Abstract: A vehicle tire has a pattern visible in the side wall located in a groove thereof extending across the entire circumference of the tire and oriented in a circumferential direction (U). The groove is formed of first groove segments and second groove segments, which in the circumferential direction are arranged in alternating sequence one behind the other. Radially outwardly, the groove segments are each defined by a radially outward defining flank and radially inwardly, are defined by a radially inward defining flank defining the groove radially inward. The first groove segments are arranged radially outside the second groove segments and the transition between a first groove segment and the adjacent second groove segment is configured as a radial offset of the groove by the amount of displacement (a).
Abstract: A pneumatic vehicle tire includes a carcass, a tire belt configured radially outside of the carcass and a profiled tread. The tire belt is formed of a plurality of tire belt plies, of which at least two tire belt plies are configured as working plies having parallel reinforcements made of steel and embedded in rubber, and having an angle of 10° to 24° with respect to the circumferential direction (U). The reinforcements of the one working ply have an axial direction of inclination opposite with respect to the reinforcements of the other working ply. The reinforcements of the first of the two working plies have an extendability D of D<0.2% at 10% of the breaking force, and the reinforcements of the second of the two working plies have an extendability D of D>0.2% at 10% of the breaking force.
Abstract: A vehicle pneumatic tire has a two-layer belt and a tread having profile grooves within width TW 45. The maximum depth of the profile grooves varies within TW 45 and the tread has an outer contour defined by reference to rolling radius differences. The maximum depth of the grooves within a center region of TW 45 is the same. The maximum depth of the grooves in the shoulder region is a maximum of 2 mm less than in the center region. The outer contour of the tread in the center region is made flat so that the outer contour radius difference (ArdM) between the zenith and the center region axial end is less than 1 mm, and the outer contour of the tread in the transition region is configured so that the outer contour radius difference (Ards) between the zenith and the transition is 3 mm to 5 mm.

Abstract: A strength member for elastomeric articles of manufacture, in particular for the belt bandage of a pneumatic vehicle tire, wherein the strength member is a hybrid cord comprising at least one low-modulus yam having a modulus of elasticity of not more than 100 mN/(tex·%) and at least one high-modulus yam having a modulus of elasticity of not less than 200 mN/(tex·%), each to ASTM D885M at an elongation of 3%, wherein all the yams of the hybrid cord are folded together and wherein the hybrid cord is provided an adhesive impregnation.
Abstract: Pneumatic vehicle tire includes a carcass, a belt with at least three belt plies arranged one on top of the other in a radial direction and being arranged radially outside the carcass and a profiled tread arranged radially outside the belt. The at least three belt plies include a radially inner belt ply and a radially outer belt ply are working plies having parallel strength members that are embedded in rubber so that, when viewed in a circumferential direction of the vehicle tire, the strength members of the radially inner belt ply have an opposing axial direction of inclination to the strength members of the radially outer belt ply. A generally zero-degree ply is arranged between and in contact with the two working plies.
Abstract: Self-sealing tire sealants are provided which contain fragments and/or residues of expanded solids, where the solids are selected from the group containing expandable graphite and microspheres. In some aspects, the microspheres include at least isobutane and/or isopentane as blowing agents. The microspheres may also have a shell containing at least one polymer, and in some cases the polymer is at least one copolymer of acrylonitrile and methyl acrylate. The self-sealing tire sealant may further include graphene structures. In some aspects the interior of a pneumatic vehicle tire has the self-sealing tire sealant disposed on the inner surface, opposite the tire tread, and the layer thickness of the tire sealant may be from 0.5 to 8 mm.

Abstract: A sulfur-crosslinkable rubber mixture includes from 40 to 100 phr of at least one natural and/or synthetic polyisoprene, and 15 phr or more of at least one hydrocarbon resin which is built up to the extent of 50 to 100 wt. % from aliphatic C5 monomers and to the extent of 0 to 50 wt. % from further monomers, where the hydrocarbon resin according to formula I) has a Q of from 0.015 [° C.·mol/g] to 0.050 [° C.·mol/g]. Formula I) is defined as Q=softening point [° C.]/centrifuge average Mc [g/mol]. In some aspects, the sulfur-crosslinkable rubber mixture includes 15 to 300 phr of the hydrocarbon resin, or even from 36 to 100 phr of the hydrocarbon resin. The further monomer(s) is or are selected from the group of unsaturated compounds, which can be polymerized cationically, which includes aromatics and/or unsaturated terpenes and/or alkenes and/or cycloalkenes.

Abstract: An apparatus for displaying the state of the tire pressure for a vehicle tire of a truck trailer includes a lamp to optically display the tire pressure state. An arm is provided with the lamp arranged thereon. A mount fixes the arm to the truck trailer and the arm is made substantially of an elastomer material so as to cause the arm to be flexibly deformable when colliding with a foreign object. The arm reverts back to its initial configuration after such a collision as a result of its elastic material characteristic.
