  • Publication number: 20220220579
Abstract: A method of preparing remediated MoO3 from naturally-occurring molybdenum, or molybdenum that is enriched in one, the other or both of Mo-98 and Mo-100 isotopes from a particulate rhenium-containing MoO3 matrix that contains one, the other or both of those isotopes is disclosed as is the product remediated MoO3 that contains less than about 1000 ppt rhenium. In accordance with the invention, particulate rhenium-containing MoO3 matrix is heated in the presence of an oxygen-containing gaseous stream to a temperature of greater than about 300° C. and less than about 800° C. The temperature and oxidative sparging are maintained for a time sufficient to assure that rhenium has been oxidized to rhenium(VII), diffuses to form the dimer (Re2O7), and is then vaporizingly removed as Re2O7, while retaining the remediated MoO3.

  • Patent number: 11384351
Abstract: The present invention relates to the field of nucleic acid purification. In particular, it relates to methods and tools for purifying nucleic acids in a sample; which are compatible with high-throughput sequencing and diagnosis. The inventors have shown that nucleic acid binding proteins recruited to polymerized tubulin (i.e. microtubules) could, subsequently, be isolated from cell lysates. Surprisingly, it has now been found that the amount of recovered nucleic acid found in these microtubule pellets increases dramatically in the presence of nucleic acid-trapping proteins comprising a nucleic acid-binding moiety and a polymerized tubulin-binding moiety, by comparison to proteins devoid of the nucleic acid-binding moiety; and that the recovery of the purified nucleic acids was itself particularly efficient. This purification method is particularly amenable to high-throughput sequencing and/or in the context of a diagnosis method for identifying or comparing the amount of nucleic acids in a set of samples.

  • Patent number: 11386346
Abstract: Techniques are provided for computing problems represented as directed graphical models via quantum processors with topologies and coupling physics which correspond to undirected graphs. These include techniques for generating approximations of Bayesian networks via a quantum processor capable of computing problems based on a Markov network-based representation of such problems. Approximations may be generated by moralization of Bayesian networks to Markov networks, learning of Bayesian networks' probability distributions by Markov networks' probability distributions, or otherwise, and are trained by executing the resulting Markov network on the quantum processor.

  • Publication number: 20220214384
Abstract: A three-phase load is powered by a PWM (e.g., SVPWM) driven DC-AC inverter having a single shunt-topology. A shunt voltage and a branch voltage of the inverter (across a transistor to be calibrated) are measured during a second period of each SVPWM sector, and the drain-to-source resistance of the calibrated transistor is calculated. During the fourth period of each SVPWM sector, the branch voltage is measured again, and another branch voltage across another transistor is measured. Using the drain-to-source resistance of the calibrated transistor and the voltage across the calibrated transistor measured during the fourth period, the phase current through the calibrated transistor is calculated. Using the other branch voltage measured during the fourth period and the drain-to-source resistance of its corresponding transistor (known from a prior SVPWM sector), the phase current through that transistor is calculated. From the two calculated phase currents, the other phase current can be calculated.
