Abstract: A method of probing an electrical device using a membrane probing system having an improved contact. A membrane probe forms a contact having a ridge with a pair of inclined surfaces defining an acute angle such that, when pressed into an electrical pad of a device to be tested, the ridge penetrates into the electrical pad, shearing away any oxide on the surface of the pad. The device may then be tested.

Apparatus embodiments include a housing defining an inlet portion, an outlet portion and a chamber fluidly coupled there between for receiving hollow fiber media, in either bulk or cartridge form, wherein the media is hydrophilic and/or hydrophobic. Passive, i.e., gravity fed or active, i.e., mechanically pressurized versions are disclosed. Apparatus may further include user reversible/replaceable check valves, a receptacle fitting adaptor to allow the use of a variety of receiving containers with a single filtration device, and configurations wherein at least 80% of a maximum flow rate through the filter can be achieved when an inlet fluid pressure is about 0.2 bar. A buoyant pre-filter with an optional hydrophilic filter element may also be used to establish a system.

Abstract: A test structure including a differential gain cell and a differential signal probe include compensation for the Miller effect reducing the frequency dependent variability of the input impedance of the test structure.
Abstract: A socket assembly includes a housing with a plurality of through openings that extend between opposite surfaces of the housing. First and second plurality of contact members are positioned in a plurality of the through openings. The contact members each include major beams and minor beams with proximal ends attached to a center portion, and distal ends extending away from the center portion. The major beams preferably have a length greater than the minor beams. When the first circuit member is engaged with the socket assembly the ball grid array displaces the distal ends of the major beams to create a plurality of first and second forces. The first plurality of forces generally oppose the second plurality of forces. The first and second plurality of forces also generate an engagement force that biases the first circuit member toward the housing. The minor beams on the first and second plurality of contact members do not contribute to the engagement force.
Abstract: Methods and devices for preparing a solid-fibrin web are provided. One method may include drawing blood from a patient, separating plasma from the blood, contacting the plasma with a calcium-coagulation activator and concurrently coagulating and axially centrifuging the plasma to form the solid-fibrin web. The solid-fibrin web may be suitable for regenerating body tissue in a living organism. Devices used in the methods may also be provided.
Abstract: A plurality of calibration structures facilitate calibration of a probing system that includes a differential signal probe having a linear array of probe tips.
Abstract: Hydraulic valve circuitry adapted for automatic weight-responsive control of load-clamping members of a load-lifting system having a free lift mast. The load-lifting system generally includes one or more fluid power actuator for applying a gripping force to a load, at least one elongate, longitudinally-extensible fluid power lifting device having a free lift range of motion and at least one main lift range of motion, and manually operated load-clamping and load-lifting selector valves. The hydraulic valve circuitry provides, independently, weight-responsive control of the load-clamping members when lifting a load, full-time automatic weight-responsive force control of the load-clamping members without concurrent manual actuation of load-clamping or load-lifting selector valves, and equalization of sensed load weight so that the sensed load weight is substantially independent of the longitudinally-extensible position of the lifting device.
Abstract: Disclosed herein is an attenuation device, comprising a flexible housing and a high vapor pressure media having a permeability of less than 1 ml/day at body temperature through the outer wall of the flexible housing. In one embodiment, the high vapor pressure media comprises perfluorooctylbromide. In another embodiment, the high vapor pressure media comprises perfluorohexane. In yet another embodiment, the high vapor pressure media comprises perfluorodecalin. Also disclosed herein is a method of treating a patient, comprising providing a compressible attenuation device and introducing within the attenuation device at least one high vapor pressure media.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a probe tip assembly for testing of integrated circuits or other microelectronic devices. The probe tip assembly may include a plurality of independently flexible contact fingers extending from a support, each contact finger spaced apart from the other contact fingers, and each contact finger terminating in free space at an end distal from the support. A probe may be constructed by attaching the free ends of the contact fingers to electrical contacts on a circuit board and then removing the support from the contact fingers.

Abstract: A substrate, preferably constructed of a ductile material and a tool having the desired shape of the resulting device for contacting contact pads on a test device is brought into contact with the substrate. The tool is preferably constructed of a material that is harder than the substrate so that a depression can be readily made therein. A dielectric (insulative) layer, that is preferably patterned, is supported by the substrate. A conductive material is located within the depressions and then preferably lapped to remove excess from the top surface of the dielectric layer and to provide a flat overall surface. A trace is patterned on the dielectric layer and the conductive material. A polyimide layer is then preferably patterned over the entire surface. The substrate is then removed by any suitable process.
