Abstract: The present invention provides a silk fibroin-based hydrogel and antibiotic composition consists of 5% silk fibroin embedded with 0.4-2% antibiotic, more specifically, tetracycline or doxycycline, and the antibiotic used to prepare the silk fibroin-based hydrogel is super saturated solution, i.e., 100% concentration of antibiotic in de-ionized water. The invention also provides a method to prepare silk fibroin-based hydrogel and antibiotic composition comprising steps of: preparing 5% silk fibroin solution and maintaining at 16-21° C.; adding saturated antibiotic solution in the silk fibroin solution to form silk fibroin-based hydrogel; stabilizing the hydrogel at 16-21° C.; and lyophilising the stabilized hydrogel at 4-6° C. to form a dry hydrogel silk fibroin matrix with drug embedded in it. Further, the invention provides composition of the drug-silk fibroin-based hydrogel formulation and method for using it for wound healing of tooth extraction socket.
Abstract: This disclosure provides HIV immunogens and use thereof for generating an immune response in a subject. Also disclosed is a method of isolating anti-HIV antibodies and use thereof. This disclosure further provides a method for treating or preventing a human immunodeficiency type 1 (HIV-1) infection in a subject using the disclosed HIV immunogens and/or antibodies.

Abstract: Golf club fitting systems can include a golf club head along with multiple alternative adjustment sleeves that each mate with the club head to modify loft and lie angles. Each adjustment sleeve can include a first portion having a respective longitudinal axis and configured to mate and coaxially align with a hosel of the golf club head, and a second portion having a respective longitudinal axis angularly offset from the longitudinal axis of the first portion and configured to mate and coaxially align with a golf club shaft. Each different adjustment sleeve can be configured to alter a position of the golf club head relative to a golf club shaft by a different adjustment value relative to each other. Abstract: A method of determining a position for a virtual object is described. A location of a client device is determined, and, based on the determined location a set of map segments is retrieved. A virtual object is determined to be displayed on the client device. Relation vectors between the virtual object and each map segment of the retrieved set of map segments are obtained. Each relation vector is weighted based on object parameters of the virtual object. A position to display the virtual object is determined based on the weighted relation vectors. Abstract: In biosciences and related fields, it can be useful to study cells in isolation so that cells having unique and desirable properties can be identified within a heterogenous mixture of cells. Processes and methods disclosed herein provide for encapsulating cells within a microfluidic device and assaying the encapsulated cells. Encapsulation can, among othere benefits, facilitate analyses of cells that generate secretions of interest which would otherwise rapidly diffuse away or mix with the secretions of other cells.

Abstract: An adjustable chair can support an occupant that sits on a front portion of a seat cushion. When the user leans back, the chair can provide back support without requiring that the user slide rearwardly along the seat cushion, thereby providing back support to minimize, limit, or substantially eliminate lower back fatigue, discomfort, or the like. A back support of the chair can be located at a desired forward/rearward position based on the user's position on the seat. In some settings, the chair can be used by a card dealer who tends to sit on a forward portion of the seat when dealing cards. The back support can be positioned to comfortably support the dealer's back when, for example, the dealer sits generally upright. The chair can also be used by other individuals that frequently sit on the front of the seat cushion.

Abstract: A booster seat organizer stand adapted to accommodate a plurality of children's booster seats in a stacked vertical orientation is disclosed. The stand features a flat base with raised walls forming a cavity to securely hold the booster seats. A vertical back panel extends from the rear edge of the base to provide additional support and a pair of side panels extend from side edges of the back panel and has wavy contours to offer lateral stability to the stacked booster seats. Abstract: The present disclosure discloses a cloak bracket for rear bucket of pickup truck including fixed crossbars that are symmetrically provided on a left inner side and a right inner side of the rear bucket.
