  • Patent number: 11881492
Abstract: Transistor structures for a transistor may include a first source-drain region, a second source-drain region, and a channel region between the first and second source-drain regions overlapped by a gate structure. Transistor structures may be formed in a well of a first doping type. Isolation structures having the first doping type may be formed within the well. A lightly doped implant region of a second doping type for each of the source-drain regions may be formed within the well and separated from the isolation structures. A heavily doped surface implant region of the first doping type may extend across the surface of the well and cover the lightly doped implant region of each source-drain region. The surface implant region may be formed by patterning or by a blanket implantation process across the transistor structures.

  • Patent number: 11881141
Abstract: Dynamic refresh rate (DRR) switching is used to dynamically update a refresh rate of content presented on an interface. When a first application and a second application are presented on a user interface at a first refresh rate; a request may be received to temporarily boost the first refresh rate to a second, higher, refresh rate. DRR switching is initiated as the first refresh rate is temporarily boosted to a second refresh rate. Applications that are opted in to the second refresh rate receive signals to refresh content at the second refresh rate, while applications that are not opted in to the second refresh rate receive signals to refresh content at a virtualized refresh rate that matches the first refresh rate. Thus, the first application refreshes content at the first refresh rate and the second application refreshes content at the second, higher refresh rate, providing a smooth user experience without unnecessarily utilizing power consumption.

  • Patent number: 11879484
Abstract: An actuator system includes a piston-cylinder arrangement including a piston that is movable with respect to a cylinder. A first flow path is in fluid communication with the piston-cylinder arrangement and a second flow path is in fluid communication with the piston-cylinder arrangement. A control system is operable to fluidly connect the first flow path to a source of high-pressure fluid and to connect the second flow path to a drain to move the piston in a first direction. A pressure sensor is fluidly connected to the first flow path and is operable to measure sufficient pressure data during the movement of the piston to generate a pressure versus time curve. The control system is operable to compare the generated pressure versus time curve to a known standard pressure versus time curve stored in the control system to determine the condition of the piston-cylinder arrangement.

  • Patent number: 11880200
Abstract: The technology relates to an exterior sensor system for a vehicle configured to operate in an autonomous driving mode. The technology includes a close-in sensing (CIS) camera system to address blind spots around the vehicle. The CIS system is used to detect objects within a few meters of the vehicle. Based on object classification, the system is able to make real-time driving decisions. Classification is enhanced by employing cameras in conjunction with lidar sensors. The specific arrangement of multiple sensors in a single sensor housing is also important to object detection and classification. Thus, the positioning of the sensors and support components are selected to avoid occlusion and to otherwise prevent interference between the various sensor housing elements.

  • Patent number: 11880476
Abstract: Systems and methods for backing up data are provided. Data objects or blocks of data can be encrypted with individualized keys. The keys are generated from the unencrypted data objects or blocks. The encrypted data objects or blocks and fingerprints of the encrypted data objects or blocks can be uploaded to a datacenter. Even though the data objects or blocks are encrypted, deduplication can be performed by the datacenter or before the data object is uploaded to the datacenter. In addition, access can be controlled by encrypting the key used to encrypt the data object with access keys to generate one or more access codes. The key to decrypt the encrypted data object is obtained by decrypting the access code.

  • Patent number: 11879208
Abstract: Control and stabilizing cables and tendons for high altitude aircraft and airships having lightweight, high strength and low CTE are disclosed, along with a method and machine for fabrication of same. The cable is comprised of a fiber prepreg tow encased in a polymer sleeve with one bobbin at each end to facilitate connections. Consolidating the fiber prepreg tow along the length of the cable using high temperature shrink tubing, such as polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF), allows for eliminating the twisting of the fiber prepreg tow, thus reducing the number of wraps around the bobbins. Eliminating the twists in the fiber prepreg tow also reduces the length of fiber needed, and therefore the overall change in length of the control cable with temperature variations is reduced. Additional cable strength can be achieved by adding and holding significant tension on the fiber prepreg tow by applying weight during the curing process.

  • Patent number: 11881542
Abstract: A first conversion layer material is formed on unmasked pixel areas of a substrate. Mask material is selectively removed from a second set of pixel areas, leaving a third set of pixel areas masked. A coating is formed on sidewalls of the second pixel areas, and then a second conversion layer material is formed on the second pixel areas and against their sidewalls. Mask material is removed from the third pixel areas, a coating is formed on sidewalls of the third pixel areas, and a third conversion layer material is formed on the third pixel areas and against their sidewalls. The resulting wavelength-conversion layer includes contiguously arranged regions of the first, second, and third conversion layer materials, at least two of which are wavelength-converting phosphor materials. The sidewall coatings between the regions act as barriers to lateral light transmission.
