Abstract: In a method of manufacturing a heat exchanger tube sheet sealing elements are arranged on respective ends of heat exchanger tubes. Said ends of the heat exchanger tubes having the sealing elements are arranged at predetermined positions in a mould. Said ends of the heat exchanger tubes are sealed such that a tube sheet material to be casted in the mould does not enter the heat exchanger tubes during casting of the tube sheet material. A tube sheet material is casted in the mould for covering the sealing elements. The tube sheet material is hardened in the mould.

Abstract: A drive mechanism comprises a transmission as well as an electromotor/generator. The transmission is connected via an input to the electromotor/generator and via an output to the wheels. The transmission has two planetary gear sets having three rotational members each, of which first rotational members are connected to the input, second rotational members are connected to the output and third rotational members are connected to a first and second brake respectively. By actuating either of the brakes a speed transforming gear is created between the input and the output. By actuating one brake during the releasing of the other brake, it is possible to switch between the two speed transforming gears without an interruption of the torque transfer from the electromotor/generator to the load or vice versa.

Therein, a data structure for storing data within the memory array is defined by a predetermined protocol. The data structure comprises: a header data block including predefined header data; an application data block for storing application data; a memory control data block including a reservation indicator for indicating a reserved partial memory area of the memory array where, in accordance with the predetermined protocol, application data cannot be read or written by a protocol compliant reader device. The method for storing data comprises storing additional application data in the reserved partial memory area.

Abstract: Method for remotely ordering clothing for a person (1), the person sends two profile images of himself/herself to the processing means (11), which determines there from two person profiles. The processing means determines the requested clothes size or clothes dimensions, by using a data set (12) with representations of virtual persons or pieces of clothing. The processing means use a matching, fitting or rendering algorithm for determining the largest similarity between the supplied person profiles and the representations of virtual people or clothes in said generic data set. Input into the processing means is done via a local terminal, via the Internet.
Abstract: An apparatus 10, and system 70 may be embodied as an article 70 or method implementing transactions between a central or “core” application 72, a fulfillment application 96 at a venue, and a wireless communication application 84, 86 hosted on a computing device 10, such as a cell phone, of an attendee at an event at that venue. Customers may sign up online, through various types of web applications 88 or dedicated applications 92, to receive information, such as menus, catalogs, or the like of available products to be at the event. The core application 72 may manage a database 74 of records of customers, products, and fulfilment locations, and may send to fulfilment locations instructions to dispatch “runners” to deliver products to seat locations of customers ordering through wireless computer devices 12 at a venue.

Abstract: At least one embodiment of the inventive technology may involve the intentional changing of the stability of an emulsion from a first stability to a more desired, second stability upon the addition of a more aromatic asphaltene subfraction (perhaps even a most aromatic asphaltene subfraction), or a less aromatic asphaltene subfraction (perhaps even a least aromatic asphatene subfraction) to a emulsion hydrocarbon of an oil emulsion, thereby increasing emulsion stability or decreasing emulsion stability, respectively. Precipitation and redis solution or sorbent-based techniques may be used to isolate a selected asphaltene subfraction before its addition to an emulsion hydrocarbon when that hydrocarbon is part of an emulsion or an ingredient of a yet-to-be-formed emulsion.

Abstract: TAR enable write heads may use a plasmonic device (e.g., an optical transducer) which uses electromagnetic energy generated from a laser to heat the magnetic media. However, as the temperature of the plasmonic device rises, the likelihood of stressing the material of the device or other materials of the head near the plasmonic device increases. Accordingly, the write head may include a temperature sensor proximate to the plasmonic device. In one embodiment, the resistance of the temperature sensor may change according to the temperature of the plasmonic device. Based on the measured resistance of the temperature sensor, a sensing circuit may adjust the power of the laser, and thus, prevent the stressing of the materials. Moreover, the thermal coupling between the temperature sensor and a heat sink connected to the plasmonic device may be improved by moving elements associated with the sensing circuit closer to a heat sink.
