Abstract: A non-irritation, non-blurring ophthalmic sunscreen composition contains a liquid vehicle base, such as an artificial tear formulation or an ophthalmic suspension or ointment. The composition includes at least one inorganic and/or at least one organic active ingredient. The inorganic active ingredients may include, but not be limited to zinc oxide, titanium dioxide, iron oxide, zirconium oxide, and cerium oxide. The organic active ingredients may include, but not be limited to dioxybenzone, octinoxate, octisalate, homosalate, avobenzone, octocrylene, para-aminobenzoic acid, cinoxate, methyl anthranilate, octocrylene, padimate O, ensulizole, sulisobenzone, trolamine salicylate, and ecamsule.

Abstract: An inflatable transfer mattress includes a top panel, a bottom panel having a perimeter sealingly coupled to a perimeter of the top panel to define an internal volume therebetween, and a rotational positioning device coupled to the top panel. The internal volume is configured to receive an air flow therein. The rotational positioning device is positioned outside of the internal volume and includes at least one inflatable bladder configured to be inflated from a deflated state to an inflated state. The bladder portion is configured to rotate a patient to a predetermined angle with respect to the top panel in the inflated state.

Abstract: The invention related to high glycerol compositions comprising blends of alkyl isethionate and alkyl taurate. Selecting specific ratios of isethionate to taurate allows preparation of high glycerol liquids while minimizing amphoteric, all while retaining clear, isotropic liquid.

Abstract: A handheld biopsy punch pen assembly with a first sampling housing selectively removably couplable to a body of the assembly and having a skin puncturing assembly disposed therein that includes a distal tip and with at least one blade member disposed thereon. Abstract: An aerosol hairspray product includes a pressurisable container having a propellant and a container wall which encloses a reservoir, a hairstyling formulation having from 20 wt % to 75 wt % alcohol, by total weight of the hairstyling formulation and propellant and from 1.0 wt % to wt % hairstyling polymer, by total weight of the hairstyling formulation and propellant, and a spraying device attached to the pressurisable container and having a valve and an actuator. The reservoir is configured to store the hairstyling formulation. The valve has a spring means, a valve body having a stem, a restricted tail piece (RTP) having a first diameter of from 0.1 mm to 2.5 mm, and a vapour phase tap (VPT) having a second diameter of from 0.1 mm to 1.5 mm. The actuator has a main spray channel and communicates with an insert.

Abstract: Microbolometer detectors and arrays fabricated using printed electronics and photonics techniques, including ink-based printing, are disclosed. A microbolometer detector can include a substrate, a platform suspended above the substrate, and a thermistor printed on the platform and made of a thermistor material including an electrically conducting polymer, for example a poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene) polystyrene sulfonate (PEDOT:PSS) polymeric composition. The microbolometer detector can also include an electrode structure electrically connected to the thermistor, and an ohmic contact layer interposed between the thermistor and the electrode structure. The electrode structure can be made of an electrode material including silver, while the ohmic contact layer can be made of an ohmic contact material including a PEDOT-carbon nanotube polymeric composition. A microbolometer array can include a plurality of microbolometer detectors arranged in a linear or two-dimensional matrix.

The inner housing is located within the interior receptacle and includes a quantity of grease absorbent media in communication with the inlet. The grease absorbent media is hydrophobic, and the inner housing includes a porous portion proximate the sloped drainage surface.

Abstract: A latch system that includes a paddle button assembly having a button that is movable between home and actuation positions, a latch assembly that includes a striker assembly with a striker and a hook assembly, and a cable that extends between the paddle button and latch assembly. The hook assembly includes a hook, a pivotal trigger arm, and a manual override switch that is movable between first and second positions when the trigger arm is moved from an engaged position to a disengaged position. Movement of the button from the home position to the actuation position pushes or pulls the cable, thereby pivoting the trigger arm from the engaged to the disengaged position and disengaging the hook from the striker. Pivotal movement of the trigger arm from the engaged to the disengaged position results in linear movement of the manual override switch from the first to the second position.

The deforming member is associated with the protective element and is capable of rotating autonomously with respect thereto after administration of the drug to deform the cannula.

Abstract: A control method for opening a door of a drum washing machine comprises the steps: S1, receiving a door opening instruction sent by a user; S2, judging whether a water level at a front end of a drum assembly satisfies a condition of opening the door, if yes, entering step S4, if no, entering step S3; S3, tilting the drum assembly with a tilting mechanism, and then returning to step S2; and S4, unlocking a door lock. Through a manner of lifting a front end of the drum assembly, the operation of opening the door during running is realized. In this way, the original parts of the washing machine do not need to be changed, and the drum assembly is tilted only through a driving device arranged at a lower part of the drum assembly or through a hanging spring arranged at a top part of the drum assembly.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a SOCS1-derived peptide for use in chronic complications of diabetes, particularly ocular, renal, nerve and vascular complications, as well as compositions containing same and isolated polynucleotides encoding same. The present invention also relates to the SOCS1-derived peptide for topical use in the treatment and/or prevention of neurodegenerative diseases of the retina, particularly in the early stages of diabetic retinopathy and other diseases of the retina in which neurodegeneration plays an essential role.
