Abstract: The present invention discloses an energy conserving thermostat for controlling the supply of energy within a commercial or industrial building during unoccupied periods and for providing additional energy to the building when required. The present system includes: a night thermostat for establishing a low temperature necessary for the maintenance of the building during a non-occupancy period; a seven-day timer clock calibrated for every hour of each day, with manually adjustable pins on the clock settable for a time interval within each day during which a normal comfort condition is required; mechanical switch means responsive to such pins of the clock; electrical switch means including a relay energized by operation of the mechanical switch; and an override timer including a time meter and a manually operable switch to increase the time setting for any day wherein an unusual supply of energy is required within a zone of the building. The extra time of such setting is recorded on a time clock meter.

Abstract: An antibacterial oral composition effective to promote oral hygiene containing an antibacterial antiplaque agent and an additive which reduces staining of dental surfaces without substantially diminishing the antibacterial and antiplaque activity of the agent. Bis-biguanido hexanes, such as chlorhexidine and alexidine, and quaternary ammonium salts, such as benzethonium chloride and cetyl pyridinium chloride are typical examples of antibacterial agents. The antistain additive is a copolymer of glutamic acid, tyrosine and optionally alanine.

Abstract: An additive, 0.05% to 5% of phytic acid, a chelator, unlike other chelators such as tartaric acid or ethylene diamine tetra acetic acid, prevents or reduces color fading of from 0.0007% to 0.5% of a water-soluble non-toxic red or yellow monoazo or blue triarylmethane dye-colored visually clear dentrifice containing both alkali metal monofluorophosphate in an amount to provide from 0.01% to 1% of fluorine and from 5% to 50% of a selected siliceous polishing agent having an index of refraction between 1.44 and 1.47, in a liquid vehicle having an index of refraction matching that of said siliceous polishing agent.
Abstract: A card holder comprising a single-piece transparent material having a rear face and folded therefrom and in close proximity thereto a front face; and projecting from the end of one of said faces a section of said transparent material adapted to engage with the body of camera. The projecting section typically may have a hole into which a tripod or camera case screw can be placed or may slide into an accessory shoe or flash attachment shoe.
Abstract: Dental cream having a smooth texture with little tendency to form grain containing calcium carbonate polishing agent and sodium lauryl sulphate surface active agent having a broad distribution of alkyl groups containing 10-18 carbon atoms and as additive which reduces grain and alkali metal pyrophosphate or an anionic phosphate mono- and di-ester mixture.
Abstract: A dentifrice of high viscosity wherein a water-absorbent anionic polyelectrolyte polymer, such as a polyacrylate, having at least one polyvalent cation, such as aluminum, and having a particle size less than about 74 microns, is employed as gelling agent and also effects the principal humectant function of the dentifrice vehicle.
The antistain additive is a peroxydiphosphate salt, preferably tetrapotassium peroxydiphosphate (K.sub.4 P.sub.2 O.sub.8).
