  • Patent number: 11704978
Abstract: A bonus round of a video keno game may consist of a series of bonus game instances. During a bonus game instance, a game controller may identify a set of bonus game pieces and select a set of bonus outcome identifiers from a bonus outcome pool. A win amount may be determined based on the number of matches between the set of bonus outcome identifiers and the set of bonus game pieces. The bonus outcome identifiers may include persistent identifiers and non-persistent identifiers. Persistent identifiers may be removed from the bonus outcome pool for subsequent bonus game instances in the series. Additionally or alternatively, the bonus game pieces corresponding to the persistent identifiers may continue to be matches for the subsequent bonus game instances in the series.

  • Patent number: 11699560
Abstract: A button deck includes a substrate and a two-part non-penetrating pushbutton assembly with an upper portion positioned on an upper surface of the substrate and a lower portion positioned on a lower surface of the substrate. The upper portion includes a button face positioned in a button frame that is coupled to the upper surface of the substrate. The button face is configured to be pressed to move within the button frame toward the upper surface of the substrate. The upper portion and the lower portion are configured to work together to provide a signal to an EGM that the button face has been pressed. The pushbutton assembly is non-penetrating because it does not provide any penetration points through the substrate of the button deck.

  • Patent number: 11688246
Abstract: Rather than typical slot type games where specific matching combinations of symbols along paylines through a row-by-column grid or matrix indicate the outcome of the game, a slot type concatenation game concatenates value symbols along a payline to form a numerical outcome. Non-value symbols may be omitted and/or ignored. Further, the payline may be indicated by the presence of a trigger symbol, which may allow the payline to change between different plays of the slot type concatenation game. Further, the slot type concatenation game may be user-configurable. Users may be allowed to indicate the number of the symbol reels that may include value symbols that will be concatenated along a payline defined by the trigger symbol. Users may be allowed indicate the denomination set that is used to configure the symbol reels with value symbols, such as from one or more value symbol tables.

  • Patent number: 11688247
Abstract: According to some implementations, when a triggering symbol lands in a defined area of a slot game display during an instance of a base game, there is a chance that the triggering symbol may change to a new symbol. If so, the new symbol may be held in the defined area and may persist during one or more additional purchased base game instances. The new symbol may persist if at least one additional triggering symbol lands in the defined area in subsequent bought games. Each additional triggering symbol may automatically change to a new symbol as the additional triggering symbol lands in the defined area of the slot game display. Whether the triggering symbol will change to a new symbol may involve a random component. In some examples, the greater the number of triggering symbols, the greater the probability the triggering symbol will change to the new symbol.

  • Patent number: 11676454
Abstract: A credit-substitution symbol mechanic for a gaming device is described. The credit-substitution symbol mechanic randomly triggers an add-substitution symbol feature and randomly determines a number of substitution symbols to add to a first reel to be displayed in a reel area. The credit-substitution symbol mechanic randomly determines a substitution symbol from the number of substitution symbols added to the first reel is a credit-substitution symbol and determines that the credit-substitution symbol is part of a payline. The credit-substitution symbol substitutes as a different symbol type when forming the payline. The credit-substitution symbol mechanic performs a first payout for the payline that pays out a payline award and performs a second payout for the payline that pays out a credit value of the credit-substitution symbol.
