Abstract: A method and system for secure and scalable key management for cryptographic processing of data is described herein. In the method, a General Purpose Cryptographic Engine (GPE) receives key material via a secure channel from a key server and stores the received Key encryption keys (KEKs) and/or plain text keys in a secure key cache. When a request is received from a host to cryptographically process a block of data, the requesting entity is authenticated using an authentication tag included in the request. The GPE retrieves a plaintext key or generate a plaintext using a KEK if the authentication is successful, cryptographically processes the data using the plaintext key and transmits the processed data. The system includes a key server that securely provides encrypted keys and/or key handles to a host and key encryption keys and/or plaintext keys to the GPE.
Abstract: An apparatus and method for multi-point detection in a power source equipment (PSE) device is provided. During multi-point detection, a series of at least four currents is sequentially applied to a link port of the PSE device. Each current is applied during a different measurement interval. A voltage measurement sample is obtained for each of the measurement intervals. A difference in voltage between alternating voltage samples is determined and used by a detection module to determine whether a valid power device is coupled to the link port of the PSE.

Abstract: A home wireless router establishes a Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) that supports wireless communications within a WLAN service area. The home wireless router further establishes broadband communications via a broadband connection with a VoIP service accumulator. The home wireless router services a plurality of wireless terminals within the WLAN service area, including at least one Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) wireless terminal. The home wireless router determines that a VoIP wireless terminal desires VoIP call servicing. The home wireless router sends a bandwidth reservation request to the VoIP service accumulator to reserve capacity on the broadband connection for servicing of the VoIP call. The home wireless router then receives a bandwidth reservation response from the VoIP service accumulator to confirm reservation of capacity on the broadband connection for servicing of the VoIP call.

Abstract: Aspects of a method and system for decoding single antenna interference cancellation (SAIC) and redundancy processing adaptation using frame process are provided. A receiver may decode video, voice, and/or speech bit sequences based on a first decoding algorithm that may utilize data redundancy and that may impose physical constraints. The receiver may also decode a bit sequence based on a second decoding algorithm that utilizes SAIC. The first and second decoding algorithms may be adapted to perform in parallel and a decoded received bit sequence may be selected based on a redundancy verification parameter. The first and second decoding algorithms may also be adapted to be performed sequentially where the subsequent decoding operation may be conditioned to the initial decoding operation. Moreover, either the first or the second decoding algorithm may be selected for decoding the received bit sequence. The selection may be based on noise and/or interference measurements.

Abstract: The present invention provides a method of processing radio frequency (RF) bursts dependent on a speech mode associated with data contained within the RF burst. Different voice modes, full rate, half rate, and adaptive multi-channel rates each may require different signal to noise ratio (SNR) conditions in order to be successfully processed. To improve the equalization of the received RF burst(s), the SNR associated with the burst is estimated. Then based on the SNR or other related conditions (i.e. the presence or absence of colored noise, and the estimated channel profile) a decision can be made as to whether or not an interference cancellation burst process should be implemented.

The enclosure structure also dissipates heat generated by the IC die during operation.
Abstract: In a communication system, Huffman coding techniques are used to obtain shaping gains for an improvement in data transmission rates.
