Abstract: An apparatus for controlling a rotational speed of a motor, coupled to a sensing unit capable of outputting a sensing signal. The apparatus includes a controlling unit, coupled to the sensing unit, for outputting a controlling signal according to the sensing signal and independently of the rotational speed of the motor. The controlling signal is a square wave and has a duty ratio that is determined by the sensing signal. The apparatus also includes a driving unit, coupled to the controlling unit, for outputting a driving signal to a motor rotor according to the duty ratio of the controlling signal. The driving signal also is a square wave. The rotational speed of the motor rotor is determined by the duty ratio of the driving signal.
Abstract: A gate-equivalent-potential circuit and method for an I/O pad ESD protection arrangement including used and unused MOS fingers connected to the I/O pad comprises a switch connected between the gates of the MOS fingers, an ESD detector connected to the switch to turn on the switch upon an ESD event and a gate-modulated circuit connected to the gate of the unused finger to couple a voltage thereto to reduce the triggering voltage of the transistors within the fingers.

Abstract: An LED head is supplied which is able not only to reduce cost but also to improve disintegration efficiency and assembly efficiency. The LED head comprises a SLA holder with electroconductivity which has a insulating cover and supports a rod lens array with convergency; a substrate which is mounted in the SLA holder and is used for installing a LED array chip; a base with electroconductivity used for fixing the substrate at the SLA holder; and a clamp with electroconductivity which presses and contacts the base, wherein the clamp, while mounted onto the SLA holder, scrapes off contact part of the insulating cover.
Abstract: A magnetic separation device, with streamlined construction and heightened rate of magnetic adhesion, has two rotating plates 7, 8 which are fixed to a rotation axis and rotate while immersed in a liquid, and magnets 13 mounted on the rotating plates 7, 8. The magnetic separation device is constructed such that magnetic material in the liquid magnetically adheres to the rotating plates 7, 8 and is separated. Further, the magnetic separation device includes a yoke 14, surrounding and accommodating magnets, and having an aperture facing one of the magnetic poles; the yoke 14 has an aperture side face 14c which is in contact with the rotating plates 7, 8; and the aforementioned magnetic pole is in contact with the rotating plates 7, 8. Pairs of magnets 13 are arranged such that opposite magnetic poles oppose each other across the two rotating plates 7, 8, and a magnetic space is formed between the two magnetic plates 7, 8.
Abstract: A semiconductor device includes a clock input terminal to which external clocks are supplied; a PLL circuit, which is supplied with the external clocks and generate first internal clocks; a logic circuit, which operates in synchronization with the internal clocks; and an internal counter, which counts the first internal clocks when the PLL circuit is tested. The internal counter is provided with an output terminal from which an output signal thereof is supplied to an external circuit.
Abstract: A method of forming a resist pattern on a substrate, comprises the steps of: forming a resist film on the substrate, supplying a developing solution onto the resist film, submerging the substrate and the resist film formed thereon in a rinsing liquid kept in a rinsing tank, and applying ultrasonic vibration to the rinsing liquid to rinse the developing solution from the resist film submerged in the rinsing liquid.

Abstract: An apparatus for testing I/O ports of a computer motherboard. A non-volatile memory on a computer motherboard under test stores a test code instead of a normal BIOS code to initialize the computer motherboard under test and test its I/O ports. The computer motherboard under test is booted from the test code. For the I/O ports to be tested, a CPU on the computer motherboard under test executes test routines in the test code. The apparatus of the invention is connected to the computer motherboard under test so as to cooperate with the test routines in testing the I/O ports. Furthermore, the inventive apparatus includes connectors and test circuits for establishing electrical connections with corresponding pins of the I/O ports to be tested and checking each pin with the test routines.
Abstract: A lead frame type of semiconductor apparatus includes a die pad on which a semiconductor chip is mounted; ground terminals which are to be grounded; power supply terminals which are connected to a power supply; inner leads connected to the ground terminals and power supply terminals, in which a pair of adjacent inner leads for power supply terminal and ground terminal are extended inwardly; a chip capacitor mounting pad which is provided at inner ends of the extended inner leads; and a chip capacitor which is mounted on the chip capacitor mounting pad so that a decoupling capacitor is provided.
Abstract: A layout structure of a decoder with m*n nodes and the method thereof are provided. The nodes comprise a plurality of transistor nodes and a plurality of channel nodes. The manufacturing method of the transistor node comprises forming a gate, a first source/drain region and a second source/drain region. The channel node is fabricated by forming a channel. The channel, the first source/drain region and the second source/drain region are formed at the same time with the same material. The decoder circuit with smaller width is accomplished without additional mask in the invention.

Abstract: A signal adaptor having waterproof capability is provided. A pad is positioned around the conjunctive portion at one end of the tubing element such that when fitting the tubing element and the fastening tube together forming the joint portion of the nut, the pad around the conjunctive portion seals the frontal and rear end of the signal adaptor providing waterproof effect. And the other end of the tubing element is fitted within the positioning tube where tubing element is held and fastened securely.
Abstract: An inkjet apparatus and a method of preventing misplacing the inkjet cartridge therein are disclosed. The inkjet apparatus comprises a carriage, a control unit and a sensor. The carriage is equipped with at least an inkjet cartridge that has an identifiable area. The color of the identifiable area is associated with the colors of ink stored in the inkjet cartridge. The sensor detects the color of the identifiable area and sends a signal to the control unit. The control unit receives the signal and determines whether the inkjet cartridge is correctly placed. If the inkjet cartridge is misplaced, a warning signal is generated to alert the user.
Abstract: In an operational supervisory system for a server, a data registration section (21) registers a character string contained in an HTML document (12) on a server (10) to be operationally supervised. A server supervisory section (22) accesses to the HTML document on the server (10) to be operationally supervised along a schedule of a supervisory time registration section (23) and searches whether or not the character string registered in the data registration section (21) exists in the document. If the character string is not contained in the document, it is judged that the server (10) to be operationally supervised is abnormal, and a result notification section (25) notifies a supervisor notification receiver section (30) of the fact that the abnormality occurs.
Abstract: A sigma-delta modulated discrete time oscillator. The sigma-delta modulated discrete time oscillator comprises a synchronous counter and a sigma-delta modulator. The sigma-delta modulator operating in a first clock receives a control signal to generate a divider pattern output. The control signal provides a DC value for the frequency of the first clock. The divider pattern comprises a plurality of numbers, values of which are synchronous with the rate of the first clock. The synchronous counter operates in a second clock. In the synchronous counter, the second clock is divided by the divider pattern to generate the first clock. The frequency of the second clock is much higher than the frequency of the first clock.
Abstract: A semiconductor circuit has an output circuit, an input circuit and an input protection circuit. The output circuit is connected to a first power supplying terminal and a reference terminal for outputting an output signal. The output circuit has first transistors serially connected between the first terminal and the reference terminal. The input circuit is connected to a second power supplying terminal and the reference terminal. The input circuit has second transistors serially connected between the second terminal and the reference terminal. Each of the first and second transistors has a gate, a source and a drain. In the source and drain, there is a first low resistance region around a contact formed thereon so that a high resistance region is located between the gate and the first low resistance region.
Abstract: A fast start up oscillator. The fast start-up oscillator includes a power-on-reset detect circuit, a bandgap circuit, a voltage detect circuit, a RC-oscillator, and a count two circuit. The fast start-up oscillator is provided with a fast stabilized voltage source to ensure oscillation accurate and quickly such that the system is woken up.
Abstract: A heat dissipation apparatus is described. The heat dissipation apparatus is used in an electrical product, and especially in a notebook computer. The heat dissipation apparatus has two cooling fans, at least one heat pipe, and at least two heat dissipation fins. The first fan sucks cooling air from outside of the electrical product. The heat pipe coupling with a heat source transfers heat generated by the heat source to the heat dissipation fins. The first heat dissipation fin and the first fan remove part of the heat out of the electrical product. The second heat dissipation fin further connects with the heat source and the heat pipe to utilize the second fan to remove part of the heat exhausted by the first fan from the electrical product. The heat dissipation apparatus further comprises a third heat dissipation fin and a second heat pipe. The second heat pipe efficiently transfers the heat to each of the heat dissipation fins.
Abstract: A frame constitutes the main part of a gradually released tension machine, which is a kind of tool for tensioning and releasing cargo binding strips by hand, and which also comprises a ratchet and an operating handle. On the edge of the frame is a locking slot and a loosening slot, and a releasing slot near the loosening slot. The frame also has a slow-release device comprising the releasing slot and a sliding gear which is used in combination with the ratchet of the tension machine and is rotatably fixed in proximity to the releasing slot, such that the tip of the sliding gear overlaps the releasing slot and is substantially even with the teeth of the ratchet. The frame is simple and can be easily manufactured. Utilizing this kind of frame, the releasing effect is much better, and the tension machine has greatly improved reliability and safety.
