surface, (ii) an inner annular spheric surface contiguous with the central aspheric surface, (iii) a second annular spheric surface contiguous along a radially inner periphery with the inner annular spheric surface, and (iv) an outer annular spheric surface contiguous along a radially inner periphery with the second annular spheric surface. Each of the annular spheric surfaces is concentric or coaxial with the central aspheric surface. The central aspheric surface corresponds to a distance vision correction zone. The inner annular spheric surface is an spheric surface corresponding to an intermediate vision correction zone. Abstract: Disclosed is a frame-supported pellicle for dust-proofing of a photolithographic photomask used for patteriwse light exposure in the manufacturing process of, for example, semiconductor devices, which comprises (a) a frame member, (b) a transparent polymeric film supported by the frame member and (c) a coating layer of a sticky adhesive on one surface of the polymeric film to capture any dust particles in the space between the photomask and the pellicle. The inventive pellicle is imparted with a greatly improved serviceable life with stability against ultraviolet irradiation relative to the adhesive coating layer which is formed from a specific organo-polysiloxane-based adhesive composition.
Abstract: An automatically controlled cutting machine for cutting multiple layers of fabric sheet material spread out on a cutting table, the cutting machine including a cutting tool which is rotatable about a Z-axis and which includes a cutting knife mounted on a cutting head and a guiding device for guiding the cutting knife. One end of the knife is mounted in the cutting head so as to be freely rotatable around the Z-axis. The guiding device is arranged adjacent to the remaining free end of the knife and comprises a socket rigidly connected to the cutting head, and a support which is freely and rotatably mounted in the socket around a vertical axis located in front and adjacent to the cutting edge of the knife, and parallel and spaced a predetermined distance from the Z-axis. The support has a slot surrounding the flanks of the knife.

Abstract: The side sizer system includes a marker which can be mounted on a hanger in a self-locking manner. In some embodiments, the marker is fitted over an integral rib located at a juncture between a hook and the hanger body so as to engage under the rib in a self-locking relationship. In other embodiments, the hanger is provided with inwardly directed projections while the marker is provided with outwardly directed flanges to snap under the projections. In still other embodiments, the markers are provided with internal tabs with projections for snap-fitting into recesses in upstanding walls of mounting blocks on the hanger. Two types of tools for engaging under the markers to pull the markers from the ribs include jaws for splaying the marker walls outwardly.
Abstract: The present invention provides a process for preparing a high water-containing elastomer medical catheter and a urinary catheter prepared by the process. The process is carried out by a) heating a mixture consisting of polyvinyl alcohol, water, sulfoxide and linear alkane, in a sealed vessel with agitating; b) pouring the resulting homogeneous fluid into a mould; c) solidifying the fluid by cooling; d) releasing the solidified fluid from the mould; and e) heat-treating the resulting medical catheter and washing with a polar organic solvent. The medical catheter and the urinary catheter of the present invention have excellent lubricity.
Abstract: The envelope is constructed with cut outs or openings in the back ply to expose the glue on the folded over tabs secured to the back ply. An overlying panel is secured to the glue via the openings to facilitate processing in automated postal equipment. A second panel is folded under the first panel and is preprinted for use as a merchandise order form. The envelope may be provided with statements and a return envelope which is sized to receive the merchandise order form.
Abstract: A porous lithium aluminate carrier for catalyst has a spinel structure which has a mean pore diameter in the range of 40 to 1,000 angstroms and a total pore volume in the range of 0.2 to 1.5 mL/g. The porous lithium aluminate carrier can be used for supporting a catalyst compound containing a platinum group metal. The catalyst on the carrier can be favorably employed for promoting catalytic reaction of a nitrite ester and carbon monoxide to prepare a carbonate diester such as dimethyl carbonate.
Abstract: A swivel lever closing device for operating locking systems such as locking bars which can be installed in a fold space in sheet-metal cabinet doors including a door plate which has a base plate with a swivel lever serving as a handle and with protuberances serving to engage in cut outs in the door. A first protuberance is formed at one end of the door plate in the region of a locking arrangement for the swivel lever. A second protuberance is formed at an other end of the door plate and is arranged at the door plate symmetrically with respect to rotation so as to be offset by 180.degree. with reference to an actuating axis of the swivel lever. A locking bar is provided through a latch, with the swivel lever and an articulated spindle pinion and with receptacles in the cabinet for locking elements formed in the region of the locking bar. The door plate has a first door plate region and a second door plate region.
Abstract: There is provided a method for sample introduction into a gas chromatograph for performing sample analysis, in which a sample is introduced into a removable sample container, the container is placed in a sample introduction device, the device with said container is inserted into a gas chromatograph injector, and the sample is then vaporized for effecting analysis thereof by the gas chromatograph. The non-volatile residues of the sample retained in the container after vaporization and are removed with the container prior to performing the next analysis.
Abstract: The self-closing hinge assembly has a pair of cam members which are biased against each other by a pair of coil springs. The outer coil spring serves to bias the cam members together under a first restoring force and is effective during an initial opening of a door, for example to a 90.degree. position. The second inner spring becomes compressed only after the outer coil spring has been compressed. Compression of the second coil spring occurs as a door is opened beyond the 90.degree. position. The door may be held in one of two dwell positions corresponding to the cam surfaces on the movable cam member.
