Abstract: A method for controlling an engine having both an electronically controlled inlet device, such as an electronic throttle unite, and an electronically controlled outlet device, such as a variable cam timing system is disclosed. The method of the present invention achieves cylinder air charge control that is faster than possible by using an inlet device alone. In other words, the method of the present invention controls cylinder air charge faster than manifold dynamics by coordination of the inlet and outlet device. This improved control is used to improve various engine control functions.

The cut design is a round brilliant cut comprising a girdle, a crown above the girdle and a pavilion below the girdle. A girdle height (h) is 0.026 to 0.3 times a girdle radius, a pavilion angle (p) of a pavilion main facet ranges from 37.5 degrees to 41 degrees, and a crown angle (c) of a crown main facet is within a range of satisfying: c>?2.8667×p+134.233 and p<¼×{(sin?1(1/n)+sin?1(1/n·sin c))×180/?+180?2c}, wherein n: refraction index of a diamond, ?: circular constant, p: pavilion angle in degrees, and c: crown angle in degrees. The cut design of the ornamental diamond provides an observer with plenty of visual-perceptible reflection when the observer watches the diamond above a table facet with a sight line of an angle less than 20 degrees with a vertical line at the center of the table facet.
Abstract: A vehicle system is disclosed. The system include a engine capable of disabling and enabling at least one cylinder; a motor coupled to said engine capable of absorbing torque and providing torque; and a controller for disabling and enabling said at least one cylinder, and during at least one of disabling and enabling, varying torque of said motor to compensate for transient changes in engine output torque caused by said one of disabling and enabling.

Abstract: A support for supporting at least a part of the human body is provided. In some embodiments, the support may include a support body having a first resistance to deformation and at least one buoyancy cushion having a second resistance to deformation, wherein said buoyancy cushion is substantially disposed at least partially within said support body.
Abstract: A transport device for transporting goods, preferably on pallets or the like, along a transport path has at least two lateral peripheral traction elements (2), especially transport chains. To this end, support elements (3) are fixed, preferably articulated, to the peripheral traction elements (2), the goods to be transported or the pallets being supported on the support elements. The support elements (3) are arranged tightly in a row along the traction element, and especially cover the peripheral traction element (2), each peripheral traction element (2) having its own support element (3).
Abstract: A multi-cylinder group engine system operable in at least a first mode and a second mode, where in the first mode a first and second cylinder group combust air and fuel with a lean air-fuel ratio, and where in the second mode at least one of the first and second cylinder groups combusts air and fuel and the other one of the first and second cylinder groups pumps air without injected fuel, the engine system comprising of a fuel injection activity sensor coupled to each cylinder in the first and second cylinder groups; a exhaust gas sensor disposed in an exhaust passage to measure air fuel exhausted from the engine; and a controller configured to transition out of the first mode responsive to detection of exhaust gas sensor degradation and to transition out of the second mode responsive to detection of fuel injection sensor degradation. In one example, the transition out of the second mode may be slower than the transition out of the first mode in response to the respective degradation.

Abstract: An oscillating weight for an automatic watch is arranged to carry a bearing defining an axis of rotation (A—A) and is intended to be mounted on the frame of the watch. The mass member of the weight has a center of gravity (G) shifted with respect to the axis of rotation. In this weight, this mass member includes two parts that can be moved one (10, 18) in relation to the other (24), and arranged such that their relative movement causes a radial movement of the center of gravity (G) of the mass member. The mass member also has a securing device (13, 14, 16b) cooperating with the first and second parts, capable of occupying a first state in which the parts can be moved with reference to each other, and a second state in which the parts are rigidly secured to each other.
