    Abstract: A broadband gateway may manage confidential data associated with users in a home network managed and/or serviced by the broadband gateway. The broadband gateway may store the user confidential data broadband gateway in a distributed manner, wherein the confidential data may be divided into a plurality of portions and stored separately in multiple storage locations or devices. When users authorize the transfer of the confidential data, all portions may be communicated to enable aggregating them such that the confidential data may be obtained. The user confidential data may be encrypted. The broadband gateway may securely communicate and/or share the user confidential user data. This may be achieved by tracking communication of the user confidential data, by using tags incorporated into the data. The broadband gateway may also ensure that communicated confidential data is rendered unusable under certain conditions, based on use for various timing tags for example.

    Abstract: A cable network gateway receives a downstream broadband signal via service provider cabling at an interface. An Analog to Digital Converter (ADC) converts the downstream broadband signal to a digital downstream broadband signal. A digital filter attenuates an upper spectrum from the digital downstream broadband signal to produce a filtered digitized downstream broadband signal. An in-home communications transceiver produces a digital in-home communications signal that overlaps the upper spectrum. Summing circuitry sums the filtered digitized downstream broadband signal with the digital in-home communications signal to produce a combined digital signal. A Digital to Analog Converter (DAC) converts the combined digital signal to a combined analog signal and an in-home cable interface transmits the combined analog signal via in-home cabling. The downstream broadband signal may be a Data over Cable System Interface Specification (DOCSIS) 3.0/3.

    Abstract: A method and system detect directionality between two objects by measuring angles of signals incident on antenna arrays on at least one side to determine angle of incidence. The methods utilize Bluetooth Low Energy communications as the means for both the control protocol and for providing updated information for deriving directionality. Directionality information is broadcast on selected BLE advertising or data channels, or broadcast using a hopping pattern over the BLE data channels, both at a specific interval duty cycle. If a hopping pattern is selected to transmit directionality information, then anchor information is simultaneously broadcast on the BLE advertising or data channels at a different, asynchronous duty cycle. In additional embodiments, signals incident on antenna arrays located on both target and tracking sides are used to determine angle of incidence, separate antennas are combined to form new antennas and antenna models are used to anticipate known antenna structure responses.

The first Ethernet device may then transmit a second frame from a second buffer onto the Ethernet link. The first Ethernet device may resume transmission of the first frame from the first buffer onto the Ethernet link. A second Ethernet device may receive, via the Ethernet link, a first portion of a first Ethernet frame and store the first portion of the first Ethernet frame in a first buffer. The second Ethernet device may then receive, via the Ethernet link, a second Ethernet frame and store the second Ethernet frame in a second buffer. The second Ethernet device may then receive, via the Ethernet link, a second portion of the first Ethernet frame and append it to the contents of the first buffer.

The feedback controller can compensate for changes in environmental conditions, such as supply voltage, line profile, line impedance per protocol, doping gradient, and temperature. Also, this feedback controller allows for avoiding constant hardware modifications to the LIU for adjusting to different protocols or masks. It also can enable the LIU to instantiate a great number of times, such as twenty-one times on the same die, where the transmit part performs the feedback controller independently for each instantiation.
