Abstract: The invention relates to a method for monitoring and detecting the detachment of a tire module from the inner face of the tire, having the following steps: measuring the centrifugal acceleration on a tire module by an acceleration sensor arranged in the tire module; forwarding the measured acceleration values to an evaluation unit; analyzing the acceleration values upon acceleration of the vehicle in the starting phase or upon constant low speeds of the vehicle; activating a warning signal in the evaluation unit, insofar as the analysis of the acceleration values results in a statistically significant standard deviation in comparison to a not detached tire module from the inner face of another tire, thus detecting a freely tumbling tire module in the hollow space of the tire; outputting a warning signal indicating which tire module has detached from the inner face of the tire to the vehicle owner.
Abstract: A sulfur-crosslinkable rubberizing mixture for strengthening elements in motor vehicle pneumatic tires comprises 70 to 100 phr (parts by weight, based on 100 parts by weight of total rubbers in the mixture) of natural rubber, up to 30 phr of at least one polybutadiene, 40 to 70 phr of at least one carbon black and a bonding system. Further, motor vehicle pneumatic tires are disclosed that comprise the sulfur-crosslinked rubberizing mixture. The key conflict between tear propagation resistance, stiffness and heat build-up is solved by virtue of the carbon black being a nanostructured carbon black with a rough surface.

Abstract: A pneumatic tire for a commercial vehicle with a tread, wherein at least the part of the tread which comes into contact with the road contains a sulphur-vulcanized rubber mixture. The sulphur-vulcanized rubber mixture contains 90 to 50 phr (parts by weight, based on 100 parts by weight, of all of the rubbers in the mixture) of natural rubber, 10 to 50 phr of at least one polybutadiene having a glass transition temperature Tg of ?110 to ?65° C. and 5 to 50 phr of at least one aliphatic and/or aromatic hydrocarbon resin having a softening point (ring and ball to ASTM E 28) of 0 to 150° C., and a mean molecular weight Mn of less than 2000 g/mol and a polydispersity D=Mw/Mn of 1 to 5.

Abstract: Bicycle tires with at least one reinforcement layer that contains strength supports and that is arranged between carcass and tread rubber and/or between carcass layers below the tread rubber and/or within the tread rubber. For a high resistance to puncturing with low weight, the reinforcement layer contains multifilament threads of more than 30 polyester/polyarylate filaments, and the filaments are spun from molten liquid-crystal polymer.
Abstract: A process for producing polymer-functionalized filler particles and polymer-functionalized filler particles obtained by this process. The polymer-functionalized filler particles are used as additives for rubber mixtures. The polymers for functionalizing the filler particles are obtained in-situ starting from filler particles having a surface-bound RAFT agent. The binding of silyl-bearing RAFT agents and of Diels-Alder RAFT agents occurs via the R-group and the subsequent RAFT polymerization proceeds via a reactive site of the RAFT agent.
Abstract: A pneumatic vehicle tire, in particular for heavy commercial trucks, having a tread with a number of circumferential grooves which run in the circumferential direction and which separate profile positives, such as block rows or profile ribs, from one another. The circumferential grooves are each bounded by a groove base and two groove edges. In order to effectively prevent the occurrence of tears at the groove base of the circumferential grooves, in particular at the groove base of the circumferential grooves which extend on the shoulder side, the groove base extends, viewed in cross section and in the axial direction, at an angle of inclination of 3 degrees to 15 degrees with respect to an envelope which encompasses the outer faces of the profile positives.
