Abstract: A yellow silver sol containing a binder is concentrated by flocculation in the presence of a calcium-free gelatin, a water-soluble chloride being added to the flocculation and/or after the redispersion.
Abstract: Color prints are prepared in the form of retained images by the dye diffusion transfer process using a photographic recording material comprising in that order a transparent layer support, a light-sensitive element containing at least one silver halide emulsion layer and a non-diffusing color-providing compound associated thereto, a light-reflecting opaque layer and a mordant layer. The recording material is subjected to imagewise exposure through the transparent layer support. During development a colored moiety is released from the color-providing compound in imagewise distribution and transferred to the mordant layer. Silver and silver halide is removed by bleaching and fixing. The colored color-providing compounds retained in the light-sensitive element in imagewise distribution complementary to the transferred colored moiety form the color image visible through the transparent layer support against the light-reflecting background of the opaque layer.

Abstract: Process for the production of a planographic printing plate by means of the silver complex diffusion transfer reversal process comprising the steps of:image-wise photo-exposing a silver halide emulsion layer; developing the resultant latent image in the presence of a silver halide complexing agent and contacting the exposed silver halide emulsion layer with an anodized aluminium platecharacterized in that the thickness of the anodized surface layer is in the range of 0.50 to 2.00 .mu.m, the anodized plate before contact of the same with the emulsion has been hydration-sealed in the temperature range of 60.degree.-80.degree. C., and the development of the light-sensitive material is carried out with a developing composition having a pH of at least 12, and containing:dissolved sulphite, dissolved thiosulphate, anda mixture of hydroquinone and at least one secondary developing agent of the class of 1-phenyl-3-pyrazolidinones and p-N-methylaminophenol.

Abstract: A conveying arrangement in a developing apparatus for photographic material has pairs of conveying rollers as well as guiding and/or deflecting sheets which extend between two opposite sidewalls. Fastening elements are provided on both sidewalls and are adapted to hold the ends of a guiding and/or deflecting sheet against movement in all directions except for an unlocking direction. A removable, deformable locking element is further provided and is adapted to prevent movement of the sheets in the unlocking direction. The fastening element for a guiding and/or deflecting sheet includes a cutout in each of the sidewalls and a positioning pin in at least one of the cutouts. The positioning pin cooperates with an opening in the corresponding guiding and/or deflecting sheet.

Abstract: A transporting device for advancing photosensitive material through a processing bath has an upper portion and a lower portion. The upper portion has an inlet region via which the photosensitive material is introduced into the bath and an outlet region via which the photosensitive material is withdrawn from the bath. The inlet and outlet regions are located above the level of the bath. The inlet region has a pair of directing rollers which convey and guide the photosensitive material to the lower portion of the transporting device while the outlet region similarly has a pair of directing rollers which convey and guide the photosensitive material away from the lower portion. The lower portion of the transporting device has several sets of transporting rollers which advance the photosensitive material through the bath. The upper and lower portions of the transporting device are designed as separable units.

Abstract: A ventilating device for a shaping tool having a shaping cavity, has a gas permeable member communicating with the cavity, a supporting member arranged to support the gas permeable member and having a plurality of ventilating openings which communicate with the cavity through the gas permeable member, on the one hand, and with a suction chamber through which a flushing liquid passes, on the other hand.
Abstract: An exposed color film having an exposed zone is provided with color areas prior to developing the same by exposing this unexposed zone to light passing through different narrow-band filters. After developing the film, the transmissivities of each of the color areas within a pair of narrow-band ranges is measured. The measured values are compared with known values for various types of film to establish the type of the particular color film. This information is used to adjust the exposures in the different colors when the images on the color film are copied onto a photographic copying material.
Abstract: Propyne compounds, which are capable of stabilizing photographic materials against color fog and flattening of the gradation are disclosed. They may be added to emulsion layers and to processing baths.
