  • Patent number: 10730505
Abstract: A hybrid electric vehicle includes an intelligent vehicle controller, an electric motor, a battery, an internal combustion engine (ICE), and an electrical generator coupled to the ICE configured to provide electricity to the battery and the electric motor. The intelligent vehicle controller receives ICE power level shifting data from the electrical generator, ICE, battery, and electric motor. The intelligent vehicle controller determines a desirable torque and/or a desirable revolutions per minute (RPM) for the ICE based on the received ICE power level shifting data by utilizing an efficiency map that includes fuel efficiency contours and noise, vibration, and/or harshness (NVH) level lines for the hybrid electric vehicle. The intelligent vehicle controller may have first and second vehicle operation modes, and may derive first and a second desirable power levels for the ICE in the first and second operation modes, based on the ICE power level shifting data.

  • Patent number: 10735194
Abstract: Disclosed are systems, methods, and non-transitory computer-readable media for consuming, transforming and generating verified data sets. A verified data management system receives, from a client device, a request to generate a verified data set, and in response, accesses available verified data for a user associated with the client device. The verified data management system causes presentation of a listing of the available verified data on the client device and receives a selection of a subset of the available verified data to be included in the verified data set. The verified data management system generates the verified data set based on the subset of the available verified data and generates a unique identifier for the verified data set. The verified data management system provides the unique identifier to the client device, thereby enabling access of the verified data set.

  • Patent number: 10735739
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatuses may encode a media content item based on metadata from previous encoding. The encoding may also generate encoding metadata, which may comprise a qualitative or quantitative characterization of the encoded media content item. A prediction engine may, based on this metadata, determine new encoding settings for the same or a different video resolution. The prediction engine may cause an encoded media content item to be stored and may cause encoding of the media content item using the new encoding settings.

  • Patent number: 10730236
Abstract: An additive manufacturing system is capable of extruding poly-fiber strand having a fiber core coated with a polymer with a high range of flexibility in positioning and orienting extruded fibers. Extruded fibers may be laid in a single direction, or may curve or turn to be laid in multiple directions. Structures of devices and components may be created using interconnected extruded strands having interstitial spaces between and around the strands. This structure may be infused with resin or polymer using a pressure or vacuum based infusion system. In this manner, durable polymeric objects can be created without requiring expensive molds. Other techniques are also possible, including varying the types of strands used in an object to create areas of the object that will preferentially twist or flex in certain ways or directions, as well as producing objects with zones having different types of resin or no resin.

  • Patent number: 10730260
Abstract: A preformed web and a method of producing dunnage units from the preformed web. The web is an elongate flattened thermoplastic tube having an inflation edge and an opposite edge. The tube includes spaced transverse seals that define sides of pouches. The tube includes lines of perforations that allow adjacent dunnage units to be separated. A starting point of the lines of perforations is spaced apart from the inflation edge. The positions of the starting point of the lines of perforations with respect to the inflation edge is selected such that a cutter that cuts the inflation edge clears the line of perforations. Binding or wrinkling is therefore not caused by engagement of the cutter with the lines of perforations.

  • Patent number: 10734087
Abstract: Methods, systems and computer-readable storage media for determining a new optimal read threshold voltage associated with a group of pages of non-volatile memory. It is determined whether the current optimal read threshold voltage associated with the group of pages is out of tolerance based at least in part on a retention drift history associated with the group of pages. Upon determining that the current optimal read threshold voltage is out of tolerance, reference cells associated with the group of pages are written with a pattern having a known statistical distribution of ones and zeroes. The new optimal read threshold voltage associated with the group of pages is determined by reading the reference cells, and the retention drift history associated with the group of pages is updated with the new optimal read threshold voltage and an indication of a new reference cell generation.

  • Patent number: 10733231
Abstract: A system and method for modeling and distributing image data of interest to users is disclosed. Users on user devices such as mobile phones send request messages for image data captured by surveillance cameras of the system. The request messages include information for selecting the image data, such as camera number and time of recording of the image data, in examples. In response, an application server of the system collects the image data from the surveillance cameras, and supplies image data to the users based on a model that the application server creates and updates for each of the users. The model ranks image data of potential interest for each of the users, where the model is based on the information for selecting the image data provided by the users. Preferably, a machine learning application of the application server creates the model for each of the users.

  • Patent number: 10735851
Abstract: An Acoustic meta material (AMM) device for passive amplification of sound is described. The AMM amplifier device employs a deep sub-wavelength resonator design with high refraction index, which uses resonant amplification of the bass sound. An array of sub wavelength, single frequency channels are used, each resonating and amplifying at a different frequency in the bass frequency range. This is accomplished by having many different channels, each with an opening extending in a same, common, or substantially common direction. Thus, sound emanating from a speaker in a first direction continues in this direction until reaching and entering the openings of the plurality of channels. The sound from the speaker is in all transmitted frequencies of, for example, a musical recording or the like. However, only a specific frequency and/or harmonics thereof are substantially propagated through each channel.

  • Patent number: 10733779
Abstract: Representative embodiments disclose mechanisms for presenting content into a virtual reality or augmented reality (VR/AR) system in a manner that does not distract the user from their primary workflow in the VR/AR system. The system monitors a user's workflow in a virtual reality or augmented reality (VR/AR) system. Based on the user's workflow, the user's emotional state, and other data, the system selects one or more bots to inject into the user's workflow. The bots provide content and functional extensibility for the system and/or the VR/AR system. Content from the selected bot(s) is identified and placed in a location that is in the periphery of the user at a low rendering fidelity. If the user shows interest in the content, the fidelity of the content is increased until the user can interact with the content, using the functionality provided by the bot.
