Abstract: Device for the catalytic cleaning of or soot removal from exhaust gases of internal combustion engines, comprising a housing that has two open end zones connected to an exhaust gas line and a flow passage for the exhaust gases between the end zones. Two flow-carrying exhaust gas treating bodies are held in housing one behind another in the direction of flow and at spaced locations from one another. A protective ring, is provided surrounding the space between the two exhaust gas treating bodies on the outside. The protective ring is held in the housing in a form-fit manner in the axial direction by a holding member surrounding it on the outside. An axial clearance is provided between the protective ring and at least of the two exhaust gas treating bodies in the installed state.

Abstract: A screw type valve for the delivery of water in hydrosanitary installations with superimposed ceramic sealing disks, a fixed one (13) and a rotating one (15). The valve also comprises a sleeve (11) fitted into an externally threaded ring (10) and with a bottom ring (12) bearing the fixed ceramic disk (13), a driving spindle (14) with said movable ceramic disk (15) on its bottom rotating inside said sleeve, while on its top end a control handle is fitted, said sleeve, ring and spindle being made of a plastic material, while the threaded ring is made of metal to allow a safe installation of the valve.
Abstract: An ultrasonic iron comprises a metal ironing plate fixedly mounted therein, ultrasonic vibrators and amplitude amplifiers, and a power adjusting circuit provided on suitable inner side thereof, so that the power adjusting circuit is capable of driving the ultrasonic vibrator as to resonate the ironing plate with a high frequency as soon as the ultrasonic iron is switched on. Heat energy is thereby quickly and directly produced between the contact surface of the ironing plate and the clothes when the ultrasonic iron is moved on the clothes back and forth. The heat energy required for the pressing of clothes is available immediately upon the onset of operation of the iron.
Abstract: A continuous track-mounted, self-propelled continuously operating open-cast mining machine having a drum-shaped mining device with cutting tools arranged around the circumference of the drum. The cutting drum is equipped with cutting teeth which can cut in both directions and the mined material is guided into the interior of the cutting drum, with the cutter bars being arranged in a substantially axial pattern on the circumference of the drum. The teeth holders are arranged on the cutter bars and carry teeth and the teeth holders with the teeth are pivotable about an axis in such a way that the teeth pointing in the directin of rotation of the drum pivot automatically into the cutting position as they engage in the material to be extracted, while the teeth pointing in the opposite direction are simultaneously pivoted out of the clearance angle zone of the teeth doing the actual cutting.
Abstract: To improve the corrosion protection at the connection site of the sealing cuff and the ball pivot, it is proposed, in a design in which the sealing cuff engages with an edge profile in a complementary profile of a retaining ring rigidly attached to the ball pivot, that at least the part (12) of the retaining ring (10) which is supported by the edge of the bearing lug (6) consists of a material whose value in the electrochemical series is lower than that of the material of the bearing lug (6) and of the ball pivot (2). By this construction the material of the retaining ring acts as an electrolytic sacrificial anode.
Abstract: Dressed materials for interior finish, the base material being wood, metal, resin, paper or glass, having a mixed pattern on the surface formed by a mixture of undercoating of water paint, or a mixture of water paint and oil paint, and overcoating having a nature different from that of the undercoating. Dressed materials resembling natural materials having a natural feeling of taste and pattern such as, marbling, a pattern of granite or the like are obtained.
Abstract: A process for determination of one component of very low concentration in a test gas, which is guided in a supply line for concentration of the component across a sample collector, whose amassed quantity of samples is relinquished to a detection sensor. The arrangement makes available a measurement signal even during the collection of the sample. It also makes even the individual components of a multicomponent test gas detectable and a component-specific cross sensitivity of the detection sensor controllable. For this, the following process steps are provided: the test gas is first guided across the detection sensor 3 and then across the multistaged sample collector 7 having arrangements for separation of the several components; then after interruption of the supply of test gas, each individual stage 4, 5 and 6 separately relinquishes its separated component to the detection sensor 3.
Abstract: The paper folding machine is provided with a roller pair (T1,T2) which forms an intake zone (E) and determines the velocity of feed of the material to be folded, and with at least one pair of folding rollers (W1,W2,W3), which forms a folding zone (F1) and is parallel to the former pair of rollers. A stopless feed limiting device, which determines the actual folding length and can be actuated individually for each folding operation by a microprocessor and/or an electronic control circuit as a function of a feed measuring unit, is arranged in a material feed path (4) which extends past the folding zone (F1,F2).

Abstract: The present invention pertains to a device for cooling testing tubes during sampling by evaporating a liquid. The cooling device causes a controlled cooling effect that is practically independent of the state of the ambient air during the sampling and is easy to handle. Abstract: A zoned heating and cooling system is controlled by a switching panel with a controlling thermostat in a first zone, and an additional thermostat in each additional zone. A switching element corresponding to each first and additional zone, a switching element to control the mode in which the system operates, and a fan switching element work in conjunction with the thermostats to: turn on system heating or cooling equipment; open dampers to provide conditioned air to those zones which call for heating or cooling; close dampers to block conditioned air from entering the zones which do not call for heating or cooling, when other zones do call; open all dampers when there is no calling; and provide for the manual or automatic control of a system fan.
Abstract: The present invention pertains to a bogie for high-speed railborne vehicles, in which the wheel sets are guided on the bogie frame by double leaf spring wheel forks. Stable, quiet straight travel of the bogie over straight sections at top speeds and radial adjustment of the wheel sets in rail bends at low tracking forces is achieved by arranging a a roll stabilizer damping the horizontal longitudinal movements between the axle bearing and the bogie frame between the leaf spring wheel forks of each double leaf spring wheel fork.

Abstract: A reversible printing unit is equipped with a central distributing roller (9), with which a first transfer cylinder (8) and a second transfer cylinder (12) can be engaged or disengaged independently from one another. A respective dampening mechanism (10) and (24) is associated with each of the transfer cylinders (8) and (12). Depending on the direction of rotation or the mode of operation of the printing unit, the transfer cylinders (8) or (12) and the rollers following them act as dampening rollers or inking rollers. Modes of operation with indirect dampening, pre-inking of the inking mechanism with feed of dampening agent, and rapid and thorough washing of the rollers of the inking and dampening mechanism are also possible due to the independent adjustment of the respective transfer cylinders (8) and (12).

Abstract: A plastic welding machine for producing connection seams with thermal plastic foil or thermal plastic film. The folding device includes a fix support plate and a folding plate which is provided with a U-shaped guide stop and can be pivoted back and forth between a feed position and a working position. Folding device can be folded open for introducing the edge strip of the material to be welded and then folded up where the edge strip is folded over in the shape of a U. A flat U-shaped guide sleeve is provided which may be pivoted into the folding device to produce lap joints on the two layers of the material to be welded.
Abstract: With a fluid fuel driven standard heating for motor vehicles, whose combustion chambers are equipped as vaporizer burners, a heater plug with open heater coils up to now would be installed in the usual way. What is disadvantageous for the operation, particularly in the starting, is the voltage dependence of such a heater plug. Also, with time an increasing carbonization would be established. According to the invention the vaporizing of the liquid fuel occurs under a seal by the use of a rod heater plug. The ignition can--independent of voltage--occur with the help of a spark plug (high voltage electrode). In a construction design the vaporizer is developed as a heat pipe, in which the rod heater plug is arranged.
Abstract: The invention concerns a coated-core press for making coated tablets. In prior art coated-core presses, the problem arises of centering the cores exactly in the powder undercoating in the matrix, particularly when the matrix table is rotating at high speed. In order to solve this problem, a device for picking up and transferring the cores (9) is arranged on the lower side of the vertically adjustable core die (31) and comprises gripping devices which pick up the cores in the pick-up station (60) and press them into the center of the underlayer of powder material formed inside the corresponding matrix (3).
