Abstract: A photographic camera with automatic setting of diaphragm and exposure time. A light sensitive circuit generates pulses and is connected to a diaphragm counting stage for comparing signals from the light sensitive circuit with preset signals in the diaphragm counting stage and for providing a stop pulse to an electromagnetic diaphragm setting stage. A counter is connected to a pulse generator and to the diaphragm counting stage in a stop control connection. A start control provision connects the output of the diaphragm counting stage to an exposure time forming stage. The exposure time forming stage can be connected to the counter for providing automatic setting of the time determining part of the exposure time forming stage depending on the counting state of the counter. A shutter opening member can be connected to the diaphragm counting stage for receiving a control signal for the release part of the shutter opening member.

Abstract: A process for the production of a multi-color dye image by dye diffusion transfer operating with a photographic multilayer multi-color material containing different non-diffusing dyes or dye precursor compounds that when contacted with an aqueous alkaline liquid remain immobile in an alkali-permeable colloid layer but are capable of being reduced by a developing agent at a rate slower than the reduction of image-wise developable silver halide and in reduced state under alkaline conditions are capable of releasing a diffusible dye or dye precursor moiety, and wherein as illustrated in the drawing dye images with higher color saturation are obtained by more extensive oxidation of developing agent in the image-wise photo-exposed area due to the use in the alkaline processing liquid of a silver halide solvent forming an alkali-soluble and reducible silver complex compound.
Abstract: A film cassette for multi-exposure film strips has a body part with an inner compartment for a film strip and at least one opening for passage of the film strip therethrough between an initial position before exposure and a final position after exposure, and elements for preventing unintentional withdrawal of the film strip from the body part in at least one of these positions, the preventing elements arranged between the body part and the film strip. The preventing elements can be arranged so that they prevent unintentional withdrawal of the film strip in both positions. The preventing elements include a recess provided in one of the film strip and the body part, and a projection provided in the other of the film strip and the body part and engageable in the recess.

Abstract: A sheet receiving and storage apparatus comprises a housing and an open-bottomed magazine releasably connected therewith for collecting sheets introduced therein through its open bottom. The sheets after being partially introduced into the magazine are intercepted along their lower edges by a support located below the entrance opening of the magazine. When a predetermined amount of sheets are stacked thereon the support and sheet stack are bodily raised, so that the stack of sheets moves entirely into the magazine. The sheet stack is then retained in the magazine with the help of a stack retaining element, after which the support is lowered and a light-trap associated with the magazine is actuated to light-tightly close the magazine. Then, the magazine may be taken out of the apparatus.

Abstract: Recording material suitable for use in laser beam recording characterized in that said material comprises on the same side of a laser radiation-reflective support, including a support with laser radiation reflecting layer, two superimposed adjacent recording layers which can undergo on exposure instantly produced optical density changes responsive to irradiation with laser beams of different wavelength, the compositions of said layers being such that they have different radiation-sensitive characteristics permitting information-wise recording to take place in one layer without changing the optical density of the other layer to such a degree that laser beam read out of optical density information in one layer becomes impossible upon using laser beams of different wavelength for each recording layer.
Abstract: For the production of light-fast yellow images (transfer images and retained images) by the dye diffusion transfer process dye-releasers are useful which on development release diffusible azo dyes which can complex with nickel or copper ions and which in one of their tautomeric forms correspond to the general formula: ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 represents alkyl, alkenyl or cycloalkyl having up to 8 carbon atoms,Z represents a radical required for completing a benzene or naphthalene ring; andL represents a substituent having a group which results from the splitting from a carrier radical.

Abstract: A roller for transport and/or guidance of flexible webs or sheets of radiation-sensitive material has a grounded shaft and an antistatic cylindrical member which is coaxial with and surrounds the shaft and has a web- or sheet-contacting cylindrical peripheral surface. The cylindrical member consists of hard polyvinyl chloride, fine crystalline polyamide, polypropylene, polyethylene or a mixture of two or more such plastic materials. Pulverized silver or another pulverulent metal is embedded in the material of the cylindrical member. If the roller is rather long, the cylindrical member surrounds a hollow cylindrical metallic core whose end portions confine inserts which surround the respective end portions of the shaft.
Abstract: A copier has a movable housing which accommodates a support for an original to be copied, a source of illumination for the original, a lens system for forming an image of the original and a support for photosensitive material which is to receive the image. The housing has an opening in one of its sides and carries a hinged lid for lighttight sealing of the opening. A reflector is pivotally mounted inside the housing in the vicinity of the opening and can be moved between an operative position in which it intercepts the image from the lens system and an inoperative position in which it does not. When an image of normal size is required, the reflector is in its inoperative position and the image is projected onto the photosensitive material located inside the housing. When an image of large size is required, the reflector is brought into its operative position and the opening in the housing is uncovered.

Abstract: The container for a stack of photographic sheets comprises spring means for biasing the sheet stack away from the bottom wall of the container and against retaining means at the front of the container, which comprises a peripheral flange or lip entering over only marginal portions of the front sheet so that the latter can be photographically exposed to a light-image while in the container. The lip is interrupted at opposed regions to permit the sheet to buckle when subjected to buckling forces preparatory to removal of the sheet from the container. Detent means are provided on the inner face of the retaining lip adjacent a pair of corners to prevent the buckled sheet from returning to its original flat condition.

Abstract: Colored images consisting of metal-complexed azomethine dyes are prepared by chromogenic development of silver halide photographic recording materials in the presence of color couplers. The color developers contain a grouping capable of metal chelate formation adjacent to the primary amino group. The azomethine dyes are transferred into the corresponding azomethine dye/metal complexes. The complex formation is accompanied by shift of color hue and increase of light stability.
