Abstract: Methods and systems to activate beams for beam switching based on measurements of a downlink reference signal that is QCL Type-D with a downlink pathloss reference signal are disclosed. A UE may measure and report to a base station the RSRP of the reference signal that is QCL Type-D with a target downlink pathloss reference signal. Based on the reported RSRP measurements, the base station may activate the target pathloss reference signal to command the UE to update the pathloss measurements of the target pathloss reference signal for uplink power control of a beam corresponding to the target pathloss reference signal. The UE may determine whether the target pathloss reference signal is considered known for uplink power control based on the timing relationship among the reception of the reference signal from the base station, the transmission of the RSRP measurement of the reference signal, and reception of the activation command.

Abstract: In some embodiments, an electronic device emphasizes and/or deemphasizes user interfaces based on the gaze of a user. In some embodiments, an electronic device defines levels of immersion for different user interfaces independently of one another. In some embodiments, an electronic device resumes display of a user interface at a previously-displayed level of immersion after (e.g., temporarily) reducing the level of immersion associated with the user interface. In some embodiments, an electronic device allows objects, people, and/or portions of an environment to be visible through a user interface displayed by the electronic device. In some embodiments, an electronic device reduces the level of immersion associated with a user interface based on characteristics of the electronic device and/or physical environment of the electronic device.

Abstract: This disclosure relates to techniques for selecting a low power measurement mode (LPM mode). A wireless device may enter an idle mode, determine that it is stationary, and enter an LPM mode. In the LPM mode, the wireless device may perform cell measurements at a reduced frequency.
Abstract: A first electronic device with one or more processors, memory, one or more cameras, and a display generation component captures, with the one or more cameras, an image of a second electronic device that includes position information displayed via a display generation component of the second electronic device. The position information indicates a location of the second electronic device within an augmented reality environment that includes a physical environment in which the first electronic device and the second electronic device are located. The first electronic device, after capturing the image of the second electronic device that includes the position information, displays, via the display generation component of the first electronic device, one or more virtual objects within the augmented reality (AR) environment using the position information captured from the second electronic device.

Abstract: A motion control system that can detect a change in a an operating characteristic and send a stabilizing command to an actuator system based on the change is described. A motion control component in the system includes a first component with an electropermanent magnet having a coil, differing first and second permanent magnet materials, and differing first and second states. The motion control component includes a second component configured to magnetically interact with the first component to define a damping characteristic that affects motion between the first component and the second component and a controller configured to supply a current pulse to the electropermanent magnet to switch the electropermanent magnet between the first and second states. The electropermanent magnet retains the respective first or second state after cessation of the current pulse.

Abstract: Systems and methods of handover in an information-centric network are described. The ICN-CF receives an update request from an ICN ICN-AMF indicating handover of a UE from a source NG-RAN to a target NG-RAN. The ICN-CF transmits, to an ICN router, an update request to update a PIT and/or FIB table to enable data communications with the UE after handover. The request includes the UE and target NG-RAN, and if the source and target ICN-PoA are different, the source and target ICN-PoA and the ICN-GW.

Abstract: A method for authentication for wireless power transfer which comprises: receiving an initial certificate signed using a private key associated with an intermediate certificate authority (CA) certificate; determining that the intermediate CA certificate is revoked; determining if a replacement certificate for the initial certificate exists; and if a replacement certificate for the initial certificate exists, trusting a wireless power transfer device associated with the initial certificate.
Abstract: Techniques are provided for mitigating inter-carrier interference (ICI) due to frequency multiplexed downlink channels with mixed numerologies. For example, a base station allocates, for a user equipment (UE), a first downlink (DL) channel and a second DL channel that are frequency multiplexed in a same bandwidth part (BWP) and have different channel numerologies The base station determines a guard band interval between the first DL channel and the second DL channel based on one or more characteristics of the different channel numerologies, transmits DL transmissions to the UE, over the first DL channel and the second DL channel, using the guard band interval between the first DL channel and the second DL channel.

Here, the step for dividing a picture into a plurality of tiles may include: a step for determining the width of a first tile column in the picture; and a step for determining the width of a second tile column neighboring the first tile column.
Abstract: A network device such as an evolved NodeB (eNB) or next generation NodeB (gNB) can configure a set of user equipment (UE) for cell reference signal (CRS) muting in order to provide better channel quality and power efficiency in communications. Where an eNB mutes CRS transmissions that are not needed by any UE, an improvement in downlink throughput and reduce connection drop rate can be generated. A CRS muting capability can be determined based on a user equipment (UE) capability information. According to the CRS muting capability of a UE, the CRS can be transmitted at frequency locations based on CRS muting configuration parameters.

Abstract: A controller may have an input device and a sensor adjacent to the input device. The input device may be a touch sensor, a touch screen display, a button, a rotatable knob, or other device that gathers user input. The input device may be reachable by different users occupying different respective seats. The sensor may be an infrared optical sensor that emits infrared light and measures the emitted infrared light after the emitted infrared light has reflected from the hand of a user. The sensor may determine from these hand measurements which of the different users is supplying user input to the input device. Hand distance information and other information on the current user of the input device may also be gathered. The input device may be deployed by an actuator based on hand speed information.
