    Abstract: An apparatus for controlling a hybrid vehicle having an internal combustion engine and an electric motor as driving sources for the vehicle, in which when it is detected that an air-fuel ratio of a supply air-fuel mixture to the engine changed to the lean side value (S44˜S46), the electric motor (2) is made operative as a motor in order to assist an output of the engine just after the detection (S47, S48). When it is detected that the air-fuel ratio of the supply air-fuel mixture changed to the rich side value (S44, S52, S53), the electric motor (2) is made operative as a generator for the purpose of the regeneration braking just after the detection (S54, S55). An output torque difference of the engine, therefore, when the air-fuel ratio of the supply air-fuel mixture changes can be sufficiently compensated without a time delay.

    Abstract: A locking device for a parking brake is provided which ensures that the operation of locking a parking brake lever and the operation of releasing the locking of the parking brake lever can be carried out in a single stage. The parking brake lever is pivotally supported on a mounting bracket mounted on a steering handle by a first support shaft, and a lever locking member is pivotally supported on the mounting bracket by a second support shaft, and biased by a torsion spring. When the parking brake lever is operated, an engage groove in the parking brake lever is brought into engagement with a locking pin, whereby the parking brake lever is locked at a brake operating position. When an operating portion of the lever locking member is urged in a direction against a resilient force of the torsion spring, the engagement of the engage groove and the locking pin with each other is released, whereby the parking brake lever is pulled by a Bowden cable and swung back to an original brake releasing position.

Then, a drag estimating device estimates the drag D of the airplane, based on the thrust T and the motion state of the airplane. An operation-amount calculating device converges the steering angle into a target steering angle at which the drag of the airplane is minimized, by repeating the operation of varying the steering angle of a flap by a very small angle by an operating device, and further varying the steering angle by a very small angle, while monitoring the increase or decrease in drag resulting from such variation. Such a drag reducing control is carried out, while monitoring the actual drag and hence, is extremely effective, and also can exhibit an effectiveness, irrespective of the motion state of the airplane.

Based on the fact that the HC concentration rising time interval becomes short as the adsorbent degrades and adsorption capacity decrease, the time lapse since engine starting until the detected HC concentration exceeds a predetermined level is measured and is compared with a threshold value such that the adsorbent is discriminated to be degraded if the measured time lapse is less than the threshold value, thereby enabling to improve the discrimination accurately.

The pattern on the array is processed to derive the relative angular deflection of the torque input members and provides a measure of the magnitude of the torque in the shaft.
