Patent number: 4653430Abstract: The chicken coops of this invention are built up of modular parts, the basic element being partitions separating individual cells from one another in which cells egg laying hens are confined. Each such partition has an uppermost edge which extends obliquely relative to one of the vertical edges of the partition and forms an acute angle therewith. The lowermost portion of each partition is wider than the major extension thereof. This outjutting extension serves as support for a conveyor band onto which the eggs roll from the said cells.Type: GrantFiled: April 14, 1986Date of Patent: March 31, 1987Inventors: Nissim Mass, Hanan Zur

Patent number: 4653625Abstract: The temperature-controlled fluid friction clutch, suitable especially for a cooling fan, comprises a rotor which is arranged in a housing, rotatably in relation to the housing, forming at least one shear gap for the viscous fluid transmitting the torque. A scraper conveys the viscous fluid according to the dynamic pressure principle out of a working chamber containing the rotor into a reservoir chamber. The scraper is connected with the housing and lied radially opposite to the external circumference of the rotor, forming a scraper gap. The housing consists of a material the coefficient of thermal expansion of which is greater than that of the material of the rotor. In this way the scraper gap is enlarged with rising temperature, whereby the pump power of the scraper is reduced with rising temperature. The clutch unites good cold-start behavior with low temperature-actuation hysteresis in the operationally hot condition.Type: GrantFiled: May 19, 1986Date of Patent: March 31, 1987Assignee: Fichtel & Sachs AGInventor: Dieter Neugebauer

Patent number: 4651875Abstract: A destructible container is arranged to maintain the components of a multi-component settable mass in separate regions until they are ready to be mixed for anchoring a fastener member in a borehole. The container is made up of an elongated outer cartridge and an inner cartridge positioned within the outer cartridge so that a space for one of the components is formed between the inner cartridge and the outer cartridge. The multi-component mass includes a resin component filled into the outer cartridge and a hardenable component filled into the inner cartridge. The space within the outer cartridge is divided into two separate regions, preferably one following the other in the elongated direction of the outer cartridge. Patent number: 4652179Abstract: A prestressed grouted anchor has a portion of an axially extending prestressed tension member grouted in a receiving material while the remaining portion of the tension member extends from the grouted portion. The remaining portion is separated from the grouted portion at a selected breaking point by reducing the tensile strength of the tension member as the result of exposing it to the action of heat, such as developed in an exothermic chemical reaction. If the tension member is prestressed and the resulting elastic elongation is maintained during the heating action with the elongation being greater than the elongation required under the heating action for effecting the severing of the tension member, then with progressive heat the tensile strength of the tension member is reduced and the elastic elongation progressively changes to plastic elongation with the tension member finally severing automatically at the selected breaking point.Type: GrantFiled: January 10, 1984Date of Patent: March 24, 1987Assignee: Dyckerhoff & Widmann AktiengesellschaftInventors: Konrad Spang, Thomas Herbst, Urs Kellner
