Abstract: Laundry detergent compositions containing a detergent surfactant, a detergent builder, and from about 0.1% to about 50% by weight ethylene aspartate cysteate sequestrants or its acid form are disclosed. These compositions provide enhanced removal of organic stains, such as food and beverage stains particularly polyphenolic stains such as wine, blueberry, tea, coffee, morello juice and the like.

Abstract: Anti-cellulite compositions based on a lipolytic active, which is an extract of Polygala tenuifolia, an extract of Platycodon grandiflorum, or an extract of Kochia scoparia. When Polygala tenuifolia or Platycodon grandiflorum is employed, a polar solvent extract is preferred. The extracts are preferably employed in conjunction with a xanthine, e.g. caffeine or theophylline (which are preferably obtained from a natural source), in order to lower the cost of the compositions.

Abstract: Edible plastic fat-product is provided that comprises a continuous fat phase and optionally a dispersed aqueous phase wherein the fat of the fat phase is a fat-composition comprising 20-65% liquid oil and 80-35% structuring fat and having N.sub.35 of 0-5 and N.sub.20 of 12-40, the difference between N.sub.20 and N.sub.35 being at least 12, preferably 18-30, which composition comprises 0-10% trans fatty acid residues and which comprises 10-50% not-interesterified lauric fat selected from the group consisting ofa combination of unhydrogenated and fully hydrogenated lauric fat, partially hydrogenated lauric fat,a combination thereof, anda combination of at least one thereof with other lauric fat.The choice of this lauric fat allows obtaining a big difference between N.sub.20 and N.sub.35, without using fats with a high content of trans fatty acid residues.

Abstract: A venetian blind assembly has a tilt drum support with a base which has a three-segment zig-zag type slot through which two ladder legs extend and are offset sidewardly from one another, with the tilt drum interposed from front to back between the two legs. The slot holds the ladder legs apart to insure non-overlapping winding of the joined ladder legs on the tilt drum. The tilt drum is connected to a flexible cable that turns and extends vertically downwardly on the window stile. The flexible cable is positioned by a plastic guide which is fastened to the stile. The flexible cable has an extruded fitting crimped to it which has a D-shaped opening in it. The fitting receives a vertical control rod which has a D-shape. The fitting opening is substantially deeper than is required to insure a proper connection with the vertical control rod. Hence the same vertical control rod may be installed on windows that vary in height by several inches, with the excess length absorbed within the fitting opening.
Abstract: An adjustable focusing apparatus in a scanning device is used in imagesetters, scanners, and platemaking devices to focus a scanning beam on an element to be scanned. Precise focusing is achieved with the adjustable focusing apparatus to produce output images free of undesirable artifacts. The scanning device produces a beam from a light source to scan the element. An optical system focuses the beam on a particular surface within the element. The adjustable focusing apparatus adjusts the focus position of the scanning beam relative to the element according to the thickness of the element.
Abstract: A new compound is disclosed which can be used as a builder. The compound is cysteic monosuccinic acid (CMS) and its salts as well as methods of making CMS.

Abstract: An agricultural drawbar adapted to be pulled by a power source and used for farming operations such as spraying or harrowing, is equipped with right and left wing booms which are adapted to be folded or unfolded from the transport to operating positions. To enable the drawbar to move more quickly and easily from one position to another, lockable inner caster wheels are attached to a tensioning/control assembly which is attached to the cart. During the folding process the inner lockable caster wheels are progressively turned as the wings move to the folded transport position, thus easing the implement quickly into the transport position without skidding or binding of the wheels. Furthermore, a semi-lockable outer caster wheel is adapted to rotate inwardly to a toe-out position to facilitate the unfolding of the drawbar when the drawbar is pushed rearwardly.

Abstract: An abutment for use in connecting a prosthesis to an implant member is provided with an opening in the rear wall thereof within which a pinion gear is mounted in a suitable rotational seal. The pinion gear is provided with a drive socket accessible from the exterior of the abutment such that the pinion gear may be rotated with an appropriate tool. The pinion gear is mated to a bevel gear formed on an annular flange of a retaining screw such that rotation of the pinion gear by the appropriate tool results in proportional rotation of the bevel gear. The retaining screw has a threaded portion and which engages an internally threaded portion of the implant member or of the abutment.

Abstract: A drilling tool, adapted to drill a wellbore in an earth formation, comprises a weight on bit equalizer shock sub. The weight on bit equalizer shock sub includes a precharged nitrogen chamber and additional chambers, the nitrogen in the nitrogen chamber adapted to telescopically open the equalizer shock sub during the drilling of the wellbore thereby maintaining a constant weight or force on the drill bit during the drilling operation. A force resultant from the pressurized nitrogen exists in the nitrogen chamber and additional forces resultant from a pressurized wellbore fluid exist in the additional chambers. The shock sub is specially designed in a particular manner to cause the sum of the force of the nitrogen in the nitrogen chamber and the additional forces of the wellbore fluid in the additional chambers to be equal solely to the force of the nitrogen in the nitrogen chamber.

Abstract: A water continuous fat emulsion is formed from 10-30 wt %. fat, 5-57 wt % water, 13-85 wt % of one of an acidity regulator, thickener, bulking agent, emulsifier, sweetener, flavor, colorant, humectant or preservative by mixing the components at a temperature above the melting point of the fat. Then the emulsion is cooled at a shear of 30-1500 s.sup.-1 for less than two minutes while phase inversion occurs.
