Abstract: Dentifrice composition containing an alkali monofluorophosphate and an alkali metal fluoride and a polishing material which consists essentially of a water-insoluble phosphate salt, at least a major portion of which is an insoluble alkali metal metaphosphate.
Abstract: Dentrifice possessing superior cleaning and polishing characteristics comprising a silicious and calcined alumina abrasive system in an amount to provide an enamel abrasion to the dentrifice of above about 450, (as measured by radioactive method) about 0.1-5% by weight and preferably 1-5% of a calcium, magnesium or sodium salt selected from the group consisting of the carbonates, bicarbonates, chlorides, phosphates, silicates and nitrates, with or without raising the pH of said composition to preferably above about 7, so as to reduce said enamel abrasion thereof.
Abstract: A dental prophylactic paste comprising an abrasive, a humectant, gelatin and optional flavoring and preservative ingredients which possesses improved flowability by which the paste can be poured through a nozzle under low pressure into individual containers as well as improved non-spatterability and cleaning efficiency in use by the dentist.
Abstract: Novel quaternary ammonium compounds which include the adamantane ring system linked to the quaternary ammonium group by a hydrocarbon chain or by other functional groups, such as ether, carboxylic ester, carboxamide, keto, carbamate ester, thiocarbamate ester, etc.
Abstract: Dentifrice containing a compound which provides fluorine, amorphous silica polishing agent and an additive which supplies calcium ions. The dentifrice is compatible with an unlined aluminum container.
Abstract: Oral compositions containing dextranase and a stabilizer/activator selected from the group consisting of manganeous ions, calcium ions, magnesium ions, and mixtures thereof.
Abstract: Oral compositions containing an anticalculus agent selected from the group consisting of Cis, Cis, Cis, Cis-1, 2, 3, 4-cyclopentane tetracarboxylic acid and its alkali metal salts.
Abstract: Oral compositions containing an anticalculus agent selected from the group consisting of 2, 3, 4, 5-tetrahydrofuran tetracarboxylic acid and its alkali metal salts.
Abstract: A novel composition to prevent and control mouth odor, which is also effective in preventing calculus, plaque, caries and periodontal disease containing as the essential agent, a zinc-polymer combination formed by the reaction or interaction of a zinc compound with an anionic polymer containing carboxylic, sulfonic and/or phosphonic acid radicals.
Abstract: An antibacterial oral composition effective to promote oral hygiene containing an antibacterial antiplaque agent and an additive which reduces staining of dental surfaces caused by the antibacterial antiplaque agent without substantially diminishing the antibacterial and antiplaque activity of the agent. Bis-biguanido hexanes, such as chlorhexidine and alexidine, and quaternary ammonium salts, such as benzethonium chloride and cetyl pyridinium chloride, are typical examples of antibacterial agents. The stain reduction additive is a polyamine polyphosphonic compound, such as ethylenediamine tetra(methylene phosphonic acid) and salts thereof.
Abstract: There is disclosed a dentifrice containing as sweetener approximately by weight 0.01 to 10.0% of an alkali or alkaline earth metal salt or free base of 3,4-dihydro-1,2,3-oxathiazin-4-one, as well as dental creams, mouth rinses and chewable tablets derived therefrom.

Abstract: Novel betaine compounds derived from higher alkyl dimethyl carboxylic acid quaternary ammonium compounds; the process of preparing said betaines; and compositions containing an effective antimicrobial amount of said betaines admixed with a pharmaceutical carrier. These compounds are effective in controlling dental plaque without producing an esthetically unacceptable discoloration of tooth surfaces.
Abstract: There is disclosed an oral product containing a new and improved surfactant system that is non-toxic, edible and surprising substantially tasteless.
Abstract: Anti-microbial quaternary ammonium compounds which include the adamantane ring system linked to the quaternary ammonium group by a hydrocarbon chain or by other functional groups, such as ether, carboxylic ester, carboxamide, keto, carbamate ester, thiocarbamate ester, etc.
