Abstract: A roof module for a motor vehicle body (3) includes a reinforcing frame (2) and a roof panel (1) that is fastened thereto. The reinforcing frame (2) can be fastened to the motor vehicle body (3) by screw connections (8) and adhesive bonds (5). A roof module, which is both prefabricated with all accessories as well as painted and which can be placed onto the motor vehicle body (3) during final assembly is provided with the reinforcing frame (2) or the roof panel (1) having, on the edge thereof, a folded flange (11), which is shaped so that it has a U-shaped profile (12). An edge strip (10, 13) of the roof panel (1) or of the reinforcing frame (2) engages inside the U-shaped profile (12) and is bonded therein to the reinforcing frame (2) or to the roof panel (1). The roof module is larger in a vertical projection than a roof opening in the motor vehicle body (3).
Abstract: A coin dispensing device is provided that prevents a returning of a first coin to prevent a clink noise. The coin dispensing device has a rotating disk that dispenses coins to a guiding unit one by one. The dispensed coins are guided upwards by the guiding unit in a line. A coin return preventing unit prevents the first coin going backward which is located adjacent to the rotating disk. The first coin dispensed by the rotating disk is prevented from moving backwards.
Abstract: A system and method for operating at least an intake and exhaust valve in a cylinder with a piston of an engine in a vehicle are described. In one aspect, the method comprises maintaining at least one of the intake and exhaust valves in a closed position during a period. Further, during said period where said at least one valve is in said closed position, the method may also include opening the other of the intake and exhaust valve, then closing the other of the intake and exhaust valve, and then opening the other of the intake and exhaust valve.

Abstract: Electronic circuitry and control algorithms are described to automatically establish the output voltage of a linear exhaust gas oxygen sensor (e.g., a UEGO sensor) corresponding to an exhaust air-fuel ratio of stoichiometry. The apparatus and control logic herein described may be used to adaptively correct the setpoint of an air-fuel ratio control system in which a UEGO sensor is used in a feedback loop to adjust the fuel injection quantity of an internal combustion engine.

Abstract: A phototherapy apparatus for the treatment of psoriasis which includes a dielectric-discharge excimer lamp 32, which is equipped with a reflector 34 and optical system 36 for ensuring a substantially uniform density of energy, is mounted on a maneuverable arm 40. The arm 40 is mounted to a stand 24. An electronic control unit 20 and a radiofrequency power supply unit 22 are connected to the lamp 32. A pipe of a cooling circuit 9 is connected to the lamp 32 via the arm 40. The pipe 9 connects to an air-liquid exchanger 3 with a de-ionizer having a temperature sensor 5 and a sensor 7. The sensors 5, 7 and 10 are connected to a microcontroller 12, which is connected to an operating panel 14 and to a display 16 and a printer 18. A hardware container 26 is provided on the stand to hold the radiofrequency power supply unit 22, the printer 28, the microcontroller 12, the control panel 30, and the air-liquid exchanger 3.
Abstract: A system and method of removing an electrolyte from energy storage and conversion devices using a supercritical fluid are provided. The method includes placing a selected device in a container, adding a fluid to the container, adjusting at least one of a temperature and a pressure of the fluid in the container to form the supercritical fluid from the fluid in the container, exposing the supercritical fluid to the electrolyte, and removing the supercritical fluid from the container, wherein removal of the supercritical fluid causes removal of the electrolyte from the container.
Abstract: A bush-type rubber mount is provided, preferably a hydraulically damping rubber mount, with a, preferably tubular, metallic inner part, an elastomeric mount body surrounding the inner part and connected to it by vulcanization. An outer sleeve accommodates the inner part. The inner part has, in an axial section, two radially outwardly extending elevations located opposite each other on its circumference and are completely embedded in the elastomer. Two elastomer recesses extend in a kidney-shaped pattern in relation to the circumference of the mount body between the elevations and pass axially through the mount body. The two elastomer recesses are arranged in the elastomeric mount body near the inner part, so that the inner part standing free in relation to the outer sleeve in the area of the kidneys is connected to the mount body essentially only via the elevations on the mount body. A defined cardanic axis extending through the apices of the elevations is formed at right angles to the axis of the mount.
