  • Patent number: 4862222
Abstract: A process for microfilming and determination and storage of document film position information and evaluation of the data for reproduction of the document from the microfiche. The document specific identification or search data of a document to be filmed is fed into a computer memory, which outputs the memory address location opened in the form of a code to identify the document and reserves additional data storage space under the address. During filming of the document, the position data determined by a coordinate slide of the camera, controlled by a stepping motor on the microfiche, is reproducibly stored in the reserved memory location of the computer under the document specific data. The code associated with the document to be filmed is read by the camera or fed into it and passed to a camera memory. The filming data determined by the camera during filming of the document is correlated with the memory, which contains the identification and search data of the document under the address code.

  • Patent number: 4853690
Abstract: Monitoring a room is accomplished by measurement of air pressure where air passage resistance between a secured room and an outside atmosphere is measured and an alarm actuated, if the air passage resistance drops below a predetermined value. Evaluation of typical air pressure fluctuations in a frequency range between 0.01 Hz and 10 Hz is advantageous. The air pressure resistance may be determined by difference measurements of air pressure fluctuations in the outside atmosphere and the secured room, or as a singular process wherein a connecting tube is provided between the room to be secured and the outside atmosphere, where air movements varying as a function of air pressure fluctuations are measured. Devices for the carrying out of the process are described. The devices and the process provide a simple and cost effective alarm system that operates reliably and is secure against outwitting and sabotage.

  • Patent number: 4824255
Abstract: A drive apparatus useful in screw injection molding apparatus is disclosed. The apparatus is particularly useful when both axial and rotational movements are required because the invention discloses a construction that reduces the wear attributed to sealing gaskets of relatively large diameter which are subjected to rotational stresses and relatively high linear velocities. In the injection molding embodiment described in detail, the extruder screw is rigidly attached to a drive piston that has both axial and rotational movements. Concentric to that drive piston is a drive cylinder tha has only axial movement yet is connected to the drive piston such that the piston is able to rotate freely relative to the cylinder but may move axially only when the cylinder moves. Thus, the sealing gaskets of the drive cylinder are free of rotational stresses which extends the useful life of the sealing gaskets.

  • Patent number: 4820396
Abstract: A rack or transport tool for the printed wire industry which rationalizes its many operations by unifying them through the use of new process tanks all accepting the above same tool. This rack mechanically secures and processes panels, vertically, most already drilled or punched with holes, so that any chemicals, or spray water or pressurized air will have free access to clean or dry or chemically treat these holes and adjacent surfaces which are previously through plated with copper or any wished metal. To accomplish so many diversifyed operations, a change in the work method is necessary. Each panel must be provided with two or more notches on its edges so that the tool will not rely on an apparent clamping force to hole the panels but on the captive ability of these various notches, transversally mating each other to prevent the panels to fall off under the action of pressurized water, air, hydrostatic force, solutions and cathode agitation.

  • Patent number: 4820467
Abstract: A sprue part is cut and removed from the injection mold part during the manufacture of information storage disks by an injection molding process. The highly sensitive molding of an information storage disk is protected from damage by the sprue and the deposition of dust particles during stripping by this process. The sprue is punched into a part serving as the die of the injection molding tool and subsequently removed, in particular by suction, through an orifice leading from inside the part, together with the dust particles generated in the punching process. Preferably, the sprue is punched out and removed with the injection molding tool closed. The injection molding tool must be opened only after the sprue and the dust have already been removed, thus ensuring that the molded product has an especially good quality.
